The garden was lovely to sit in each morning for breakfast - little lawns, flowers with several small tables to choose (and indoor area if raining). The family were so welcoming - all 3 generations, plus Lucy the dog. Always greeted with a smile. I stayed for a month and felt so safe both inside and outside the grounds/local area. It’s just a 2-3 minute walk off the Main Street and the lake. Plus nearby parks, shops, restaurants. Breakfast set me well each day. Delicious, fresh food. All the areas were clean and tidy. Different nationalities of guests to chat to. The owner includes being fluent in English and Japanese.

Apart from the location, which is a bit far from the main center by foot (about 20–30 minutes), New Annapurna Guesthouse is honestly one of the best places I’ve stayed at during my travels. For a very affordable price, I got a clean, cozy room, a generous and delicious breakfast, and a truly welcoming atmosphere. The guesthouse has a beautiful, peaceful garden and very well-maintained facilities that make it feel like a little oasis. The family who runs the place is incredibly kind and attentive—they made sure we had everything we needed and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. If you're okay with a bit of walking or taking taxis/bikes, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. It’s a gem!

Location and no AC, but totally worth it

Loved this guest house. The family that operates it is so kind and welcoming. The room and property are both clean and neat as a pin. The shower runs reliably hot, the wifi works even during power outages, there's also a solar backup in that event. They helped with airport transfers and happily accommodated my dietary restrictions. I had the best banana lassi for breakfast. The property is on a quiet street about a 10-minute walk from the heart of Lake Side--it's much less chaotic there, a peaceful oasis. Would happily return and stay for another good stretch!

My recent stay at this guesthouse in Pokhara was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I arrived, the staff's warm hospitality made me feel right at home. The accommodation wasbexceptionally comfortable, with clean, cosy rooms, and a serene atmosphere. One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast, which was both hearty and delicious (choice of eggs, potatoes, juice, tea or coffer) Freshly prepared withl ingredients from their own garden, it was the ideal start to my mornings. The affordability of the stay was another major plus—it's rare to find such excellent value without sacrificing quality. The guesthouse’s location was also ideal, offering easy access to the lakeside and nearby attractions. Whether you're visiting for relaxation or adventure, this guesthouse is a fantastic choice. I can't recommend it enough and would gladly return on my next trip to Pokhara! Thanks again, Surya for being a great host!

My stay at New Annapurna Guest House was great. The owner, Surya, was very helpful with everything. He arranged a fantastic trekking tot Annapurna Base Camp for me with the best guide, Shankar, and porter, Suresh, I could have wished for. He booked a flight to Kathmandu for me and also arranged a taxi for a sightseeing tour around Pokhara. Breakfast was delicious in a beautiful peaceful garden. It is very convenient to walk to restaurants and shops and to the beautiful FEWA lake. It was wonderful to stay here and when I go to Pokhara again I definitely will stay here again.

Staff and hotel owner/operator were great!! The location was one block from the best/most inexpensive Tibetan restaurant that was pivotal in my meals that were not served by the hotel (breakfast). Surya and family were a huge help for navigating my stay, assisting with driver/ excursion arrangements, and just making me feel at home with great conversation/smiles/and cooking! Special shout out to housekeeping- the place was ALWAYS clean and I never walked past without sharing a smile and a Namaste. This is the perfect representation of what I anticipate my say to be when I travel in a budget but do not want to lose out in the quality of my stay. Thank you to the staff and the whole family. You made my trip in Pokhara: Thank you so much.

That I had to leave.

The hotel has good quality rooms about 10 min from the center. The breakfast is extremely good with home made ingredients. The best are the owners though! We arrived at 6 am from the night bus and the owner was so nice and gave us our room already so that we could sleep a bit. He even offered us breakfast, even though we only had one breakfast included (the next day). He was also extremely helpful to help us organize our trek (ABC). He gave us valuable information and organized a transfer to the startpoint (for a fair price). It is possible to store the luggage you don’t want to take on a trek in the hotel. Valuables were taken care of as well. This is very practical for anyone going on a trip!

The magnificent Himalayan Mountains can be seen from the rooftop. You take off your shoes outside the door. The rooms are very spacious and perfectly clean. The bed mats are of good quality and the firmness is appropriate so I had a good night's sleep. The owner speaks fluent Japanese as well as English, is sincere and kindly fulfills the various requests of his guests. The hotel grounds are well maintained and full of flowers and greenery. Organic fruits and vegetables grown in the garden are used for breakfast. I would choose this place again next time.

This is a wonderful guest house with very friendly staff and owner. They were very helpful and welcoming. This place feels like a little community. We liked having our breakfast in the garden area amongst all the plants. They grove things like guava, papaya, and coffee all of which they use in their breakfasts. Despite being a bit of a walk to the main Lakeside area, we liked the location as it felt quieter and more peaceful.

Annapurna guest house was beautiful from the moment we walked into the front garden. The host was very friendly and was accommodating for our early breakfast needs and provided hairdryer when asked. The room was stunning and the shower was so powerful and hot whenever we tried it. We had a little set of table and chairs on the balcony outside our room and that was a great touch as we got some fresh air to do some planning without having to walk to a cafe
