The room was next to the cleaning and service room and the staff were very annoying and their voices were loud, especially early in the morning. When I called the reception to inform them of this, they did not care about it and no response was taken.

It was lovely hotel, nice and clean. Friendly staff.

The bathroom door is frosted and directly at the end of the bed so you can see people on the toilet. Not good but especially when with a friend.

Room cleaning happens in the afternoon so you don't have to rush to wake up early and leave the hotel. The bathroom is huge for Amsterdam, especially the shower. Good water pressure and exhaust in the bathroom. Huge elevator. Hotel has some steep front steps but there's a little elevator at the side where you can bring up your luggage or for disability access. Great location near Albert Cuypmarkt, and right in front is the tram stop.

Only 1 elevator and if you're staying at the B1 level and press your button first, it will still service the upper floors first and then go back down to B1. We often just waited to get on when we were the only guests left.

Good location, good size room (deluxe double/twin), with a sitting area, it was clean, good breakfast.

The weird shaped room, narrow and long. The ventilation system that had a will of its own - even though it was turned off, from time to time it ventilated some really cold air.

Lovely staff on arrival and a clean modern hotel The location is nice behind the hotel is an up and coming area with bars and restaurants which is less touristy and quieter. 25 mins to walk to the main centre. Right next to the Heineken experience if you are interested in this

The breakfast wasn’t great. Food was pretty bland and the selection wasn’t amazing. The fridge in our room didn’t work. The doors in our room to the bathroom were like a shower door and didn’t close properly so there was no privacy.( Room 401) Our friends had a much better room with a proper door to the bathroom. (403) if you get 401 I would recommend changing to another.

This was one of our best experiences staying at a hotel. The location was perfect with plenty to offer in the surrounding area, within walking distance. The room was very comfortable and the staff were amazing from the time we arrived to the time we checked out. They talked the talk and went the extra mile to ensure we had an enjoyable and pleasant stay - we are Delighted customers.

Replace water daily in the rooms and provide tea and mild, not everyone only drinks coffee which cannot be a dislike as it was any expresso machine provided.

Overall good location and walking distance to museums and activities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Local area has nice cafes and eateries and it was further from the busy old to town area.

Whilst this is not a 5 star branded hotel, on the first night and second morning our room only had one bath towel, I asked for a second one and we were told that bath towels had run out for the two days. On the third night we had asked to borrow wine glasses and a bottle opener as our room didn’t have any and were told we don’t lend these out as they disappear.

Location was great, not too far to old town centre. the beds/pillows were the best, so comfortable, breakfast was great. Staff were very polite and friendly.

The only issue we had was with the cleaning of the rooms. They were left to be cleaned too late in The day. We were told that only checkout rooms were cleaned before 3:00pm. This is very inconvenient for people like us who go out during the day and return for a rest between 2:00pm and 3:00pm.

We had a really wonderful stay at Hotel Notting Hill. The staff were very friendly, especially the lady who checked us in. We were given an upgrade to our room which was lovely, and it was very nicely decorated and had a big bathroom, as well as a nice view of the canal and surrounding buildings and streets. The hotel is well located, close to tram stops and within walking distance of some of the classic things to see in Amsterdam, like the Rijksmuseum. There were lots of nice cafes and restaurants in the area as well. We only got the hotel’s breakfast once but it was great, with lots of options and fresh fruits and food, and none of it felt mass produced like some of the other hotels we’ve stayed at in Europe. We will definitely stay again if we come back to Amsterdam!

The only critiques I’d make was that the shower door didn’t seal very well, so our bathroom got very wet even after a short shower, and that cleaning of rooms didn’t begin until 1500, which is a bit inconvenient for people returning from a day of exploring Amsterdam, as 1500 is a common time to do so.
