The location was fantastic! It’s only a 20 minute train trip from the Naarden-Bussum station into Amsterdam Central station, in the heart of Amaterdam. The location is about 2.2 km from the station, to which we drove and parked for 6 euro for the whole day. The neighborhood was quiet and very safe. Everyone there was friendly. Annette, who greeted us on the first day was so nice, she even went as far as to give us a lift to the train station when we started to walk. Breakfast was outstanding and the girl who prepared it for us was very friendly and spoke great English, to our benefit.

A couple of minor things. We stayed in the attic apartment, which was spacious and comfortable, but we were only able to lock the bedroom door, the rest of the apartment could not be secured, due to the requirement to leave it unlocked for fire regulations. We felt a little uncomfortable leaving anything of value outside of the bedroom, though it was our space to use, because anyone staying on the property could access the upstairs if they know you’re away. Also, though it is not a big issue, the shower door leaks a bit out the bottom and we found ourselves having to use towels to keep it from leaking onto the bathroom floor. Other than these couple of things, we enjoyed our stay very much!

This is a perfect apartment with all facilities available for a comfortable stay. We were disappointed to only be staying for one night. The hostess, Saskia, is extremely welcoming and thoughtful, providing us with delicious cake on our arrival. The fridge was stocked too with some cold beverages as well as tea and coffee being provided. The breakfast choices covered all possibilities for a tasty, filling continental breakfast.

I am not a pet person, but the owners dog was only a small friendly spaniel so this wasn't an issue.

This was one of the best experiences, making this trip one of my favorites. I wish to start with the host, Saskia. She was incredibly kind and polite, and her attitude, attention, and hospitality were beyond our expectations. The place is magical, with the best view and vibe possible. It’s equipped with everything you could need, truly feeling like home. And the bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in—it was hard to leave it each morning! I would absolutely stay here again.

Our stay at room one two one was totally perfect. Saskia was the best host we could have wished for and bow the dog was really charming too. The breakfast was excellent and set you up for the day. Rooms are very well equipped and to the highest standards. Also the motorised beds are really comfy giving you a great nights sleep. Overall our stay here was fantastic and we wish Saskia and bow all the very best. Thankyou.

Having to leave on our last day.

Breakfast menu was extensive with choices from fresh fruit, breads, eggs, cold cuts, and cooked oats. My host, Saskia, cooked everything fresh! I ate in the main dining room in relative peace with view of the garden. Parks, historical buildings & stores were just outside the location. Room had extra features such as candles, stocked bar fridge, free hot chocolate, tea, coffee, lavender soaps, and shampoo.

The shower switch was broken and I had to contact host to figure out how to get it to work. Otherwise, I had no problems with the room.

From beginning to end, an absolutely amazing experience. An incredible homely and cozy feel with rich history. Rooms were spacious and very well presented. This felt like a 5 star hotel. Easy access to the town centre and parking just at the back of the house. Hosts were super kind and breakfast was outstanding. Do yourself a favour - if you’re looking for a place close to Amsterdam, but with a slower pace and incredible accomodation, book now. You won’t regret it.

Totally beautiful and comfortable place, perfect in every way. Large light room overlooking the square in this lovely old small town. Very well equipped (eg good charging plugs, fan, nice coffee machine, fridge etc). beautiful patio surrounded by trees and flowers for excellent breakfast. Incredibly helpful hosts…. all in all, just wonderful! The train station (25 min to Amsterdam) is a very pleasant 25 min walk away, or you can get an Uber, or if they are free, our hosts very kindly offered a lift. Thank you Saskia and family for making our stay so wonderful! Look forward to returning..

Absolutely nothing!

Everything! The comfort of the bed, the beautiful balcony (even if we didn't get to use it because of the poor weather), the spacious bathroom with a great shower (and the very nice products provided), the fantastic breakfast (lots of choices every day), the calm, welcoming atmosphere, the charming decor, having the lovely village of Naarden at your doorstep to explore - but most of all? Erik and Saskia are the ultimate hosts - looking after your every need and making you feel like old friends!

Well ....... the charm of the upper apartment does come with very steep stairs with a narrow tread - but this is clearly noted in their information about the unit. Not a problem for us, but not suited for someone with mobility issues.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely bed and breakfast. The room was spacious, had lots of lovely touches, we found the bed/pillows very comfortable, the shower was great. We loved Naarden, the location was perfect for us, the view from our room was gorgeous. Breakfast each morning was also very delicious and plentiful. We would definitely stay here again, thank you for a lovely stay.

What a fabulous B&B! Everything was perfect! The room was big and beautiful, big windows overlooking a small park with a pond and fountain. Very comfortable furniture. A small fridge with complimentary wine and beer. Coffee and tea. Breakfast the following morning was delicious, so much choice. We had breakfast in our room but you can also have it downstairs in the garden. I have been traveling for 9 weeks in Europe and this was definitely my favourite accommodation. The town, well preserved fortress, is lovely and very interesting.
