The location was inside the big mall, and very close to the city center (less than 10 minutes). Good breakfast, facilities, good wifi, everyday room cleaning.

The sound isolation. Between our and the neighbouring room was internal door, which was closed, but our neighbours wanted to discover how to open them and it was very scary especially when their curiosity was so strong in the middle of the night. Another thing is that I would not recommend you to check in the middle of the night as we did, because it is very unsafe. Near the entrance to the hotel and to the mall there are many drunk and drug addicted people who would try to enter inside the hotel with you (that what happened with us). We were very scared and unfortunately this situation really affected the first impression.

A really good breakfast, normal variety of food and drinks. A perfect location - in a city center. Hotel is located in the big shopping mall what also helps in case you need to buy food, to eat or else. There is a set for tea/coffee in the room and a hairdryer in the bathroom.

The hotel is near the railway station, so it is quite noisy at night. The room lacks light, I would say it is too dark. There are also no shelves or a normal place to store clothes, but there is an iron in the room... The bathroom has the same problem - there is no place to put cosmetics, to dry a towel or put other things, poor lighting for make-up.

One of the Staff member was very rude. There was no information in the room about the time breakfast is served. As I arrived on Saturday, I thought the breakfast time is the same but learned that the time is different for weekdays. Later the staff at reception promised that the breakfast would be served in my room and waited for one hour but when I went down and asked the reception he told me he manager didn’t agree. When I asked him why he didn’t inform me that, he has no word. Moreover such information should available in the room so that guests make informed decisions when to have their breakfast. We don’t have to roam around to seek out information.

Very clean and the staff were lovely . The location was great as arrived by train - couldn’t be easier. Close to the centre. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of choice.

Disappointed that I had requested no feather pillows as I have an allergy. The hotel had responded that they could oblige, but on getting to the room I had to phone down to ask for non feather ones. They apologised and said sorry it was on their system but they’d bring some others up. The very nice receptionist brought two pillows (which were awful) and said they only had two ,which my husband had to share with me ! In a big hotel I would expect better pillows ! I hardly slept as my pillow was so bad …

Great location right across from Utrecht train station in a large shopping centre. Reception is one floor up and after check in you use your room key to operate the lift from then on - clearly signposted in shopping centre. Breakfast very good but can be very busy as a large hotel - good range of foods etc. Breakfast room at Reception is also the bar at night which is excellent for a late night drink to sit and look down on the centre and all the people coming and going to and from the station. You can get bottled water or glasses of water / ice at Reception at night. Extremely close to the city centre - leave by the opposite side of the centre you came in from - immediately into a square which has a market and then only 1-2 minutes to the main canals.

The first night when we came back into the centre security men were having some problems with young men and had closed off access on the normal way we went to the hotel and were closing down the escalators on that side so we had to go back to the ground floor and around another side (had to ask the security men where to go). Went that alternative way the second night and no issues - its very busy with people going to the train station from the city so quite safe just a bit strange

I was able to check in early. The room had view of Don Tower. Great lighting in bathroom, LED mirror, good dryer, very good luggage storage and closet with hangers. The bedside table had enough space for cell phone, cup, Kindle, etc (important!) and the room’s temperature control was good and easy to set up. Towels were not the thin type and they have washcloths. Plenty of table top space in room for purse, day pack, etc. Wifi is solid, stayed connected the entire 4 days, did not have to repeat login. The cover of the huge glass mall was fortunate since it rained much of the time and there are 20+ restaurants within. The hotel breakfast offering was extensive, staff would appear instantly to refill items or help with questions. The train station is right outside and the outdoor plaza between hotel and station is covered. One of the mall exits lands you right in Old Town Utrecht - great location.

Soap and lotion were too strongly scented, perfume-y. I didn't get the wake up call I requested or a printed receipt when I arrived or when I left; the printers both not working! Staff were helpful but not particularly friendly; they don't go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome; they do their jobs.

Lovely, helpful staff on reception. The staff in the breakfast area were very polite and helpful too.

The room was small and cramped. The glass door in the bathroom was really annoying because it let light out whenever it was on. There was only one hook in the bathroom which meant that things including the towel had to be put on the floor . The floor wasn't clean in the corners either. The breakfast food area was too small which led to queues from the start. It felt very like a school cafeteria with the trays. The selection of food was poor and both the serving and the taste of the hot drinks was dreadful.

All that I expect from a Hampton. Wildly convenient to everything. All interactions with staff were easy and they were quickly responsive. Fantastic breakfasts (almost worth coming back just for the breakfast). I found Utrecht simply charming and accessible across the board. Great experience here.

Maybe a mini fridge would have been nice. You can hear adjacent rooms doors slam (and feel the vibrations-but that may have just been one nearby guest, it was noticeable but not a big deal) and curtains open/close, but strangely enough nothing else.

It has very kind employees,well-kept and modern designed spaces,very clean,i can say everything shinning,absolutely quiet and a very nice modern and simple entry-exit security system.The top for me,is the breakfast,everything you could want to eat and drink is available at the buffet in abundant quantity and of great quality.We enjoyed the perfect matress and pillows,once you lay down you body feels like you are at cloud and relax!Last the bathroom is gorgeus and provides you with a relaxing feeling of calm.

The basic for me is that i would like to have extra blankets to use,standard in each room so not to have to ask for them in case of need(which i needed but i didn't asked though).The heat is programmed to go only till 22 degrees and it makes all the time a very small sound like woo-woo-woo.The bedside table next to the bathroom is too small,it needs one more shelf.The trash can at the bathroom was very small and there is no brush for the toilet.Last the absense of fridge makes things a bit difficult.

Clean, good towels, toiletries and linen. Small problem with AC sorted out very quickly by helpful maintenance technician, he even left complimentary chocolate! Bed very comfortable and room service reliable. Nice breakfast, all fresh and good choice of continental, cooked items, pastries and even a waffle maker. Would definitely stay again, and recommend.

Was a bit tricky getting back into hotel later on in evening as entrance is inside a shopping centre, which lowered security gates, restricting access via one door. Not hotels fault, but a separate entrance would be better.
