The Malla Hotel pretty much exceeded all our expectations. The hotel itself was really nice and with great facilities and service. The staff were wonderful and very attentive to all our every need. They really do bring out the best traits of the lovely Nepalese people. The location was also excellent, being a very short walk into the bustling Thamel area. The food at the hotel was also extremely nice, and we simply could not recommend this hotel more. In fact it is all so good we are thinking of returning there again in the next year or so !!

Stayed 4 nights in this great location hotel, and staff were courteous and friendly, special mention to front desk Ms Malina. She made my late check-in together with my wife a comfortable experience. Clean room too. Truly deserved the 5 stars rating.

Regrettably, we did not have an opportunity to try Orient restaurant but will try to do it next time.

Our stay at The Malla Hotel was really comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. The Malla was hosting several large weddings during our stay (one of which we were attending) and the decor, food, and organisation for the weddings was fantastic. All the staff were impeccably polite and helpful.

The bathroom was a bit outdated.

I originally came to Hotel Malla just for one night, but tonight marks my fifth night here and I’m still enjoying it. The place is beautiful, calm, and well-maintained. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but you truly get what you pay for. The service, ambiance, and overall experience make it worth it. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in Kathmandu.

Honestly no complains

Great location on the edge of Thamel, and so an easy walk to restaurants, shops, nightlife, and Durbar Square. Charming older luxury hotel with considerable Nepali character. Very kind, helpful and friendly staff. Nice swimming pool and garden area for dinning and relaxing. Very clean and comfortable room.

The hotel could use a refresh; it is showing its age. The breakfast buffet was limited.

The staff, especially Laxmi was very very friendly. Breakfast was good and the best part was that they allowed me to check in early. The only downside was that the window wouldn't close properly so all the noise was inside.

This is one of the five oldest hotels in Kathmandu. Old-style staff that makes you feel at home. Spacious rooms, wonderful garden, large swimming pool and comfortable spa facilities.

A very nice hotel in a great location for visiting Thamel and the sights of Kathmandu. Door staff very helpful when needing a taxi arranging prices in advance.

Very slow check in procedures. On the first night we used the hotel restaurant. We were part of a group of 10 and it took over 2 hours to serve everyone single courses with accompaniments like rice or chapattis arriving half an hour after the rest of the food

Close to thamal , but with a garden and pool . Good service !!
