All the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a very good location. There are trees around which brings in the sound of birds. My room was very big and comfortable. Hot water around the clock.

I would have given it a higher rating if it wasn't for a disappointing incident when I left. I booked a bus to Pokhara with the manager, and I asked for the best bus. Unfortunately i got the worst from the 20 buses that were waiting that morning. he could have easily told me that his bus contact is not good and I should book elsewhere. That really spoilt what was otherwise a good stay. The hotel is old like many hotels in Thamel, and is probably due for renovations but all the positives I mentioned, make up for it.

Blue Horizon was great. It is located down a little side street - safe and away from the business of Kathmandu. The staff are brilliant. They always had a smile on their faces and were very helpful. The manager arranged our transfer to Salleri for our hike and our flights to Pokhara. It made life a little bit easier for us! We left our bags safely in Blue Horizon while we travelled around Nepal. The breakfast is lovely - a selection of fruits, yogurts and choice of egg to order fresh! It was great. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfy. Thank you very much Blue Horizon for the amazing stay!

Stayed here for two nights with a friend. Excellent hospitality from the front desk receptionist Mr Nirmal Timalsina,Miss Dolkar Gurung, Manager Mr. Pushpanath Acharya, including all restaurant staff. Special thanks to Mr. Santosh Adhikari, the director and owner Mr. Binod Kharel for making sure our stay was pleasant. The staff go out of their way to help with our needs, which makes us feel comfortable, safe, and at home!

There is nothing that I can remember.

I recommend it and I would come back. -Location in great: in Thamel, very close to the shops (2min walk) but still very quiet. -Staff: 10/10. They were really nice and helped me, always smiling. They helped me to book a taxi to the airport at a very good rate and gave me a bag with the breakfast since I was leaving very early (that was a nice gesture, thank you!). -Included breakfast: tea, instant coffee, fruits, toast, food… and you can order a omelette (that masala omelette was one of the best I’ve tried!) ;) -wifi works everywhere - hot shower -hairdryer -clean -confortable bed and pillows -A/C -my bedroom had a nice view of the trees - they have a nice rooftop to enjoy the sun in the afternoon -Value for the money

I think that confort and kindness are more important that some little details of decoration.

I had a very good stay. The room was spacious, and the location was outstanding - close to all the food and entertainment in Thamel. I basically walked everywhere I needed to. The staff, including those at reception, were very helpful. The manager, Puspa, is excellent and went out of his way to help me in terms of recommending places to go and finding me good rates for transportation, etc. Would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

This is literally one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff is SO NICE. I was sick for over a week while I was here and every morning, I was asked how I was doing. I think I had them send food up to my room a dozen times because I was too sick to leave my bed. Even though I was traveling solo, I felt like I had kind people looking out for me. I'm convinced you won't find service like this anywhere else in Kathmandu. This is the only place I'll stay when I come back. Also, the beds are very comfy and the rooms are spacious and super clean. Thank you so much for making my stay so comfortable!!

Literally nothing

This place was super, from the beginning right to the end. Puspa [the boss] went out of his way, along with the rest of the staff, to make you feel welcome. Every guest was welcomed so warmly and you were made feel at home.The location is so perfect, just off the main road but so quiet, so peaceful. As you sit in the garden you could not imagine you were so close to the centre of the action. I had a mishap while I was there and Puspa went over and beyond in helping me to get things sorted. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Thanks again Puspa!

I genuinely could not fault this hotel. It was great value for money, so friendly, so quiet yet so close to the busy streets.

Location great. Tucked away enough to make it nice and quiet while still being right in central Kathmandu. Price reasonable for what was provided. Staff very helpful. Associated travel agent group (Nepal peak adventure - Hom Rana) was fantastic. Really helpful prior to our arrival and once there (floods in KTM meant a late change to airports for Lukla transit). Hom is so well connected and provided us with great advice and help.

This place is excellent. It over exceeded my expectations. Everything from the staff to the food were superb. We pre booked the hotel before we arrived and as you'll be aware with this can lead to the unknown of quality within the hotel. Upon our arrival we were greeted with massive smiles and big vibrant personalities from front of house to back of house nothing was a problem. From the first instance I knew this place was wonderful and for the price I thought this can't be true.... Bit it simple was. We stayed here while we sorting ourselves out for our trek to EBC but low and behold they sorted all that for as well, which ran seamlessly. I work within hospitality at a very exclusive hotel and all I can say is the service we received here trumps the standard of my hotel, I never heard the word no come out anyone's mouth, if you wanted something you simply got it, no Hassel. The rooms were spacious and clean, while the garden space was relaxing and tranquil, Binod the hotel manger was very helpful and experienced and the location for the hotel was just outside the busy area of thamel but still within a 5 minute walk for the busy at Streets of Katmandu, giving you the peace to sleep comfortably but the access to live life of you choose. We are away to India for a period but come back to Katmandu to fly home, we will be staying here again upon our arrival back, massive 10 out of 10 thank you Blue Horizon Hotel, you made our trip.

The fact I can't live here all my life lol seriously for what we payed I can't fault a thing.

Great personnel, super helpful with everything, Good breakfast, the Hotel is perfectly located (2 Minutes Walk to all the Shopping of Thamel but in a side street so it is much More calm). The Storage of our luggage was also very Good and Not a Problem at all. We loved the area, the Hotel and the small Oasis (Garden) in Front, as well as the many opportunities to sit Outside on the Terrace. Highly recommended - we will definitely come back!

Everything was great - maybe just make sure that you Book quickly :) - the staff try to give you the best available rooms (on the Upper floors) - there everything is Perfect. Just some of the roms on the First floors can be a bit noisy from time to time (depending on the neighbours) - but for sure the Hotel is Not in charge for that.
