Breakfast was very good - but too much! We could have easily shared one platter between us. It would be good to have a choice of a small breakfast. The staff were lovely, always very helpful and willing.

There was no housekeeping in our room after the first night. There was no butter on our breakfast tray one morning and I had to go down to reception to find someone. Some of the room facilities were too high - I couldn't reach the safe without standing on a chair, I felt unsafe doing so, and had difficulty getting up and back down. I also had to stand on a chair to see the AC controls properly and to read the instructions initially. I also had to stand on the bed to pull the blind down in the velux window above the bed.

The Hunfeld is a stunning hotel. The room I stayed in was beautiful - very nicely presented, all the fittings were of an extremely high standard. Very comfortable bed. A lovely view into Mariaplaats. The staff were brilliant. I was supposed to arrive at about 5 pm, but due to a cancelled flight I arrived at 3 am the following morning. The man at reception was so helpful, and it seemed his main concern was getting my to my room and settled with as little fuss as possible - a big thank you to him.

I’ve had a pleasant stay in The Hunfeld, Utrecht! It was very easy to reach from Centraal station - only 7-8 min walk. People on the reception are so friendly and helpful. Hotel was very well designed, bed was so so comfortable i did not wanna leave 😅 - i was sceptical about the sink being seperated from bathroom & toilet but the cosy and classy design made it a great part of the room. There’s an elevator, complimentary coffee and tea, hair dryer and even a marshall bluetooth speaker in the room. Totally recommend it and wanna be back again! Thanks The Hunfeld Team <3

Stepping into our room at The Hunfeld in Utrecht was like entering a slice of urban paradise. Tucked in the heartbeat of the city, our stay was framed by panoramic windows that opened up to the vibrant life of Utrecht. The chill-out zone, surrounded by glass, offered a perfect nook for sipping coffee while soaking in the city’s dynamic pulse. The room itself was a harmonious blend of comfort and style, with plush bedding inviting restful nights after days spent exploring. The Hunfeld is more than just a hotel; it’s an experience that captures the essence of city living with impeccable grace. Highly recommended for those looking to immerse themselves in the cool city center vibes!

The location was great, right in the centre of the old town, five minutes walk from the Dom Tower and close to all restaurants, museums, shops and bars and also just a ten minute walk from the railway station. It was a spacious room with an enormous comfy bed, and right at the front of the building - we loved our huge windows looking over the square. We also liked the friendly staff who welcomed us with a warm smile every time we passed the reception desk.

It was such a lovely big room that it could have easily fitted a decent sized desk or dressing table, but instead there was just a tiny round coffee table on which for us to balance all our general paraphernalia (books, laptop, makeup, hair brush, mirror, etc etc - we were there for a week so had quite a lot!) Also, we would have benefitted from a few more clothes hangers in the wardrobe.

This is my 3rd time at the Hunfeld. I love staying here for a few main reasons: incredible location in old town with a very cozy vibe, very close to Centraal station which is perfect for day trips in and out of Utrecht, and it has a unique boutique-styled hotel with lots of charm in the details. It’s a beautiful hotel worth its price.

There are a few small issues: the rooms have no mini fridge to keep your drinks or food cold, no trash bin other than a tiny one in the toilet and shower area, and there is a strange unpleasant smell coming in and out of the hotel lobbies (rooms are all fine but common areas have a strong musty smell). Adding at least a medium sized trash bin in the room would be a quick but necessary improvement. Finally, some of the towels needed better bleaching as one could see stained areas when they’re damp.

location was perfect and people at the check in desk were always smiling and helpful. we stayed at the top floor apartment and it was very spacious. I can't say anything about the hotel's breakfast, since I didn't have it.

there wasn't anything negative. but, a sponge for washing the dishes in the kitchen would be good. there is a dishwasher and there were tablets, but I'm not the kind of person who likes using the machine just for a handful of dishes.

The hotel has a charming design that harks back to the early 20th century, capturing the style of gentlemen yet incorporating modern elements. The lobby space on each floor is well-designed, and it boasts a great location with beautiful surroundings. We were disappointed that the rooms on the upper floor didn't have as nice a view as we expected from the photos, but we understand that the more affordable rooms are built into the roof, and there are different options available. We appreciated the pleasant breakfast area and the option to check in later at night.

The location was perfect - in the heart of town (very near the Dom) but only a short walk from the central station. Staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly offered me an upgraded room at no extra charge

The breakfast, which I ordered on the second day of my stay was fine, but I found something similar the previous day at a local cafe which was a little better and a little cheaper.

The position is very central and also close to the train station and shops. The staff did their best to make me feel welcome. The interior has been refurbished with attention to detail and a overall vintage feeling.

The day of my stay there was a party in the square with loud music until 10.45pm (not the hotel’s fault but if this is a concern to you, check the calendar of events).
