Rabin the owner went out of his way to help me out. Get me a quiet room. Give me advice on trekking options. Sort out my transfer to the bus. Etc. he was always on hand for advice and help if needed. His staff also were very helpful and polite. Came in to advice me how to work the television. Got plumbers in almost instantly to fix a sink problem. For the price excellent value. Room was clean, large and spacious, comfortable bed and good view from the window. Also centrally located on Thamel yet tucked down a quiet street for peace. A well run good value for money hotel. We had such a wonderful stay at Devo Boutique Hotel in Kathmandu! Special thank you to Mr. Rabin, who is excellent in coordination. He’s very attentive to guests’ needs and is even willing to assist in arranging your tours to make your trip hassle-free. We also appreciate Mr. Sujit in the restaurant, who makes amazing coffee and goes out of his way to assist you so you can have the perfect breakfast. Aside from the hotel being spotlessly clean, it’s also great value for money. The area is safe, and the surroundings are walkable as you’ll never go wrong staying in the Thamel area. We were also surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, such a wonderful gesture! Thank you, Devo Boutique Hotel, for making our Kathmandu trip truly memorable.

The Devo Boutique Hotel is a true gem in the heart of Kathmandu. Our two-night stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect. We were given a very clean, spacious room upon check-in. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, with many options to choose from. A nice touch is the barista making excellent coffee, which is a refreshing change from the instant coffee served at many other hotels. The hotel’s location, on a quiet street, is perfect for exploring the Thamel district. The key element that makes Devo Boutique Hotel exceptional is its staff. They truly care about their guests. We especially want to mention Ms. Salina, who works at the front desk. She is a polite young lady with a great personality. She always has a kind word and helped us with our many questions about Nepal. We had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Rabin Dhaka, the hotel manager. Rabin is a people person who runs a professional hotel. We look forward to staying at Devo Boutique Hotel during our next trip to Kathmandu.

Everything! Rabin, the manager is super-friendly and helpful. He arranged our complimentary pickup from the airport and subsequently a driver, Pradip, to drive us the 6 1/2 hours to Besisahar. Pradip was great. All the staff are ever so nice and make wonderful cappuccinos. Breakfast was outstanding, with differing selections on the 3 mornings we stayed here so we didn'tget bored. Maybe the best aspect is that the hotel is located on a short, one-way street on the north end of Thamel so it's quiet. There are many good (e.g. Western Tandoori & Naan house) and some bad (e.g., Khohang - taste of Thekali) nearby.

I found the comforter too warm so I had to switch on the A/C set to 18 C in order to sleep well.

I had a brief trip to Nepal, spending a few days in Kathmandu, and was concerned about finding a suitable place on short notice. I’m glad I chose Devo Boutique Hotel for my stay. The staff were incredibly helpful, even arranging transport from the airport to the hotel. Shortly after booking, a staff member reached out to offer assistance with travel and any other needs. The hotel is in a prime location with easy access to all the necessary amenities. The staff were always available and provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and nearby attractions. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. Overall, I was very impressed with the customer service and the quality of the rooms and amenities. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kathmandu.

I recently stayed at Devo Boutique Hotel in the heart of Thamel, Kathmandu, and it was an exceptional experience. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, well-equipped with all the necessary features to make the stay enjoyable and relaxing. What truly made this stay exceptional was the unmatched hospitality of the staff. Ishan, Robin, and the entire hotel team went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. Whether it was staying in regular contact when we faced travel challenges or ensuring our comfort upon arrival, their attentiveness was unlike anything I’ve experienced before. The level of care and dedication shown here is second to none. Overall, Devo Boutique Hotel offers everything you could want—great location, delicious food, cozy rooms, and an amazing team. We were always able to sit at our preferred table. Food variety at breakfast can improve slightly and porridge (non fired food) should be offered more often/daily. Coffee was always as we liked. The barista was knowledgeable and very polite. We felt secure due to the the security presence 24 hours and the compound closure at 22:00. The professional security guard was there to let us in with a smile after hours. The room cleaning services was always looking professional and well presented. We were always greeted and asked about our preferences and needs in terms of drinking water, loo roll, cleaning etc.

Investment in purchase of good hoovers would be beneficial so dust will not fly off the carpets after cleaning. The shower rooms may require squeegee to remove excess water after showering. The roof top could be converted into roof top cafe / bar with soft lighting for the customer enjoyment. Thin quilts should be offered / available during warm seasons. Suggestions: improve the hotel signage so it is consistent with the current name. Please update hotel guide so it features tourists attractions and recommends good places to eat locally such as traditional Nepali food.

Simple hotel with very good location. In Thamel but close to the main road so easier to get a car. Shops and restaurants nearby. Room has a good size and the bed was comfortable. They cleaned every day and provided fresh towels. Also they provide toiletries however there is no conditioner. Breakfast is rather simple, eggs and sausage, some veggies also toast and other pastries. The coffee is freshly made and it is actually really good. Staff is extremely friendly and polite. They speak very good English and they able to accommodate your needs while staying there (airport shuttle, day excursions, or just tips for shopping etc) Hotel has an elevator that is a plus.

Room is quite old (definitely much older than in the pictures) so the walls are kind of dirty at some places. Otherwise no issues with the room.

Such a great place to stay in Kathmandu! We stayed for almost a week and loved it. The breakfast was delicious and changed every day (I had a cappuccino every morning, loved that!) and the location is perfect: close to everything and close to good restaurants but on a very quiet and peaceful street. The room and bed was very comfortable, and we also appreciated that there was good amount of space in the bathroom to put stuff. The hotel manager was very welcoming and attentive and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. The wifi is decent (mostly good enough for video calls too) and definitely the best we had in Nepal. They offer airport tranfer too which is very convenient. Everything was great and we will stay here again when we return to Kathmandu. 😊

I loved staying at this property. Tucked away on a quiet side street and insulated from the commotion of Thamel, this hotel was a breath of fresh air during my stay in Kathmandu. The room was spacious and kept immaculately clean throughout the entirety of my visit. It was very peaceful and quiet in the evenings and I got excellent rest every night. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming, and made me feel right at home the whole time. The breakfast buffet was very tasty and had a variety of foods to choose from. A great shower, consistently fast and reliable WiFi, and clean bed linens and towels made for an extremely comfortable stay. I look forward to staying here next time I come to Kathmandu. 10/10
