Dinesh sir and his parents were very welcoming! First of all, we were fan of their daal bhaat tarkari. We arrived very late than we expected and were very hungry. Honestly, that daal bhat was one of the best I ever had! Especially daal was very tasty. The room we had booked was the topmost one and was great! The view is nicee to enjoy at anytime of the day and night. Best to have breakfast enjoying the view, lunch enjoying the sunset, and also to enjoy the night life of Lakeside! Bathroom looks decent! Hallan Chowk is in a walkable distance!

I have no issues with the hotel! If you are trying to find a room with necessary basic items, lovely food, and a lakeside view from the upper rooms, this is the right spot! If one wants like a 5 star hotel settings, maybe not. 😃😉

We stayed at Hotel Golden Lake, Pokhara from We were fortunate to stay on the top floor, offering the most stunning view of Lake Phewa — truly a sight to wake up to! The hotel also offers ample parking space, which was a big plus for us. Though the property does not have a lift, the warm and courteous staff went out of their way to help us with our heavy luggage, making us feel completely taken care of. A special mention to the manager, whose incredibly helpful nature stood out — he even assisted us beyond his duty with an issue we faced related to our prepaid SIM card recharge. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, thanks to efficient coordination through Booking.com. The hotel offers reliable amenities like 24-hour hot water and laundry services, making the stay convenient and comfortable. Located in one of the best streets in Pokhara, the hotel is surrounded by vibrant cafés, restaurants, live music venues, souvenir shops, and an energetic nightlife scene — truly a prime location for travelers. What we appreciated the most was the transparency and honesty in all interactions. Every query regarding our ongoing travel plans was addressed with genuine guidance and honesty. In summary: If you’re considering this property, don’t think twice — just book it. The comfort, service, location, and hospitality make it absolutely worth every penny.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive. The check-in process was smooth and quick, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well-maintained everything was. My room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities I needed – including fast Wi-Fi, a great view, etc. The housekeeping team did an excellent job of keeping everything spotless throughout my stay. One of the standout features was the close location to the Phewa Lake and lakeside. It made my trip even more enjoyable and convenient. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone visiting Pokhara. It’s a great value for the quality and service provided.

Staying at Golden Lake Hotel was an absolute delight. The warmth and care we received throughout our stay made it a truly memorable experience. What really stood out was the kindness of the staff — when we went on our trek, they kept our belongings safe and secure without us even having to worry. The property is located at North Lakeside in Pokhara and offers stunning view of the Phewa Lake and also you can see Pumdikot Mahadev temple and Peace Pagoda upon the hills on the other side of the lake. Boating spot and Annapurna cable car ropeway station is also nearby. You can access the lakeside easily as it is in walking distance. Local taxis are also available throughout the city. The hotel room is cosy and clean, bathroom was also clean and hot shower was available, wifi is strong and available throughout the premises, food is tasty and reasonably priced, service is good. The behaviour of the management and staff will make your stay more enjoyable. Dinesh ji is so friendly and helpful, he helped us with our permit for Lower Mustang and Muktinath and also arranged car for our Mustang trip and also for Dhampus. Hotel Golden Lake is definitely recommended, you will enjoy your peaceful stay in Pokhara. I shall definitely visit again! 🙂

The staff was exceptional. Saved me lot of time and money with getting permits for conservation area in mustang, bus tickets etc. Not all pushy. I left my luggage to go to Mustang and they had my room ready for my return. Good central location. Everything you need - buses, excursion shops, restaurants, lake everything is a few minutes away. When I returned, the price had gone up on booking.com but the owner offered to room at the original lower price for the extra days I stayed.

This is not the owners fault. There are lots of stray dogs outside on the street. During they day they are quite but at night, there is lot of barking.

Check in was smooth. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cozy, neat and clean. Bathroom was neat. Though early morning we didnt get the desired hot water for bath.( Probably during the day it could have been better) Food served was hot and tasty. We rented the trekking equipment from them as they have their shop too. It was good quality and reasonably priced. What is worth mentioning is how warm they were when we went back to return our trekking equipment. We had almost 5 hours in Pokhara before our journey to Kathmandu. Rooms were not available that day but Dinesh was gracious enough to let us use their facilities to freshen up and truly made us feel very comfortable. The location is opposite to Phewa Lake and area is very buzzing, having many eateries around which one can explore. Definite recommend.

I stayed 4 nights there and I really enjoyed the accommodation. The family who runs the hotel is genuinely friendly and always smiling. Cleanliness was very very good for the Nepalese standards and my light germophobia, although a more detailed cleaning could improve it to excellence, but nothing to complain about. There was music coming from the bar 100 metres away until 23.00 o'clock and only when they had live music, but I wasn't disturbed because I was there almost every night and if not it was pretty much OK... Well I have to say that there are way worse parts of the area in terms of noise. I didn't have food there so I can't comment on this but prices and variety on the menu were reasonable. The location was on the far end of the lakeside which I found to be more quiet than other parts of the lakeside. The lake coast is within 2 minutes walking distance (less if you pass through restaurants to reach). Bars restaurants and tourist shops are available just down the road within 30 seconds of walking. Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. The bathroom was modern and clean without any bad smells. Bed sheets and towels were smelling nice and fresh along with my clothes after the laundry service I used. The lake view from the second floor was partly distracted by buildings but was visible. One floor up was much better, so if you plan to enjoy the full view of the lake while sitting at the balcony (I didn't , I used the room only for night sleeping and resting in the midday) ask for a high floor. Hot water is available 24 hours but needed to wait a few seconds in order to start running. The main receptionist (son of the family) was a professional and willing to help anytime I needed with a very good level of English.

There is only one thing that I didn't like but didn't affect my stay at all. The electrical sockets were very loose using EU plugs and couldn't charge my devices if I moved the cables, It needed to be in a very specific position in order to start charging (at least in my room).. I anyway use a power bank to avoid any damage to my devices cause of electrical instability all over Nepal. Soundproofing was OK(ish)

Great location near the lake with views from the deck. It was lovely sitting there having breakfast or drinking tea. The people running the hotel are so kind and friendly. The food and drinks are good. It’s exceptional value. The wifi worked consistently except for a few brief breaks every now and then. We stayed in a hotel 4x more expensive for 1 nights and Golden Lake was better. The rooms are very clean, a reasonable size, soap, towels, toilet paper provided. One or two nights there was noisy music but it stopped quite early and ear plugs helped. I was actually sick while there so spent most of my time inside the room resting and reading. It was a restful and pleasant place to recover.
