Didn't do breakfast, and we really enjoyed the good mattresses. We were not in the main building but we really liked the view from our window. It was quite peaceful.

Since we stayed when it wasn't too hot, there wasn't anything we didin't like. We did notice that there was no air-co in our building. Understandable in such an old ,historic building, but just a fan in the summer would definately keep us from booking during the summer months.

The location

There are private parking spots in the courtyard protected by a device (some might be down). If you are using them to just load/unload your luggage be careful not to pinch your car tire while you are parking there. It happened to me. Fixing a flat tire in the dark, late in the evening, was not fun.

This is the place where I feel like at home! Especially the garden with fountain and their own beer is fantastic. And then just outside of the hotel you can find few lakes with animals. Really relaxing and enjoyable. This is my favorite place love it.

I left some luggage and they said that they will personally take care for it. Because something strange happened a day before. And then they throw it my bag away! Strange! And then the hotel staff said that they will reimburse my bag with staff and they never responded on my emails anymore...even after I am staying there again. Feel a bit tricked and not trustful.

Very friendly people. There is a locked bicycle storage available. Which is great. Very nice old abbey with a beautiful garden. Clean room and bathroom. Good bed and good breakfast buffet.

The brasserie was a bit chaotic. I’ve got meat instead of the vegan dish I’ had ordered. They quickly solved the problem and served me the right dish.

The location is great The food is excellent The rooms comfortable and clean Simply a good hotel.

One of the staff was very cantankerous and as he was working in the bar and later in the restaurant it made the time spent in those locations a little unpleasant when interfacing with that person

Beautiful, quiet astounding location (former abbey - please don't miss out the amazing chapel!), big clean and warm rooms, nature surrounding the hotel (there was a lake/pond with farm animals!), close to the city center and 20 min on foot from the central station.

I must say I was a bit disappointed by the fact that our room was not in the main stunning building, but in another one, close but this second building had without doubt less "majestic" vibes. I got a glimpse of a couple rooms located in the main building and it was all another story :)

The hotel is inside the abbey making it a really fun and interesting place to stay. Our room was clean and we found the staff to be lovely and friendly.

OMG the building! It is rare you get to stay in a place with so much history. The view from window was spectacular. Felt a little like a horror movie in the best way possible. The room was simple, had all I needed. Slept well. Free parking. Deer and other animals in the area. Beautiful shower.

Curtain has some stains on it. No coffee or tea option in the room (could be nice). The canvas in the room was a bit scarry :D Has a RED coffin on it. Overall, nothing much to complain about.

It was an amazing experience to stay at an actual abbey! Walking through the halls gives you a feeling of time travel.. it was a unique experience. The hotel is also easily accessible from the highway.

The hall we stayed in had very squeaky floor boards.

The venue is of course something unique. It feels like you're walking back in history. Very nice surroundings as well and close to both Germany and Belgium. Beds were very comfortable and the room was clean.

I wish we could at least into the main church/abbey itself without a tour. Also, the rooms with common bathrooms stink really bad! They need an upgrade and a coat of paint.
