Our group had a great 2 night stay at Andes House before setting out on our trek. Our host Deepak was extremely kind and helpful from getting a pick-up from the airport, to arranging a ride to Ramechapp for us, giving us tips on our hiking itinerary, and even letting us store some of our stuff at the hotel while we are on our trek. Rooms are basic but comfortable and provided what we expected. The service was amazing and we really appreciated the included breakfast. Amazing value, would definitely recommend Andes House to others staying in Kathmandu before an adventure.

The location of Andes House is perfect for travelling around Thamel before and after trekking. We enjoyed our stay so much before our hike, and decided to come back to stay for the last 5 nights we had before leaving Nepal. The rooms with the updated bathrooms were especially comfortable and the included breakfast and coffee is so appreciated! We loved that this is a family run hotel and Deepak made us feel very welcome during our stay. Amazing value!

The best thing about Andes House is the staff—they are incredibly hospitable and genuinely care about making your stay enjoyable. Babu, in particular, is very helpful and offers great suggestions to enhance your travel plans.

Our first room wasn’t clean and had bed bugs, but our second and third rooms were much better, though they were quite noisy. This is expected, as Andes House is located in Thamel, an area known for its lively nightlife.

On the day of our departure our flight was spontaniously cancelled and the staff helped us to get everything worked out. They drove us to the office of the airline and later to the hotel we were sent to by the airline. Without him and his organisation and translation skills, it would have been hard for us to get all the information and it would not have been possible to be transferred to the next flight. Super nice, thank you very much!

Very peaceful place in a perfect location. You'd imagine it to be noisy from the crowdy streets of thamel but the moment you step inside Andes House you're immediately relaxed and feeling peaceful. The staff are super friendly and helpful with anything you need. I travel with my dog and the staff were so welcoming. Thank you so much! I'll be back.

Perfect location to explore. Babu was so helpful with everything and booked my bus ticket to Pokhara. I only stayed one night but it was exactly as described and photographed. I was in room 301 and the big window view from the bed was nice. I will return to Andes House many more times. If you're getting a taxi from the airport, have the map/directions downloaded to your phone or at least the street address. Once you find it, it's easy peasy to find again. Just follow the broken clay paving stones around the corner. Before venturing out for the afternoon, I sent myself a location from the hotel on WhatsApp.

I went there 11 July 2023 and spend two nights.11-12/07/23. _Owner was very friendly. _Hostels Area,Room,Washroom was neat and clean. _Breakfast was good. _Service quick and quality also impressive. + It's an advice for authority to solve some problem : _Mosquito problem. _Staffs wasn't friendly as much as Owner. _Wifi facility need to improve. _Electrical Facilities (Fan,Light, Charging point)improvement. I was at six bunk bed room, Room size is good but had only two small wall fan, one was working other wasn't. But you should bring two roof center fan.The room size is big enough but window wasn't good for circulation. Otherwise There service was good, keep it up...

It was our home base in KTM. We left our bags and would travel to cities around to come back there and always feel so welcomed! It was a pleasure for us and we were very sad to say goodbye after 2 months! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, breakfast is very good and generous. The location is amazing, right in Thamel but very quiet and the garden is really nice. The staff is very polite and always here to help. Merci beaucoup and most certainly we'll stay with you when we come back to beautiful Nepal 💚🙏

Matresses are a bit too soft for us, but it did not bother us much as we kept coming back. The shower head seemed a bit old but we always enjoyed the hot shower there.

Amazing service by staff, they even helped us out when we were sick and rescheduled our flight to Lukla. The hotel is in the center of Thamel, so its a perfect location. They also have a water filter and options for breakfast and taxi transfer. Highly recommend this place!

I recently stayed at this property and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Overall, I would rate my experience 5/5. Firstly, the location of the hotel was excellent. It was centrally located and easily accessible, making it a great choice for anyone wanting to explore the city. Additionally, the surrounding area was safe and quiet, which made for a peaceful stay. The room itself was very big and spacious, which was a welcome surprise. The bathroom was also quite big, which made getting ready in the morning a breeze. Overall, the accommodations were comfortable and had everything I needed for a great stay. In terms of breakfast, the hotel provided toast with butter or jam, as well as an egg omelet. While the options were somewhat limited, the food was fresh and tasty, which is all that really matters. Plus, it was a great way to start the day! Finally, I have to give a shoutout to the host. They were incredibly helpful in guiding me towards the best places to visit in the area. Not only that, but they were also very friendly and welcoming. Their hospitality really made my stay that much better. All in all, I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
