We loved the location, the hotel facilities, the courtyard bar and restaurant areas, as well as the decor, comfy bed, and afternoon tea on the little roof terrace. The hotel is beautifully presented and the room was a great place to relax. The breakfast was an excellent selection of things and the customer service was great. The best hotel we have stayed at in Thamel in terms of the daytime experience.

Sadly the windows do not fit brilliantly and are only single glazed - given this is a historic property this is not a surprise but it meant there was little in the way of sound insulation. We had requested that we be given a quiet room - given the hotel is in Thamel and the comments about noise in other reviews, we expected a lot going on outside. But sadly it was worse than we anticipated. The first night was New Year's Eve which was always going to be loud, but on our second evening, our sleep was still disturbed by traffic noise and people out and about outside. It's such a shame as we loved everything else about this hotel but because of the disturbed sleep we won't be returning.

This was my second time staying at this establishment (Nepali Ghar), but first time staying in the Seto Ghar wing. The experience was just as good. Rooms are clean, beautifully decorated, modern bathrooms, and have luxurious bedding. The restaurant serves good, clean food, and is in a beautiful and serene setting. The breakfast buffet was great and my kids loved it! We also loved the daily complimentary tea and biscuits at the roof top lounge. Overall an excellent hotel and would highly recommend!

Loved our stay here. We booked 3 nights but ended up extending to 5. Really lovely room and bathroom, the bed was so comfortable it was difficult to get up in the morning. We enjoyed the breakfast and having a drink in the evening at the courtyard bar. There was daily complimentary yoga every morning and a basic but perfectly functional gym. This place was a real treat after several weeks of trekking.

Slight smell from the drains in the bathroom. Nothing awful though.

Great hospitality after a 2am flight arrival, transfer was well organised. Comfortable spacious rooms. The gym was a personal highlight, one of the best. The outdoor restaurant was an amazing pre - or post hiking trek near the koi pond. Great breakfast. Allow luggage to be left during treks. I miss it already!

Nothing really. Only suggestion, I felt the buffet breakfast rotated too much. I enjoyed the Nepalese dishes a lot on our first morning, paratha with chick pea curry.

This place is absolutely stunning!!! All staff are so helpful and professional, even security at the front who are so welcoming. The food here is delicious, and the breakfast had a great variety. The room i was in was immaculately clean and also the bed was so comfy. I honestly struggled to leave and walk outside of this hotel. Thank you Seto Ghar for such a comfortable and lovely stay!

There’s a reason I keep coming back to this hotel… I absolutely love it! My rooms are always beautiful and immaculately clean and I love all the included facilities like the garden bar area and gym… there’s even free yoga in the mornings if you’re up early enough! The staff are lovely and so welcoming; making me feel like I’m returning home each time. Thanks so much; I can’t wait to get back yet again 😊 Ps - make sure you try the restaurant… so many great dishes with my favourite being the salmon!

My room felt very cozy and comfortable and quiet. The staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. The gym was a nice little surprise and the dinner was very yummy. Dahl bat and chicken satay!

Breakfast wasn’t exceptional and I wasn’t able to figure out the television so, better tips with the TV would've been helpful.

Beautiful and nicely decorated hotel which was very clean. Everything felt quite new, crisp and well maintained. My room had great natural light (more than the photos show!) and was spacious. Excellent location, quiet and helpful staff. Wish I could have stayed longer!

The hotel is just excellent. The rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated. Food and drinks are great, so is the restaurant's patio. The stuff are so kind, helpful and well mannered. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations and would definitely recommend it!
