The Location was fine as we have stayed locally 2years ago, so we were familiar with how close we were to where we wanted to visit Ann Frank, Van Gough, museums trams and the Amsterdam Train Station. At Schiphol Airport you can catch the train to Amsterdam Train Station for under 15 Euro's for 2 people single journey. Much cheaper than a taxi, which can cost around 80 Euro's. In the bathroom I liked the magnifying mirror for shaving, a lot of hotels do not have that facility. Room was large enough but lacking in drawers to put clothes away. The breakfast was a little expensive even though we used it daily, there was a selection of hot and cold food to choose from. The omelettes cooked individually, great start to the day.

The location was great. Very close to Dam Square and within walking distance of many museums and attractions. The bed was very comfortable.

€26 per person for breakfast was rather steep. The hot water heating system was somewhat lacking. When you turned the temperature up, it increased the speed of a ventilator fan in the ceiling that was blowing out cold air. Not an issue if you're staying here in the summer, but we had cool rainy days and came back to a cold room. Bathroom was kind of tight with a large shower door that you had to swing out to get into and out of the shower. As you're getting out of the shower, water is, of course, dripping all over the floor.

We had an exceptional stay thanks to the outstanding service provided by two remarkable staff members. Alejandro at the front desk went above and beyond when we arrived at midnight. Despite booking a room for 3 people and notifying the hotel in advance that we needed an extra bed for our child, there was no additional bed in our room upon arrival. Alejandro immediately understood our situation - a tired child needing sleep - and personally brought an extra bed to our room without delay. As compensation for the inconvenience, he also arranged complimentary breakfast for us. This level of service truly exceeded our expectations. Siri from the dining room staff was absolutely delightful - always smiling and welcoming us with such warmth and friendliness. Her positive attitude made our breakfast experience truly enjoyable. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, and the rooms are decent overall. The only minor issue was that light comes through in the morning even with the curtains closed, but this didn’t significantly impact our stay. We highly recommend this hotel, especially for the exceptional staff who made our visit memorable. Thank you Alejandro and Siri for your wonderful service!

I thought the hotel was in a great location, centrally located, easy walking distance to all the main sights. Nice quiet street far from the hustle and bustle. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

We were in a triple room. There were no electric outlets by the beds or in the bathroom. This was not very convenient when it came to using hair irons or when all three of us had to charge our phones at the same time. The hair dryer in the bathroom did not work and when it did it hardly blew out any air at all. The cleaning staff failed to clean or replace the used coffee cups at the coffee station. We were given only two complementary bottles of water for three people.

Location is very good and the staff very nice. It had a good fridge in te bedroom. Bed was confortable.

The room was very small. We were 3 adults and they put a Rolling bed, unconfortable and noisy, in an already small space. It was crowded. It was not easy too use the Coffee Machíne because of the place it was in. Very small TV. The bathtub was very high. It was difficult to get in and out.

the room was fine the location is perfect the breakfast is wide range variety and the staff in the dining room is most cordial and fun and thoughtful. (SRI and who I call her sisters made the entire experience a happy one she and the ladies are sincere and hard workers the omlette lady as well all most courtesy and kind!! also a lovely young woman at the front desk with beautiful eyes was a true Hotelier she has great guest services she is a natural!!

I smoke but was shocked that the guests dumped cigarettes all over the front steps and sidewalk maybe better meaningful signage and as you know the bottom step makes everyone fall Maybe some kind of notice or warning sign or bright tape or something?!

Great location, good selection of breakfast foods, they offer lunch and dinner options as well. The staff were friendly. We stayed in the Standard room and it was very clean and has everything you need for your stay.

If you're considering renting an umbrella from the reception, be sure to return it on time. We were only a few minutes late and ended up being charged three times the rental fee as a penalty. Additionally, if you plan to relax and watch TV during your stay, it's a good idea to bring your own movies, as the available channels leave much to be desired.

Location excellent, staff fantastic, they all go above and beyond. Disability lift was so appreciated. Canal view standard room was a bit compact, but we had great sleeps. Buffet breakfast was excellent, good variety of foods, well presented and well cooked. Price is not cheap, but comparative with other city centre hotels. We would return.

Wardrobe door could not fully open to use mirror as room too compact. Bathroom door on a spring so could not leave it open to fill kettle or coffee maker. I have mobility problems and having to battle the door was at times quite painful for me.

This was our 3rd stay at NH City Centre. Again, we were impressed with our room, location and the friendly staff especially Sri at Breakfast. I met a fellow Australian who had been stranded at the hotel for 8 weeks due to a holiday mishap (her story to tell). She relayed to me the wonderful and caring treatment she had had from the staff and management during her time of need and distress. I was blown away by what she told me and I wanted to let others know that this establishment goes above and beyond the expected. NH is a hotel with heart in the heart of the city. We will be returning next year!!

Great location within Central Amsterdam. Easily walkable from the Central Station and could walk to the Rijksmusuem. Were given a free breakfast upgrade so that was a nice touch. Reception staff were both friendly and helpful. The eco vouchers for not having your room cleaned were a good idea.

Unfortunately the bar was shut on the Saturday evening due to staff illness so it was not possible to redeem the eco vouchers for a free drink.
