The room is very nicely decorated, modern, cozy and clean. Everything worked out easily with the online check in and electronic key. Air conditioning was a plus. Comfortable beds. Location is very central.

Not the hotels fault, but the hotel is located close to the church and dom tower. On our first night the church clock chimed every 15 minutes! There was a louder bang on each full hour and a smaller chime every 15 minutes. I do not know if it was a special occasion or if this happens every Friday-Saturday night. Luckily on other nights the church bell did not go off. On the weekend it seemed to be completely quiet but then on Monday and Tuesday morning it started going off at 8am and then at every hour. Also the stay was expensive, but so was everything else during this peak time in April. This was the best value for money we could find.

A lovely room, well equipped, in a fantastic location, right in the old town. The bed was huge and really comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and the mini bar was well stocked with soft drinks. The instructions to access the room were clear and simple. Some reviews have complained about the stairs, they are steep and if you aren't able bodied, they would be a problem as there is no lift. Personally I quite enjoyed them, they're authentically steep for an old Dutch town. To access the hotel and rooms you need a smart phone, the system worked absolutely fine, my only slight concern was the battery running out or losing my phone.

As I said, if your phone runs out of battery or you lose it, it could prove problematic. There is a number you can call for assistance but that would be difficult without a phone.

Nice amenities with nespresso and tea maker. Excellent and central location. Very comfortable and large bed. Modern.

After seeing open rooms while we were checking out (cleaners were busy), and also comparing what we saw online, it is clear we were given the booking.com room - not nearly as nice but still ok. We were in the attic and it was a lot of stairs to get there - fine for us but there was no warning and it would be an issue if you are physically less able. The bathroom was incredibly small - especially to get past or in and out of the shower. Barely any Nespresso pods, and no still water as promised. Check in process was confusing but once sorted, it was all fine.

This place is lovely. Staff was absolutely lovely too. Light didn't work in bathroom when I arrived, staff took care of that straight away. Even left a spare battery light to use incase it happened again during the night. It didn't, lights were fine then. Mini fridge was nice. Bed was very comfy. Everything was nice and clean. Bathroom was stylish and even had a frosted glass window as a door. Don't worry you can't see through it. We tested that 🤣 There are plates with knives and forks to use. Little shampoo, conditioner and shower gel there too, and a nice smelling bar of soap. Clean white towels. Place was quite and in a great location. Only like a 10 minute walk from utrecht train station.

Only negative thing I can pick at is having to use my phone to be able to open the main door and my room door. As first I thought this is great, which it is. But it made me very mindful of my phone battery when I was sightseeing and taking photos of utrecht. Realising I only have 10% battery left on my phone made me fearful and return back to my room to make sure I could get in my room. Then having to stay in my room while it charged and couldnt just leave my phone on charge while I went for a beer or food. Because I needed my phone to get back into the building when I return.

The bed was great, good pillows too. Loved that you could make tea and coffee in the morning before going out. Really lovely people down at the shop that let us leave our luggage there both before and after our stay.

Not very sound proof door to the staircase, one could hear a lot of the neighbours coming and going. Wish there were more accessible outlets for phone charging.

Easy checkin & access (but be aware you need a device with internet to access it), great central location, cleanliness, cozyness, very calm location.

The bathroom door is made of glass which provides a visual barrier but not a noise barrier. Thin walls if you have loud neighbors. The stairs inside are really narrow and steep (no elevator access, tedious if you have heavy luggage).

The room was of great size with a very comfortable bed. The shower had good water pressure despite being located on the top floor. I really appreciated that the hotel provided earplugs for the stay cause without them I wouldn't have slept a minute. The room was very well equipped

The room was facing the church tower with bells which kept tolling every 15mins. Not ideal if you are hoping for a good night's rest or can't wear earplugs. The stairs to the rooms are extremely steep, I couldn't imagine myself carrying a heavy suitcase up to the top floor!

Cozy Pillow was very good. In the centre of historic Utrecht, so could go for a rest in afternoons. Spielkas museum right across the hotel. Everywhere is easily walkable. Room was modern,comfortable, with modern, big bathroom and a outside patio which we enjoyed. The vitual key entrance to room and hotel worked excelent. You need wifi though. We could leave our luggage after check out in the shop attached to hotel. Photos on site is a true reflection.

The stairs to the room was very steep. Normal for old buildings. You need good balance to get up and down there with a suitcase. It was well lit.

The location was perfect and the room was very clean and cute.

The traditional stairs to the room were very beautiful but very steep. It was fine for us, but definitely not ideal for elderly guests or guests carrying heavy luggage or a child. Although we were on the topmost floor, the street noise was loud and the church carry-on plays every 15 minutes through the night. The room was equipped with two pairs of individually wrapped ear plugs which were necessary.

The room at Cosy Pillow is not only spacious and well-arranged but also remarkably quiet, offering a serene atmosphere for a relaxing stay. Situated right in the heart of charming Utrecht's town center, the boutique hotel enjoys proximity to an array of bars, restaurants, and shops, making it an ideal location for exploring the vibrant surroundings. One standout highlight for me was the exceptional breakfast experience at Anne & Max. The breakfast, cooked fresh and served with a smile, stands out as one of the best I've ever had at a hotel. This alone makes a stay at Cosy Pillow memorable. Given the overall positive experience, I am looking forward to booking a night at Cosy Pillow on my next visit to Utrecht.

it's worth noting that the stairs are quite narrow.
