The location was fantastic. Right in the middle of Thamel, all the fun and buzz of restaurants, bars and shops and easy 10 minute walk to explore the old town area markets and temples. Thamel House is a great building and an oasis from the busy streets. My room was beautiful and spacious (room 18)! The windows faced the street so great to feel a part of the atmosphere. I arrived on a Friday night so the sound of music and people having fun went into the night but didn’t bother me

The only negative thing about my room was that there were some issues with the toilet not flushing but the staff were very attentive to the problem

Location for end of our stay in Nepal was great for shopping in Thamel for gifts. The hotel was clean and comfy with helpful and pleasant staff. Dinner in the adjacent restaurant had traditional dancing performances each night. Rooms were well presented and spacious with some welcome fruit and snacks. Decor is traditional Newari feel with lots of wood which we loved.

Placemats in the restaurant could do with a good wash.

Wonderful experience staying here before and after our Everest Base Camp trek. In the heart of the tourist area close to many shops and facilities. Terrific hotel with outstanding staff friendly and willing to take care of every need. Peaceful clean and comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

Being in the heart of a tourist area depending upon what you like evenings were sometimes a little loud.

The property was such an amazing place. It was in the middle of the historic Thamel area, so everything was within walking distance. The architecture of the property was absolutely stunning, as well as in the rooms. The bathroom was extremely large. I felt so comfortable.

The restaurant at the property was amazing, but the complementary breakfast was not the best.

Hotel was lovely and quiet. It was so clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful! Thamel is a crazy place full of noise, smells and people, but this hotel manages to block it all out. The AC in the bedrooms was a life saver during the hot nights. They gave use free bottled water everyday. The location is perfect and really close to nice restaurants. It really is a gem of a place!

The bacon. OJ and coffee at breakfast weren't the best. However the pancakes and eggs were delicious!

The owner is on top of everything and available to help with anything. An incredibly warm host, that has made all efforts to tastefully design his hotel in the heart of KTM. Staff were great. Would highly recommend a nice balcony room.

It provides true Newari hospitality in a central location bustling with Kathmandu life. From Thamel Marg you can walk everywhere, exploring the busy narrow streets, or retreat to the quiet comfort of the courtyard or your large room.

Absolutely nothing!

Breakfast was great. The best part about Thamel House is the location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here. I regret not booking a room overlooking the courtyard.

The view from the room wasn't all that great.

Located at the heart of Thamel with easy access to the bustling life on Thamel's streets. The hotel is a pleasant mix of old & new architecture with an open courtyard to dine in. Rooms were spacious and clean. Traditional food menu was a nice touch.

The breakfast buffet could have had a better spread. The water in the bathroom was only luke warm during our stay.

Breakfast quite basic, if you have any dietary needs definitely let them know. In central Thamel means some noise, fine for us but worth noting for light sleepers.
