Staying at the Moxy was enjoyable and the location was in a perfect spot. Close to a train station making travelling around vastly easy, bike hire also made my stay very enjoyable as it was a fun experience to cycle around Utrecht. Being next to the canal was also a very enjoyable experience due to my love for everything nature based, seeing that every time I came downstairs was the highlight of my mornings.

I think the only thing that was a bit troubling for myself was the lack of information on the damage deposit. Here on booking.com it does not explain it very well so whilst I had put aside 20 Euros like it said I needed, what it was actually meant to be was 20 Euros per night which ended up causing me to be 140 Euros short during my trip which was meant to be used for food, travel and other things.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, lovely facilities (we enjoyed the giant chess board after a few drinks), excellent air con as it was very warm in Utrecht the weekend we were there, quiet in the rooms and good entertainment set up where you can link your phone to the TV. It's in a great location slightly away from the centre but still with lots of bars, restaurants etc nearby.

The only minor points are they could utilise the space in the rooms a little better for where to put your stuff. It looks good aesthetically but it's not particularly practical (e.g. No coat hooks), better shower head and extra pillows. It wouldn't put me off staying here again though as I had such a lovely time and it's in a great location.

The location was lovely, sitting right next to both a canal and a small train station which helped greatly with moving luggage. The facilities were very clean and the food was great. The selection of games and books dotted around the lounge and bar areas were a lovely touch - especially the giant chess board.

There were two occasions where we paid with cash and were short-changed - the second time the team member explained they had run out of change. Nearly every night there was loud music - we couldn't discern what song was playing but we could always hear and feel the bass around the room - we suspect it may have been the events venue next door to the hotel but we can't confirm this. If the noise came from the venue next door, this is not the fault of the hotel, but it was still unpleasant to have the room vibrating until 5am on Saturday morning. There were several occasions where we heard a loud whistling noise in our room, which we believe may have been produced by the shower in the room above.

Hotel located not in the center of the city but I think that's an advantage as there are still plenty of options for restaurants and bars in the vicinity - and it is located at the canal providing calmness. I liked the hotel decorations, and the room, which had a tiny but nice bathroom. The breakfast is very good, but nothing special, it offers extended options. The lobby offers a great place to unwind at the very end of the day. Bike rental is available which is very useful.

Bikes should be checked more frequently. There could be an option for the guests to choose a bike before rental. Staff could have been nicer, explaining the options (eg. price of the breakfast is a bit better if it is booked for the whole stay), providing more information.

Well worth the money. * The dinner option at the lobby restaurant was also very good although a little pricey and not a lot of options to choose from, the food was great. along with the alcohol bar, I'd say go for it if you want to spare traveling to find a good place to eat (try the ribs). * Room was kept clean everyday, we had a mess of clothes everywhere and the staff ignore it while cleaning they go around it so keep that in mind * Smart TV that lets you stream content from your phone with ease * can open room windows (very important) * quite a quiet area

Location near the canal and tram stop is great. Nice food and drink. Handy for dinner when we arrived later than planned. Well sound inuslated rooms. Nice quiet location. Friendly staff.

Building site at the back woke me up every morning. I should have asked to change rooms but I didn't think of it at the time. (The sound insulation was good - but I'm a light sleeper) The music in the bar was too loud for me in the evening - but it was lovely outside - again, I should have thought to ask them to turn it down but didn't think of it.

Impeccable decoration, very clean and well-organized room with plenty of space and a beautiful view of the canal. The breakfast was excellent, with many options. The hotel itself is truly charming and has an amazing atmosphere. The location is perfect, 10 minutes walk to the city centre, just a 2-minute walk from the train station, making it really easy to reach the airport, and other equally charming cities in the Netherlands. Everything was perfect, and if I return to Utrecht, I would definitely stay at the Moxy again.

The warm welcome by the staff members and friendly, personal attention! The hotel was decorated very festively due to the Christmas season. I enjoyed the meals, especially the elaborate breakfast.

At my check-out I mentioned the temperature in my room being 23 degrees. I tried to switch it to 18 degrees I'm accustomed to at home, which could not be done. The 26th of December is called the 2nd day of Christmas in the Netherlands and part of a 2- day holiday. The catering staff wasn't informed of this, regarding the breakfast hrs!

Very nice room, a good size with a lovely bathroom. Comfortable beds and close to public transportation (trains, buses). About twenty minutes walk from the town center, but close to the Twijnstraat with cafes and restaurants, supermarkets etc.

In the lobby very loud music: I am not a fan. We were a bit unfortunate that we had people in the room next to us (or on the next floor, in any case close by) who started arguing with each other (very loudly) at 1.30 at night and continued for half an hour or so. When the hotel is not fully booked, I don't understand why guests aren't spread out a bit more, so no-one is disturbed by someone else...

We really were overall pleased with our stay at the Moxy. It was clearly designed for younger generation in mind but great for us older parents too. It was centrally located to the city of Utrecht and easy to take the tram or bus to the train station. Staff was helpful and we liked the modern "vibe" of the lounge area of the hotel. Hotel room was SUPER clean and a good breakfast. We will definitely return We liked the view of the canal from our room window too!

We had some problems with our door closing properly but the hotel accommodated and worked on fixing it without having to move us.
