The front desk person Ahmed is very helpful and friendly. He answered all my questions, showed me places where to go and to visit during my stay , he carried my luggage to my room and always available when I needed him. The owners of the hotel Also are friendly and very professional . The location is convenient as you can walk to the city center, cultural attractions, the Museum and the canal. The staff were very supportive and even gave us a city map with recommendations for places to visit during our short stay. The room was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. The location is excellent and within walking distance of most tourist attractions and only about a 15-minute walk to the train station. The stairs are quite steep and a bit tricky, but this seems to be typical of the architectural style in the Netherlands and actually adds to the experience.

It’s a 2 star hotel, don’t expect anything fancy. It’s fine for what it is. Like many small hotels in Amsterdam it’s up a flight of steep and narrow stairs. My single room was tiny, but again that’s ok. The bed would not work for anyone over 6’ tall. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Room was a bit shabby, but cleaned daily. No coffee setup in the room, but a small fridge, and a window that opens which is nice.

It’s fine, keeping in mind that it’s a 2 star hotel.

The location was excellent, as everything is within walking distance. It was good to have a small fridge in the room. My room was actually quiet, being situated at the back of the building. I was not kept awake by King's Day celebrators. The staff were excellent and attentive to making clients comfortable. Very good, trustworthy people!

Things like working lights should be checked before guests arrive. Difficult access to adjust the heater (I had to stand on the bed to reach it.) Also, the mirror was too high on the wall and I could only see from my nose up before Zain took the mirror off the wall and set it on the desk. There are 37 narrow, steep stairs to climb from the street up to the first floor. Anyone with bad knees would find it difficult. On the other hand, if you have good knees, the stairs are a good physical workout.

I booked one room for 3 plp for 3 nights at Sharm hotel. The staff was very warm and friendly. The receptionist Zein is very professional and is doing his best to take care of the customers. He can recommend you how to spend your time in Amsterdam, where to go and what to see. He advised us to visit Madurodam near the Hague where we had an exceptional experience😉🤗 The location of the hotel is very well situated, 10 mins from the Central Station. 5 mins from Dam Square and Anna Frank Museum. A Very comfortable and cute hotel in a historical building🙂

The only thing is to be taken into account are the stairs which are verrry steepy! And they have a nice cat Mr Kiko there who is very cute and friendly too) but plz also pay attention who is allergic!🐱

Alongside a modest interior and simple amenities, the kindness of the staff at this hotel absolutely made this stay for me. Having made a super last-minute booking to be in Amsterdam for 48h, the receptionist was super friendly upon my arrival and immediately offered tips for the city. My room was small but I found it very cozy, and (despite being able to hear other guests walk in and out at late hours) I got two nights of great sleep. The hotel’s location is fantastic if you need to be out and about in the city center.

The shower in the bathroom was difficult to use as it was missing a shower head, making it tricky to wash one’s hair. The walls are also pretty thin (understandable for an old Amsterdam building) so you can hear guests walk in and make noise at late hours. As a good sleeper this wasn’t an issue for me, but picky sleepers might want to keep that in mind beforehand.

Location location location The staff Zein he is the absolute best Zein made the obstacles like the super steep stairs 4 sets of them (for groups of four have to Go to the last floor ) He helped so much with luggage with heating pads with opening the door Zein will make sure you are ok through your stay he goes above and beyond because of him I would come back to this Hotel if I had too.

Stairs if you have a knee problem forget about it

The location (in the Grachtengordel, within easy walking distance of Amsterdam Centraal and lots of good bars and restaurants) was excellent. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet given that the hotel is on a fairly busy road. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bonus points for having a cat :)

The room was tiny (but we knew to expect this). The stairs were VERY steep - not a problem for us but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility issues for that reason.

Warm room in a quiet place in a very central location. The professionalism of the receptionist was evident and i loved the cat which was described as the boss of the house. The room had a good window with a garden view and city views were great! We were lucky to have sunny days!

The stairs going up to the reception were steep and narrow as the building was an old tradition al building however it could be more clean. No hair shampoo was provided

Great location and a clean room. Cleanliness is my main priority. The room was very small and basic but exactly as described. Very good value for money, staff very friendly and helpful. For what we paid we are extremely happy. We don’t book a basic hotel for a cheap price and expect 5* like some people, just a clean room with a comfortable bed and that is exactly what we got
