We went with our family for a few days to Amsterdam for the first time. We chose this hotel as it is located close to the Anne Frank House and other Amsterdam land marks. Staff was very helpful, we had a room on one of the top floors, so they offered to bring our luggage to the room. Very helpful, as the stairs are nothing to mess with. The room itself was perfect and had everything we needed. We didn't had breakfast, but there were some options to get it delivered to your room. When you come to Amsterdam we absolutely recommend staying here.

The lobby is nothing more then a hall way with very comfortable couch and the best coffee you ever taste. It's a hotel in the heart of Amsterdam so the main focus is on sleeping which we deed perfectly.

A wonderful hotel. Located next to the 9 straatjes, location couldn't be any better. The hotel itself is simple, but sufficient for a stay. The staff was very helpful. As the stairs can be quite challenging, they helped us bringing our luggage to the room. We had a room overlooking the beautiful Keizersgracht and we felt bad for staying here for just one night. Next time when we are in Amsterdam, we will stay here again!

The hotel self is full of charm. There is nothing I can think of to change. Bathroom is a bit dated, but that is something for our future stay :).

We had a really good experience in terms of staff cleanliness location was great perfect distance from the centre and had access to a coffee machine free of charge that made the best coffee. The staff were a standout friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming vibe. Cleanliness was top notch, which added to the comfort. The location hit the sweet spot for accessibility and calm, and that coffee machine was a game changer, offering a free, high quality perk that elevated their stay. There is a supermarket on the other side of the canal with the best freshly pressed orange juice ever.

The only issue was we booked a deluxe double room but we had been given a Comfort double Room which had although had draw backs i.e when people was entering or leaving the hotel was really loud and when people are talking in reception you can hear everything and the t.v was really hard to get a signal but there was plus sides to this in terms of being closer to the coffee machine in the reception and the door to go outside and smoke.

The hotel is in a prime location for 9 straatjes and this is a massive asset. The hotel is exactly what you would expect of a dutch building of this age steep stairs and traditional. The hotel check in/ out was effortless and the staff welcoming and friendly. They provide coffee and snacks every morning for guests complimentary and also welcome drinks in the mini bar in the room complimentary all very nice touches.

The only slight negative for me was a few things in the room not maintained. A faulty coffee machine and bathroom mirror light were not working. The room although ok could be cleaned to a better standard for a 4* rating but I made allowances for this and for me wasnt a problem but I am sure some travellers would probably raise a few points / issues. Overall adequate but the hotel could really shine with a little more TLC.

The location was excellent - very easy to get to various places and lovely neighbourhood. We got the top floor which meant we had to go up three flights of steep staircases with our luggage. The hotel kindly warned us of the lack of lifts in the building and offered lower levels before our stay so it’s our fault that we didn’t take up on this offer - but would definitely recommend lower floors if you have large luggage. Complimentary fruit, water and snacks were very much appreciated.

We moved the couch forward to have better access to the coffee table and it was a little dusty under it.

Overall we loved the hotel and will recommend to our friends. Our room has an excellent view of the canal. We could just sit in the room and watch the boats go by. Huge windows and it felt like we were sitting outside. Free snacks and coffee all day. We even had free drinks left in the fridge for us.

I wish there were mirrors in the room, it only had in the bathroom. And another armchair. Only one of us can sit near the window at a time.

Perfect location to explore the main sights of Amsterdam by foot, walk out from the front door straight onto the canal. Very beautiful. Nice decor and facilities in hotel. Complimentary drinks provided and replenished. Easy check in and leaving cases.

Avoid Room 3, it is the first room at the top of the first flights of stairs, so we heard half of the hotel walking past our door including those returning in the middle of the night, didn’t sleep well at all for this reason. Also the room looked onto quite a sad looking courtyard. Room would also benefit from a full length mirror, one mirror in the bathroom isn’t enough for 2 people to get ready.

Amazing location. Very nice feel to the accommodation, luggage storage not an issue. They allowed me to check in early and start getting ready for friends arriving which was really nice. The man on the front desk immediately recommended me several good books, one of which was about octopuses. This is very important to me when travelling. Flat living area was huge and perfect space for a big group of friends to cook and eat dinner and enjoy each others company. Staff really looked after us and everyone was so nice. Thanks a lot for a great trip!

We received a different room to the one advertised in photos by booking.com. It worked out for us in the end due to the space being so big which compensated for it being different to what was advertised. A few things in the room were broken on arrival, the hotel sent a very nice handiman to fix, but it might be better to keep it in a slightly higher standard if repair.

We stayed in the 6 person loft apartment, the beds were comfy, it was very clean, fresh towels everyday, free coffee and snacks in reception whenever you like, we had some beers and Pepsi in the fridge when we arrived, free WiFi and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Very close to the centre, about a 20 minute walk to Central station, few minute walk to the tram or metro links. Right on the canel so views from the living area and front bedroom. Were able to store bags before check-in (16:00) and after check-out (10:00), the toilets by reception were also very nice.

The only main annoyance was that there's a constant noise coming from a heat pump / boiler by attached to the roof which is right by the front bedroom. The cooker was slightly awkward to use but got there in the end, just have to reset everytime you open the door as it goes into cooling mode.

Great snacks and coffee for free at the reception 24/7. Coffee machine with pods and kettle in the bedroom. Staff reception 24h, they were excellent! Friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Cozy room and very comfortable mattress, we loved the king bed. Not cold. Bathroom, was nice but only had shampoo, no body gel. Calm and safe neighbourhood, felt safe at night, close to the shops, about 5 to 10min walk. And a supermarket (jumbo) around the corner.

The stairs to the first floor were awkward/not easy to climb, and floor quite noisy, we could hear other guests up and down the stairs during the night. Location is great but some people may find it a bit far from the train station (if need to carry heavy lugage). I´d say about 20min walking.
