Hotel/restaurant in a historic building is centrally located near all attractions and many stores and restaurants, and either a 15 minutes walk or short tram ride from central station. The service by staff, including both managers, was excellent; included breakfast (non-buffet)was nice and plentiful—and manager happily arranged for us to have a wonderful to-go breakfast on our getaway day because of an early flight. Room/suite was very comfortable with a warming fireplace that we enjoyed each day especially because the weather was cold/rainy; minibar includes a nice selection of beer/wine/soft drinks and snacks that are included in the price and replenished daily. Bed was very comfortable. Our room with shuttered windows overlooked the main plaza and was nice for people watching. Very big restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating, and comfortably appointed.

The rooms are all suites nicely appointed, but layout is a little difficult as jacuzzi bath , shower and vanity are in one room adjacent to bedroom, and toilet in a separate area on the other side. Also, there is no door between bedroom and bath/shower/vanity, so it can be difficult if a second person wants to sleep. This was not a problem for us, but deserves mention.

I had noticed the hotel from walking in the area and been drawn to it as it's old style Dutch. The rooms have been completely renovated to a high standard. The morning buffet was personal to our table. The staff were all helpful, the food was good, and the bed was comfortable. We loved having a gas fire in the sitting area. The location is fantastic as base to explore this very walkable city. It made for a nice night away for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

I realize how challenging it must have been to convert/renovate the old facility rooms into these amazing units they are now. Some comments: We stayed in Torentje. There not being a privacy separator of some kind for the shower/tub area is baffling to me. A curtain, etched glass separator, room screen….anything! Shower door was difficult to manage properly. Other than that….everything was outstanding.

This hotel is very different and quirky. The staff are fantastic. Rooms were clean. The daily restocked free mini bar was something we never encountered before and was very welcome after a day exploring. The breakfast was delicious and was served up to 11.30am! That's a first! Overall, this is a very relaxing hotel.

There are a lot of stairs to climb so it probably would not suit someone with mobility issues. The television was very temperamental. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

Lovely, quaint, little boutique hotel with a popular bar and restaurant area downstairs. Right in the central part of the city and super close (c.15 mins) to all the popular tourist destinations as well as the train station.

The hot water in the bathroom would often be intermittent. I must confess I am a long shower taker, but in the middle of a shower you might get a gust of cold water for a while and have to wait 20 mins for the hot water to replenish. Was a small problem to an otherwise comfortable and extremely pleasant stay.

Excellent position in the centre of Den Haag. Beautiful and tastefully furnished. Very comfortable bed.

Noisy at night. Being a heritage building there are single windows, which cannot stop the noise from outside coming in, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. There is a good reason for the earplugs on the bedside table. We stayed in the Binnenhof room. Maybe not facing the small alley with bar that closes early in the morning could help.

I love this charming hotel! Also I wish I knew that taxi cannot reach to the door of the hotel and I need to walk for the last couple of minutes to get here.

I like my room but the ventilation can be improved. The room is generally quiet but I can hear people on the street at 2AM or 3 AM.

The manager& staff was fantastic. So kind to us. The restaurant was very good& good value. Room was very clean. Quite modern suite- bath in the bedroom. I would absolutely return - but to a more traditional room! Great location. Ambassador& Dr W Montgomery

The property is centrally located with good access to lots of restaurants, bars and shops. The breakfast which was included was exceptional. We booked a junior suite and it was beautiful, complete with a jacuzzi bath. All soft drinks and wine in the room was complimentary and stocked up every day. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. One member of staff remembered I had tea every morning so I didn’t have to ask, she brought it directly. Thank you for an exceptional stay.

One very minor thing was, because of the hotels central location it can be quite noisy on a night and morning. However ear plugs were provided in the room.

We had a wonderful stay at 't Goude Hooft. The hotel is bijou but gorgeous, and the customer service is fantastic. The location is amazing and the terrace and restaurant are lovely. Myself and my daughter really loved our visit and we would love to return one day.
