A wonderful place to stay and experience from start to finish. From a super friendly welcome (even though we arrived quite late in the night), to a pre-heated room to all the little touches throughout which showed that attention and thought has been given to the guest experience. Loved the decor, the spaciousness and the room had everything we needed. The fridge was nice and quiet too which is rare in these sorts of rooms. Very comfortable, highly recommend. We'll definitely be staying here again when we are in the area.

Absolutely nothing we didn't like.

This was hands down the nicest accomodation of our trip and a shame that we couldn’t stay longer! From the welcome we received on arrival to every small detail. Room was huge and has absolutely everything you need ( microwave, kettle, toaster, cooking pan). The small kitchen even had an electric cooking pan so you can cook a proper meal, the fridge was stocked with a small milk for coffees, and there were cookies on the shelf! The bed was super king so it was huge and very comfortable. They even had turned the heater on before we arrived so the room was warm. There’s a cute outdoor veranda at the back of the room which would be lovely to enjoy breakfast or dinner. Location is minutes from the town centre. And the place is so peaceful and quiet.

We were delayed in checking in until after midnight due to a car crash blocking the road on a state highway. After ringing the owner and explaining he was so helpful and facilitated our late arrival. He had turned on the heating in the room so nice and cozy when we got there. He had supplied biscuits for us as well. Nothing was a problem. The next morning although we prepared to checkout he said because of our late arrival we could have a late check out at no extra cost. We had places to be so didn't take up the offer but that was a brilliant thing to have offered. Very considerate. Room was very comfortable. Bed super comfy. Quiet place to stay. Parking good.

Shower great but could be a bit bigger - but this did not detract from the overall excellent experience.

Owners very friendly, Made you feel welcome from the get go. The Unit I stayed in ( Unit 6 ) was well laid out with alot more space than I expected from booking online. Milk already in the fridge with a couple of welcome choc chip cookies. Unit seemed to have been recently updated & very clean. Back door opened up to the outside under cover pavillion with seating & bar leaners & a BBQ. Definitely stay there again & highly recommend :-)

Personally couldn't fault anything at all.

We enjoyed the black and white decor with art on the walls and lots of little touches to improve our stay. We spent more time in the unit than we expected because we didn't expect Geraldine to be closed on a Thursday night - a disappointing lack of things to do, so appreciated our accommodation even more.

We had no complaints about this motel - really well equipped and with a friendly helpful host.

The owner was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location is perfect, off the main road and nestled in a gorgeous lush tropical setting. We loved the wine barrel in the outdoor BBQ area, which we would have used if it had been warmer weather. We loved the little back door at the back of the unit that looked out onto lush greenery. We really loved the high architecturally designed ceilings and the colour scheme. We also really liked the landscaping. Everything was beautifully tidy and well manicured.

I was welcomed by John and made to feel as if I were his favorite and expected guest. The privacy and beauty of my room was a gift.

I mentioned the dangerous 1.5” ledge at the entrance to each room, suggesting a reflective paint or tape be placed to warn others of the hazard - after I tripped and fell headlong over it, into the room (with minimal injury, thankfully!)

Geraldine is a very cute town and the motel is located very conveniently if you plan to stay here. There is a river walk nearby that we liked and there are stores if you need anything. We stayed only 1 night and left early so we didn’t get to check out the cafes. Thank you to John for wishing us a Merry Christmas by keeping some sweets in the rooms. It was very thoughtful! We enjoyed our stay!

Owners were very friendly, and helpful. The site was easy to find. Car parking right outside the room. Clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Easy walk into the town for dinner. After staying in a number of motels throughout the South Island this was outstandingly the best, and the best value for money, in a fabulous little town. Would definitely highly recommend. Perfect!

Friendly welcome, late checkout allowed. Good location for exploring Geraldine - friendly dog! Guest laundry available. Not found in other stays. Well kept garden and seating areas and everything necessary was provided in the units.

Older building, so sound proofing between rooms not too good. Could have done with power socket on both sides of the bed. No electric blanket either, although summer and not needed - but have been available in most other places.
