Charming, great location, buffet breakfast

Carpark is very small and not easily accessible. The hotel is difficult to reach by car. It is an old style hotel and lots of stairs to get to your room. Nobody helped for our suitcases. Staff was cold and detached.

The Front desk staff, especially the Australian gentleman and the Peruvian Lady ( my apologies that I forgot their resp.. name) ,have been extremely helpful in assigning us the room we hoped for. The hotel was fully booked because the NATO Summit was held in the week we stayed in The Hague. So, when we checked in, we got a decent room but not suitable for a week's stay and certainly not value for the price we paid. The following day, they managed to give us another room with a terrace. It was perfect. So many thanks to both of you. Your flexibility saved our stay !

That, because of the Nato summit, the hotel price we paid was substantially higher than it used to be.

I was relocated from a single room to a twin room, and I'd strongly recommend to pay a bit more and book a larger room. The single room was fine, but the twin room had far better facilities in every regard. Location cannot be better. I don't think this was specified in the description but both rooms had minibar, although the temperature inside was too warm.

The air conditioning system is certainly not equipped for heat waves - when it's close to 30C, the room feels very stuffy. The air conditioner in my first room was full of dust and didn't work even after hasty cleaning (the cleaning that made my first room extremely dusty and unstayable). Cleaning is provided everyday, but it seems that toilet rolls, teas, and other consumables aren't really refilled without explicit request to the front desk.

Quirky hotel in the centre of the Hague. Lots of nice restaurants within a 5 minute walk and yet a quiet location. Super comfy room and bed and a great breakfast. Any fans of the artist Escher should go just for the central staircase which is very reminiscent of his style. Lots of nice sitting areas and a garden at the back. Looks out at the rear onto a green park.

The hotel sent me a separate message, to request extra options, such as: guarantee to have a bath (+10€), bottle of wine at your arrival (+30€) (served cold for white wine), room with a view on the park (+10€), early check-in and early check-out (I don't remember the price), etc. I found those options were cool, since sometimes you book a hotel and things like bath or view are randomly decided. There is a pool in the lobby, cocktails of the day... Location is perfect, in the city center, with a night shop a few meters further, for urgent needs, and lots of places to eat.

The location was excellent, and the room was very nice and clean. The only downside is that if you sleep in after a good night and try to shower around or after noon, you might not have hot water. Other than that, everything was amazing.

While booking the room, I was not informed by booking.com or the hotel that an additional €50 deposit would be required upon check-in. The receptionist explained that this was a deposit, but a portion of it would be deducted for city tax, with the remainder to be refunded to my card (which I have not yet received). When I made the reservation payment prior to arrival, the confirmation clearly stated that the amount included all taxes. Imagine my surprise when I arrived at the hotel and discovered there was an additional tax. This lack of transparency was definitely disappointing.

Extremely good value for money in my opinion! The location was perfect and the rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean. We also had breakfast there which was very nice, with lots of options for everyone. It was the perfect stay for our city trip to Den Haag, hopefully we’ll return!

It would have been nice to have a bigger bar or restaurant in the hotel. There is a bar next to reception but it’s quite small and closes early. But this was really not a big problem, as there are plenty of restaurants and bars close by around the hotel! Overall, I would definitely recommend this place - We had a wonderful stay!

The hotel is very centrally located, close to the Royal Work Palace and plenty of shops. The building itself has a classical charm—pretty without being over the top. I especially enjoyed the lounge, which felt cozy and comfortable. The rooms are good: simple, comfortable, and with fine beds. Overall, a pleasant place to stay right in the heart of the city.

After a underwhelming experience with the breakfast in the past, I decided to skip it this time, so I can’t comment on whether it has improved.

Started with dropping off my luggage before check in, they were efficient and had a good system for security and quick retrieval. Staff friendly, helpful and professional, they are clearly proud of their Hotel. Location is great for walking, I would not want to drive there without some experience in driving on narrow medieval streets. Close to everything! First rate in all regards! Breakfast (free) was amazing, a vast selection of tasty stuff, bread and pastries outstanding, don't pass on the traditional Den Haag cake!

The only thing that could possibly be handy would be a clock radio with a built in charger. That would be the cherry on top of an overall excellent experience!

This hotel is a true pearl in Den Haag – rich on an impressive history and therefore charming, cozy, and yet quiet. The team is extremely friendly and always ready to help, making the stay most enjoyable. You could rent a bike here, savor a nice breakfast or take a short walk to the city center, because it's super close. Simply perfect! The rooms are modern and spacious yet warm and inviting. They come with a coffee/tea machine AND a bathtub - how cool is this! Especially after a long day on your feet.
