Surendra and Ayush are great team. They and their entire batch goes beyond their limit to make your stay flawless. They took extra milage to make our stay relaxed and peaceful on our ongoing journey to Pokhara and Nagarkot. The room was clean as promises in the booking. They offer a reasonably good breakfast for guests. Super caring staff. If you book you would not regret!

Hmmm not much that I didn't like. the hotel is located at a location where you would not find traffic or noise. Great restaurants around the hotel. Even if they do not have facilities for lunch and dinner, but there are other places just around the corner.

The room on the fifth floor is a treat. The huge balcony (photo uploaded), the view, the cleanliness... everything about it is worth appreciating. The staff is even better. A special shout out to Aayush. A gem of a person. Although in a small lane, the location is also a big plus. Walk a few metres and you are in the best part of Thamel - which is the best hangout place of Kathmandu. This area has so many great dens, that I used to travel every evening to Thamel from another part of the city where I was put up for the rest of my stay. Highly recommend going to Graveaty restaurant, which is right opposite this hotel. Tonnes of good restaurants and cafes around this place, including LOD (recommend). The breakfast at the hotel is also nice. I enjoyed it over a chat with Aayush as we watched an IPL (cricket) match highlights.

It wasn't a problem for me at all, but highlighting this only so that ones reading this review will know. The hotel doesn't have a lift. The staff helped move my luggage, and I don't mind climbing stairs.

The location is perfect close to all amenities that you need before setting out on a trek. Within few minutes walk you can exchange money, find shops and restaurants in Thamel. The street is very quiet and you can sleep well here. The room is big with a clean bathroom, very luxurious in Kathmandu. The staff is super helpful , they helped me booking the flight to Lukla and when it was cancelled on the day , they proactively organised my ticket onto a helicopter. I can highly recommend Maya Boutique Hotel for comfort, a good night sleep and for exceptional service.

There is nothing to mention which is negative.

The guys at the reception were really warm and welcoming. Going above and beyond to make sure my stay was pleasant. I had a flight early morning and they’ve made me a small breakfast to bring to the airport. Aayush helpend me out with my phone and getting a taxi. My room was on the first floor and perfect for the night before catching my flight. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for great hospitality and being in the middle of the center without having the noise! Thanks guys!! 🙏🏼

I really enjoyed my stay at Maya. The room was spacious, and the location is excellent. Although the hotel is right in the city center, it’s tucked away on a quiet side street, so it’s peaceful at night—much better than another hotel I stayed at in Thamel. The staff is 10/10. Aayush was especially helpful—he made sure I woke up for my early flight and even packed a lunch for me to take. The only thing I’d suggest improving is the bathroom, which could use a bit of a refresh. Other than that, everything was perfect—10/10.

The place is immaculate, the comfiest beds, the kindest and most helpful staff. Front of house is Aayush and he couldn’t do enough, so polite and helpful. Another great thing, the boss is called Surendra.. He is the best tour guide, you tell him what you’re interested in doing and takes care of everything, caters it to you, gives you a complete itinerary, including of transfers and meals and great rates on other accommodation in other cities… completely reasonable price for package deals, no sense that he is trying to make fast money, he wants you to enjoy your time so you keep coming back because you’ll love his plans. Linked us up with the best knowledgeable tour guide in Pokhara called Bharat Adhikari. This bloke has decades of knowledge on all hikes, wildlife, plants, history and everything Nepal, such a great guy and really takes care of you. Thanks to everyone.

I highly recommend staying here! Super convenient close to everything. The staff was so helpful, he was on point my questions I had he was able to provide me with excellent feedbacks and suggestions. Made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I had requested a pickup/ drop off service at the airport the driver was phenomenal great service. I also requested a taxi for the day. Front desk took care of all my needs and wants. The room was super comfortable and cozy they provided towels, slippers, soaps, water bottles in the room ac worked well etc…. Breakfast was Delicious as well. 10/10

I have nothing negative to say.

Absolutely everything about the hotel. Right from the time I checked in, Rabin was very helpful. Always quick to respond to requests. Room was excellent and clean, bathroom and toiletries excellent as well. Water bottles replenished everyday. Lovely breakfast every morning. Coffee anytime on request. The owner Mr Surendra called me in advance to advice me how to plan my trip and arranged for a pickup at night when I landed. After reaching he made a plan for the remainder of my stay and booked all the bus / flight / hotels and packages until my return. You won't find a friendlier, more helpful person than Surendra. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and it is in the Happening place of Thamel. You get everything you need within a 10 minute walk. Great place 👍👍👍

Nothing to dislike

The staff provide excellent service, especially Aayush who went out of his way to make sure you stay was good. He was exceptionally helpful. The rooms are clean. The Wi-Fi is generally quite good especially for Nepal. Breakfast is really good. You’re close to most too many restaurants. The beds are comfortable. Overall this is a good place to stay. I highly recommend it.

This was an exceptional find. In fact we stayed twice on our Nepal trip. It is well located on a quiet street but close to the action. The road are modern clean and comfortable. The beds soft, good linens and sheets. The breakfast is nice. The wifi is reliable. The standout to this hotel is the staff. Particularly Aayush. He so clearly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. He helped with our taxi bookings and laundry and they stored a bag for us as we traveled around between our two bookings. When we returned for our second booking pirn daughter said, feels like coming home. Aayush played a big role in that. The room value was also exceptional. We stayed in many Nepali hotels and this qa scleary the best blend of cost, quality, and staff.

In the two rooms we had, both showers could have used some extra bleach in the grout.
