Excellent facilities with a large part of the house available to guests with the host living in the remainder of the house, and left guests to their own space. However host was available and very helpful. Good space for storing and charging e-bike.

The accommodation was at the top of a hill overlooking Geraldine so that was a surprise for cycling guests after a long hard day! Entrance to the guest bedroom was through a porch which acted as a dog's home which some people may not like.

Hostess was awesome and friendly.An amazing example of hospitality. The home made treats were a bonus as well as the offer to heat croissants in the oven after specifically going out to buy them. I decided after more thought to decline the continental breakfast and opted to move on and have a cooked breakfast at our destination in Tekapo. The effort to accommodate and the extra touches were much appreciated. Will An interesting and beautiful home and garden. Extremely relaxing venue.Will definitely be back

Felt awkward leaving dirty dishes after take outs with no facilities to clean them.

Amazing place to stay. The bedroom is beautiful, big comfy bed and you have exclusive use of a huge lounge and breakfast room with everything set out so you can help yourselves! Julie provides homemade treats to have for afternoon tea and little chocolates etc the bathroom and shower are great and there's even bath robes to use. We loved it 😁 There's no provision for cooking but we got a takeaway and Julie gave us plates etc and did the washing up! There's also 2 recommended restaurants in the village. We arrived in Geraldine expecting a basic overnight stay but this place is the best we've been to yet!!

Everything was perfect and more! What a lovely surprise this place is! We felt very well looked after, breakfast was delicious (with home-made muesli!), cozy and clean. We had our own bedroom, full bathroom, lounge and breakfast room. Julie is a fantastic host, kind, thoughtful and the place is decorated with many incredible details. Beautiful garden right outside your bedroom, the most comfortable bed we ever slept in and close to all town amenities.

That we only stayed for one night ❤️. Loved it!

What a lovely B&B in Geraldine! The bedroom was nice but the beds was fantastic, so comfortable. We had access to a sitting/living room and two porches. The yard is beautiful with loads of gardens. You really felt like you were a guest in a home. Breakfast was good with juice, coffee, tea, toast, yogurt and cereal. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful property. The owner has gone to extraordinary lengths to create a charming and welcoming environment for her guests. It was great to soak in the bath after our long trip in NZ and the bed was very comfortable. The surrounding gardens are tranquil. Mason the greyhound was a friendly and gentle co-host. We would definitely recommend a stay at Hewlings Manor.

Julie was an amazing host, so friendly and welcoming. The house and garden was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and so were the little snacks she provided. She, and Mason the dog, made us feel at home and we would happily stay with her again the next time we are in Geraldine. I can highly recommend Hewling's Manor as a great place to stay.

This was a very last minute booking and Julie was In touch almost immediately with key collection information. [Very reassuring as we were already 'on the road'.] As soon as we walked into the garden and then into the house, we knew we'd picked something special. Add Julie into the equation and we knew we'd got it right. Julie is kindness personified. Nothing is too much trouble for her. We felt privileged to share her lovely home..

Nothing not to like

Julie is such a warm hearted woman, who does everything for her guest. It was so fantastic, almost everything is perfect. Had a super delicious breakfast ( I adore that bitter Marmelade), a nice bathroom for my own, a gorgous porch and could use a part of the beautiful garden as well. What a paradise.

There are some spiderwebs on the outdoor furnitures. Therefore I cannot - according to another accommodation- give a 10. I. would give 9,5 points.

Julie’s place was simply divine , from the moment you walk through the manicured gardens to your amazingly beautiful room with outside verandah , keep going down the hallway to a very charming lounge and breakfast room to relax and enjoy your stay , we thoroughly appreciated all the little things Julie has done to make your stay one to remember 😊
