the room was fine the location is perfect the breakfast is wide range variety and the staff in the dining room is most cordial and fun and thoughtful. (SRI and who I call her sisters made the entire experience a happy one she and the ladies are sincere and hard workers the omlette lady as well all most courtesy and kind!! also a lovely young woman at the front desk with beautiful eyes was a true Hotelier she has great guest services she is a natural!!

I smoke but was shocked that the guests dumped cigarettes all over the front steps and sidewalk maybe better meaningful signage and as you know the bottom step makes everyone fall Maybe some kind of notice or warning sign or bright tape or something?!

Great location, good selection of breakfast foods, they offer lunch and dinner options as well. The staff were friendly. We stayed in the Standard room and it was very clean and has everything you need for your stay.

If you're considering renting an umbrella from the reception, be sure to return it on time. We were only a few minutes late and ended up being charged three times the rental fee as a penalty. Additionally, if you plan to relax and watch TV during your stay, it's a good idea to bring your own movies, as the available channels leave much to be desired.

Location excellent, staff fantastic, they all go above and beyond. Disability lift was so appreciated. Canal view standard room was a bit compact, but we had great sleeps. Buffet breakfast was excellent, good variety of foods, well presented and well cooked. Price is not cheap, but comparative with other city centre hotels. We would return.

Wardrobe door could not fully open to use mirror as room too compact. Bathroom door on a spring so could not leave it open to fill kettle or coffee maker. I have mobility problems and having to battle the door was at times quite painful for me.

This was our 3rd stay at NH City Centre. Again, we were impressed with our room, location and the friendly staff especially Sri at Breakfast. I met a fellow Australian who had been stranded at the hotel for 8 weeks due to a holiday mishap (her story to tell). She relayed to me the wonderful and caring treatment she had had from the staff and management during her time of need and distress. I was blown away by what she told me and I wanted to let others know that this establishment goes above and beyond the expected. NH is a hotel with heart in the heart of the city. We will be returning next year!!

The 5th floor view was excellent. The location was central to most everything we wanted to visit. The staff were pleasant, cordial, efficient and nicely customer oriented. The linens were nice. The in-room coffee maker and hot pot made a good start to each day and a great stay.

The room was on the small side, but this could have been overlooked if a second chair had been in the room so one of us wasn't always relegated to sitting on the bed when we were in the room. Towels were "stiff" and there were no facecloths available.

Great location within Central Amsterdam. Easily walkable from the Central Station and could walk to the Rijksmusuem. Were given a free breakfast upgrade so that was a nice touch. Reception staff were both friendly and helpful. The eco vouchers for not having your room cleaned were a good idea.

Unfortunately the bar was shut on the Saturday evening due to staff illness so it was not possible to redeem the eco vouchers for a free drink.

The location is perfect! We walked everywhere: flower market, ann frank’s house, monument of jewish names, canal cruise, shopping, train station, red light district, de 9 straajtes, etc. We had a room with canal view and it was beautiful. The bed was comfortable but the pillows not so much. There was a mini fridge, hot water to shower, a/c, and a closet with hangers. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.

Just one thing we did not like: both the hotel’s website and booking.com profile state that there is a restaurant and bar. This is one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. However, they do not specify that the bar is only open “late” on the weekends (thursday-saturday). During the week, the restaurant/bar closes at 3pm. I learned about this the hard way. The hotel should be clear about their opening hours. Otherwise, it is very deceiving.

Location was excellent, the room was clean and the staff was super helpful. Breakfast was very nice as well.

The air conditioning in the room didn't work but the hotel staff provided a little heater instead. The hotel system for contacting them on their app (for room service, amenities, etc.) didn't work which was a shame and they seemed a little reluctant to provide us with more than one roll of toilet paper even though we were in a 4 person room (with 4 people).

I had a wonderful stay at the NH City Centre Hotel in Amsterdam! From the moment I checked in, I was impressed by the excellent service and the stylish, comfortable room. As a special guest of the day, I was thrilled to receive a free upgrade to a larger room with a beautiful view of the city. The location is perfect for exploring Amsterdam, with many attractions just a short walk away. The staff was friendly and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast is standard Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Amsterdam!

I didn't get breakfast. Location was perfect and thank God for the elevators!

I wish the restaurant would just sell a cup of coffee for those of us that don't want to wake our roommates by using the coffee machine in the room. It's quite noisy. They don't, though. You have to pay for the full breakfast which is pricey...21€. The mattresses were extremely hard. The staff accommodated this by giving me 2 extra duvets to fold up and use as padding. During the trip I got injured. Surely this has happened before. It would have been nice if there had been a wheelchair available to rent, or the staff had any idea of where I could get a cane, walker, or wheelchair. I hope this can be amended for future guests who may end up in the same situation.
