Balcony with the most comfortable patio chairs. Great view of ocean, inviting, clean and comfortable room.

That we weren’t informed via booking.com about ongoing construction at the hotel until AFTER booking was made!. That the instructions were not more detailed about where the entrance was. That we found out only upon arrival that always had to use a flight of stairs and then a long corridor to get to the elevator in order to get to our room. If we had known this in advance, we might not have been willing to pay as much for this room.

It was a pity that the hotel was still being refurbished. But the staff were extremely helpful . No doubt now it will be super to stay and have restaurant facilities. Being a booking for same day for 2 rooms and easter we were lucky to find the Charlton beach hotel. Would highly recommend it. Also handy that the tram stops in front of the hotel.

Due to still being refurbished the lift started on the first floor. With 2 elderly guest that was not easy but staff helped. So now that hotel is finished that is no.longet an issue.

Lots! The location was great (the tramline and buses were right outside, plus the beach of course) and the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and the bathroom was really nice. We loved the bathtub. Little things like there being an English plug socket in the room was really helpful. My kids loved the swimming pool and the ladies there were so kind - especially with my youngest who has special needs. The air conditioning was awesome too. It was all very good.

Only difficulty was that we had to get two rooms and they were not close together - we were two corridors away and my son has special needs so he had difficulty pooping over to see his dad and brother easily because he can’t read the room numbers. I had requested two rooms to be close to each other when I booked.

Everything was great the personell was awesome and really really kind. The view was breathtaking, the breakfast was one of kings and servers are so hardworking and polite. There is many options available and reception is super helpful with suggestions on what to see. We really loved it and plan on returning.

Mini bar could have had better asortman of snacks and drinks and the fridge isn't really cooling too much. Would be useful if there was more storage room but we managed. Also it would be amazing if there was some option to somehow hang towels and bathing suits to dry since the beach is super close and we did go swimming.

Our new favorite place in Scheveningen. Front Desk was welcoming and efficient, being able to reserve on-site parking, extremely well-designed compact room with views to the northern dunes and directly west to the sea, the ferris wheel, etc. Within 10 minute walk to all we wanted to do in Scheveningen. Comfortable bed and pillows. Room had great soundproofing. Good shower and shower amenities. Ample space for luggage.

Very little we didn’t like. Our room, the hotel and its amenities and location checked all the boxes. Would have liked better bathroom mirror lighting in this particular room.

The location is great, 2 minutes to the beach and 5 to the pier. The bed was great, my back was more than happy and normaly i get back pain in hotel beds. When you book, please make sure tobreserv parking. I didn't but theres plenty of pricy options around the hotel. The garage next to it cost 35€ (07/2025) per day

The sea side view i booked was more like "at the edge of the balkony you can see a glimpse of the ocean"......

Excellent location right by the amazing beach and bars. brilliant staff, extremely polite, facilitating and efficient. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have stayed in at a hotel. Great bike hire as well.

Some of the web images are misleading as the hotel doesn't have any beach facilities, including wind shields and beds. This is a shame as you'll have to rent a bed and sheild for about 15 euro a day.

The location is perfect; the beach and promenade are immediately adjacent to the hotel, while a tram stop allows you to travel straight into the centre of The Hague in about 10 minutes. The room was spacious and well furnished. The inclusion of an iron as standard was greatly appreciated! The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. I paid for the breakfast and was not disappointed; a wide assortment of cold and warm food and drinks. The inclusion of breakfast Prosecco was very much enjoyed!

I have nothing bad to say about my experience. Would heartily recommend.

The location is perfect, very stylish interior, and very friendly and helpful staff.

The breakfast buffet could be better organised - it was almost impossible to reach the bread with everyone queuing for the coffee machine in one corner.

The view from the room (room 403) is great. Breakfast is, as usual, awesome. The check-in was at speed of light (always appreciated after a long drive and a day at work). The gym is well equipped and you can actually do proper workouts there. And I also like having breakfast looking at the beach :-)

Due to the 2 lifts being down at the same time, there were many people bumping into each other in the stairs near the reception. In addition, since room 403 is near the stairs and the stairs were busy (even at very late hours), i was constantly woken up by people talking on their way to 4th floor from the staircase. Not the hotel's fault per se but better sound-proofing on rooms near the staircases would certainly be welcome. There was a bad smell in the room (opening the window for 5-10 minutes resolved the issue, but it kept coming back).
