The best hotel we stayed at in Nepal! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was absolutely perfect. The guy at the reception was the kindest person ever – so helpful, patient, always smiling, and truly went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed, from local tips to organizing our plans. Our room was clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, and had such a peaceful vibe. Breakfasts were a real treat – generous, delicious, fresh, and made with love. The entire staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere made us feel at home – only with better views and perfect cleanliness :) If you’re looking for a peaceful, welcoming place with amazing people and great energy – this is the one! Highly recommended with all my heart ❤

Location was excellent, right in Thamel but in a quiet alley. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. The room was of a good size and the bed (extra big) was really really comfy. A 10/10

The location is perfect in Thamel area. Very safe and highly walkable within the tourist and dining spots. The room is big. Shower water pressure is good. There is electric kettle and fridge in the room which is a big plus for me. There is an elevator available too. Breakfast is good especially the Nepalese yoghurt with grains. But the most valuable asset of the hotel are their staff. Special shoutout to Ashish Aryal. The best host to have. He is so genuine, super helpful and kind. He exemplified true Nepalese hospitality. Such a wonderful person. Great guy. I am definitely recommending Vastu Boutique hotel to everyone who visit Kathmandu. Five-star rating!!

Super comfortable, pretty and clean hotel! The beds were a real pleasure after 2 weeks of trekking. Very well isolated, no noise from outside or neighboring rooms was Heard- once the windows were closed. For breakfast, not so many options were available but the ones they had were tasty and fresh!

The rooftop could have been a great place to hang out but the furniture was in a terrible state. The personnel was friendly and welcoming, nevertheless some basic rules should be revised such as leaving coffee cups in the area reserved for hotel guests. A little more professionalism in this aspect and the hotel would be perfect!

I don't know where to begin with what I liked about Vastu Boutique hotel (aka Ashish' Palace 😁) because it completely exceeded my expectations and I loved it all. Hands down the best hotel/accommodation I've experienced in Asia, let alone Nepal. Friendly staff, helpful travel tips, so clean, so cosy (we found it so hard to leave and stayed 6 nights more than we intended!), genuine service, immaculate housekeeping, delicious and generous meals each morning, fresh bottled water, tea, coffee, kettle.... I could go on! Everything was perfect. And the photos you see on here are what you get🩷100% recommend this hotel to those seeking a sanctuary amidst the colourful hustle bustle of Thamel. Absolutely wonderful stay! This hotel was everything I hoped for and more. It’s a peaceful, quiet place—perfect for relaxing and getting a good night’s sleep. The rooms were very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, with everything I needed to feel right at home. The breakfast each morning was a great start to the day—tasty, fresh, and with a good variety of options. But what truly made my experience stand out was the staff. Every person I interacted with was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their warm hospitality made all the difference. Overall, the hotel was exactly as good as it should be—maybe even better. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a calm, comfortable, and friendly place to stay.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The rooms were super clean, modern, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect — right next to a great restaurant and within walking distance to local markets and major tourist spots. The free breakfast each morning was such a bonus (and genuinely delicious!), and the staff were nothing short of exceptional. They went above and beyond to help us plan our trip and made everything so easy. We enjoyed it so much, we’ve already booked to stay again. Highly recommend!

The Vastu is perfecty situated and was a great hotel for me to start my Nepal adventure. The helpful and correct guys at the reception are responsive to your concerns and advise you on your plans (trekking, sightseeing and more) without trying to impose or sell you anything. Thanks guys! The rooms are clean and the facilities are in good working order. If you are sensitive to noise, make sure you don't have a room on the 1st floor because you will hear the busy reception there ;-)

Everything was fine. Only the price was at the upper limit. But I learned that rents in Kathmandu are more expensive as you might think.

My wife and I stayed at Vastu Boutique for a total of 8 nights but we had originally only intended to stay 2. We had to wait for a visa for our next country and it was taking a while but luckily everyone from management to the front desk staff were extremely accommodating and helpful in letting us extend our stay each day until we got our visa! The front desk staff is ridiculously friendly, helpful, attentive with everything from local recommendations to anything we needed for the room and they were really prompt about everything! The hotel itself is really well maintained, nice, modern, clean, and comfortable. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms and it was so cozy, well lit, and comfortable that we felt like we were at home the whole time. A big plus is the TV worked well and had loads of sports channels to watch the EuroCup and the cricket World Cup in HD! Another BIG plus is the breakfast… it goes until 11 and is freshly made to order from 4 or 5 different options and the chef does a fantastic job! They also have a very nice restaurant (GravEATy) across the street so if you want something other than the breakfast options, you can go off their menu and it’s brought to the hotel for you. Same goes for lunch and dinner. Honestly, we couldn’t be any happier with the hotel, the staff, the management, and everything Vastu Boutique Hotel has to offer - do yourself a favor and book it for your stay in Kathmandu!

It was truly a 10 in my opinion. I decided to upgrade my budget after staying in more modest guesthouses, and everything here was to my liking. very clean great bedsheets hot shower with good pressure clean bathroom good location For breakfast, they have several options. I was content with my French Toast, Mixed Fruits, Eggs, and Tea. It was a lot more generous than most breakfasts offered with a hotel stay. Special thanks to the receptionist Birendra, who greeted me with a genuine smile. He is professional and helpful. The payment process went smoothly, and they even rounded in my favor, which I found to be a noble gesture.
