I recently had the pleasure of staying at the magnificent hotel, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by Niru and Celine with warm hospitality and a genuine desire to make my stay memorable. The staff at the hotel, under the capable leadership of Manager Ganga, went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Any concern or request I had was promptly addressed with utmost care and efficiency. I was also impressed by the hotel's cleanliness and hygiene. Especially in these times, it was reassuring to see the rigorous measures taken to ensure the safety and well-being of the guests. Shout out as well to the restaurant team, sorry I forget your names 🤦🏻‍♂️🙏😅 Overall, my stay at the magnificent hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who will visit Kathmandu, Nepal. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Ganga and the entire staff for their exceptional service and for making my stay truly unforgettable.

The Magnificent Hotel lives up to its reputation. Ganga, the manager, goes above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of. The hotel is clean and well located. I received an upgrade and the room I stayed in was spacious with all amenities provided and a lovely view. Bed and linens were comfy. Despite surrounding construction, room was peaceful. Breakfast buffet was hearty and included option to order other items. Ganga will help with anything you need outside the hotel and quote prices that are fair and competitive. I really enjoyed my stay here and plan to return.

All good. There isn’t a lift, but staff take care of your bags. If stairs are an issue, request a Lowe floor. Wood floor could be better buffed, but slippers were available so I made use of those. Bathroom floor slightly flooded during showers but dries quickly. You can use a towel as needed or ask staff to help speed up the process.

Oh my goodness!! What can I say? Our stay here was wonderful, from the first contact on Booking.com to our departure. The team are friendly, polite, helpful and always smiling. The breakfast had a nice selection with some extra options you can request. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The location, unbeatable. You are tucked away in a quiet corner at the edge of Thamel (the city center), yet, minutes walking to the hustle and bustle of the town. It's perfect. You have access to all the restaurants and shops nearby while still getting a quiet night's sleep, what's not to like? 🙏🏼 Oh and you get a free airport pick up 🤩

The hotel is centrally located near the main road of Thamel, yet tucked away in a quiet alley, making it a peaceful place to stay. The room is spacious and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and stable Wi-Fi. The staff are helpful and exceptionally friendly. While the breakfast selection is limited, the quality is good, especially the fried rice, fried noodles, and stir-fried vegetables.

Although the surroundings are quiet, the inside of the building can be quite noisy, especially in the early morning and late at night. The sound of doors banging is particularly loud and disruptive, often when guests return late or leave their rooms early. Additionally, the cleaning staff begins work around 7:00 a.m., cleaning both rooms and hallways. This can be quite disturbing for anyone trying to sleep in, particularly if you're jet-lagged or adjusting to a new time zone.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. This hotel is all about staff, they go above and beyond!! Clean, great location, top notch service. You get whatever you ask for. Few names I must mention- Bishal, Abhishek, Ganga Hari, Rohit - fantastic team. Staff at the breakfast were great too. I highly recommend staying at Magnificent hotel if you are visiting Kathmandu. If see anything missing just ask for it, hotel will arrange it for you.

Property does not have a lift however that does not affect your stay. Your luggage will be taken to the room and brought back at checkin and checkout.

After a long, delayed flight it was great that they had sent a driver to pick me up at the airport, which was a free service. It is comforting seeing your name on a sign when arriving in a new country, after midnight. The hotel is well located in Thamel, close to restaurants, clubs and tourist sites. I booked a few tours, and they all new where the hotel was located. The hotel staff booked me a cab, using indrive,a local app that gives the best rates. Guests pay the cabbie directly. Their included breakfast was decent, especially since it is included. The staff were very friendly, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great value.

Room was very clean, hot shower and bed super comfortable. It was probably one of the best included breakfast I had in Nepal. Good options and clean restaurant area. The location is near the main road but far enough to not hear the cars/honks… The staff was also very kind.

Unfortunately there is a building in construction right next to the hotel so during the day it’s very loud but this is completely independent issue. The housekeepers talking incredibly loud on the phone before 7am was a bit of a rough wake up. I understand they are working of course but as a customer, I personally find that it would be nicer to enjoy some longer quiet time.

I've stayed at Magnificent twice now, and both times have been excellent. This small hotel is definitely punching above its weight in terms of facilities, with spacious rooms, excellent bedding, great ac, powerful showers, and even body lotion in the room! The breakfast buffet is excellent, and it's in a really good location: close to Thamel but down a quiet side streets (and next to the mariott which has a safe atm). The staff are also amazing, super friendly, and helpful every time. I also had very late check ins both times, and they were still very awake and helpful.

We booked a trip to Chitwan National Park and it was really good value. We left some of our luggage at Magnificent hotel for free. The staff at Magnificent Hotel were fabulous. The dining room staff, the front desk staff, and others working in the hotel were extremely helpful and understanding of our needs, and always listened attentively to any feedback which we provided to them. In fact, during our stay at this hotel, the dining staff listened carefully to some feedback I gave them about some of the items on their menu which we had eaten, and the next day those issues had been solved. Not that is the height of customer service, and because of all this, we will be recommending the magnificent Hotel to our friends and others who wish to visit Kathmandu. 10 out of 10.
