Perfectly located. Thamel is just 5min away by walk. Very quiet street. Sound insolation is good can't hear other rooms. Very large and comfy bed. AC and heater included. Hot water accessible 24h a day. The staff and manager are very professional, polite and always ready to help.

The food is ok but could be improved

Personally recommend this place to everyone.We were there for a night and everything was really awesome.It is home away from home. Staff is really co operative and very well behaved. Mr.Raj kumar Bhandari was very genuine and co operative.

Hotel Mums Home has a great location, super clean and comfortable and most importantly great staff and service.

Unfortunately there was some building work that was happening close to our room (we just got really unlucky for the few days we were there) therefore had to move as it was a bit noisy for us light sleepers, but the owner was so understanding and gracious and even helped us to secure another place, this sort of service is very hard to come by and I would absolutely have no hesitation in recommending this place. You will be well looked after, a home away from home!

This was my second stay at mums home and it has got even better. The hotel has lovely decor and hanging plants in a nice outdoor seating area off the street where you can relax. The rooms are large and spacious and well appointed with kettle and tea. Excellent shower with hot water and great water pressure. The hotel is quiet off the main street but well located close to many restaurants in the Thamel area and sights. The included breakfast was also good. Most of all the staff are exceptionally friendly and kind and nothing is too much trouble for them. For overall great value, location and a home away from home you cannot beat it.

Hotel Mums Home is absolutely SUPERIOR in every way. This was our second visit here.  This hotel meets, and exceeds even the most demanding expectations. The location couldn't be better, in the heart of Thamel, yet in a quiet street. The hotel is sterile clean. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and have exceptionally comfortable beds with nice soft pillows and genuine comforters. The bathrooms are modern and classy with a backlit makup mirror, and a nice shower with abundant hot water flow. The great hotel personnel, led by helpful and effective Raj, is equally amazing. Not only were they helpful, polite, pleasant and kind, they went way beyond that. They placed phone calls for us in Nepalese, they even went to the tourist bus station to retrieve an item we left there. This was our best hotel experience ever. BRAVO and thank you!!

I've visited so many countries and hundreds of hotels, but the staff here is one of the best! The receptionists helped me with everything I needed, served me nice food, and managed to do me an express laundry. The hotel is in a perfect quiet place, surrounded by cozy restaurants and little streets. It is better to have a bike than a car to navigate these streets quickly.

This is my third time Nepal and I’ve stayed in many different hotels. This one was simply the best I’ve stayed in. The price/quality is amazing - the rooms are beautiful and spacious and clean; the location is quiet and great; and most of all, the staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating! They are ready to help with whatever you need and it felt very safe and homely (also as a solo female traveler). The included breakfast was great. Will definitely stay here again and again on my next visits!

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. The location was peaceful yet conveniently close to all the attractions. The room was clean, and the air conditioning, fridge, and hot water worked perfectly. However, the highlight of my stay was the exceptional service. The entire staff, especially Srijana and Sabin, were incredibly friendly, gracious, and attentive. They always greeted me warmly and assured me that they were available to assist with anything I needed. They even arranged for a cab to take me to the airport. I highly recommend this place!

Their welcoming attitude . Professional and extremely helpful . Spacious room and very comfortable and relaxed . Every person from the staff to reception and Mr Jeevan took great care of our stay . They also arranged the cab for us to drop us to airport on their behalf . And what is most impressive is the humility to present us with a Nepali scarf as guests on our departure from Kathmandu .

Actually everything is good there is nothing as such that we didn’t like . May be food can be improved a little .

The staff and the manager were helpful and firendly. They let us have our breakfast late by 12 pm because we had yoga class in the morning. They waited for us to come back and serve us our breakfast. No 5star hotel ever did that for me

The only annoying part was the shower. It was taking 2 min to have hot water and the also the room was on the 3rd floor so not convenient if you have to go in and out several times.
