The hotel is very small only 18 rooms, we had one of two suites which was a larger room in the top floor. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The location of the hotel is outstanding, right near Thamel but in a very quiet little pocket which meant a restful sleep. We also enjoyed the balcony area outside reception where we could sit and enjoy a drink and / or food and watch the world go by. The staff are amazing and very attentive. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked. This is a lovely boutique hotel that we would come back to in a heartbeat if we returned to Kathmandu.

Wonderful stay at Kumari Boutique hotel in Thamel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I traveled solo and they were always keen to help me with taxis and answer any questions. This hotel doesn't have the frills of a western hotel chain but it's comfortable, clean, safe, and a good location if you want to be in Thamel. Bed was super comfortable...imo! Room cost is very affordable so you can save your money for excursions, shopping etc.! Hotel also offers airport pickup for $10. Much more expensive than a taxi but if it's your first time to Kathmandu and you don't want any hassle haggling for a taxi out front or stopping at the ore-paid taxi stand it's a nice piece of mind. Drawbacks were that the included breakfast doesn't offer much choice and during my stay the pastries seemed stale. Coffee is only instant but on the plus side, you can order from a full cafe next door for a discount and the Kumari staff will bring your cappuccino, Americano whatever to your table on the super cute patio.

Kumari Hotel was comfortable and quiet for my stay. It looks lovely and traditional and the rooms were comfortable and very quiet. The location is also great. Away from the noise of Kathmandu but just minutes from the centre. I had some personal issues when I was there and I needed to make some emergency phone calls in the middle of the night. The staff were so good at helping me and the next morning they were so reassuring and nice to me when I was emotional and upset. I will never forget their kindness. Thank you to all the wonderful reception staff for helping me and trying to make me feel better when I was dealing with some stressful.issues when I was far from home and feeling scared. It's a lovely hotel with beautiful staff. I recommend to other travellers!

I would to really say MINGMA TAMANG was the best part of my stay . She assisted me even with my to do on my 1 day stay in Nepal and schedule itineraries. I had the most wonderful stay, and I genuinely want to thank the entire team for making it such a warm, comfortable, and memorable experience. A special shout out to three receptionists 2 ladies during the afternoon and one gentleman during the night —your kindness, professionalism, and welcoming smile made me feel at home .I Everything I requested was accommodated Every interaction with the staff was filled with care and genuine hospitality. The attention to detail, the prompt responses, and the friendly atmosphere made my stay not just good, but truly awesome. Thank you for going above and beyond. The hotel is located in a quiet side street not far from Thamel's busy streets where you can find lots of eateries and shops. In the morning you can enjoy a rich and varied breakfast buffet and for lunch and dinner you can choose a la carte dishes. The room was spacious, clean and very comfy. The manager and concierge helped me organise a driver and car for sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley, they booked a bus ticket to Pokhara and gave me lots of information and recommendations for my stay in Nepal. Pick-up and drop off at the airport (extra charge) was arranged as well. I stayed again at the hotel on my way back home. I really loved this place, I felt really welcome and it felt like home far away from home.

The staff at this hotel are amazing. The ladies on the front desk are warm, friendly and caring, the restaurant staff are lovely and the manager was very helpful in organising tour and transport arrangements for us. Together they made us feel very welcome and took good care of us. Our room was spacious and clean, good shower and the bed very comfortable. Location is great with easy access to the Thamel tourist area. Excellent hotel, well deserving of the good reviews they attract. Thanks to the Kumari team for a great stay.

Lovely big room with lovely big and comfortable bed. Armchair , table, TV and all modern conveniences. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Any request I made was seen to immediately. Good location but situated in a quiet street near the shops of Thamel so I slept extremely well . The food was great. Lots of choice at breakfast and also on the dinner menu. Food was cooked when ordered and was tasty and well prepared. As a result I ate in the hotel restaurant every evening. I was a single lady traveling alone but felt safe and looked after. The price of the hotel and airport transfers were extremely reasonably priced. Excellent value for money and better service than I had received in a 5 star hotel in Kathmandu 18 months previously

The hotel is very clean and safe, with extremely friendly staff. The staff at the reception, in particular, stands out for its kindness and for the support they provide you with. The hotel is located in Thamel, nearby nice shops and restaurants (the excellent Tibetan restaurant Utse is just 3 minutes walking from the hotel). Durbar Square is also not far away, just 15 minutes by walking. Despite its central location, the hotel is also located in a quiet street, far from the traffic noise. At breakfast you have a good assortment of food (I appreciated a lot the presence of veggies). The hotel room has a safe box (I consider it a plus, although Nepal is a very safe country). I found the bathroom cute, the shower door has an elegant modern design .
