The Tamuka Motel is centrally placed in Tamuka, the rooms were very clean with everything you require on hand while the staff are so friendly and helpfull. I do recommend this Motel.

The Wifi let this Motel down badly you are given 1 Gig which when you are trying to run a business while on holiday is very inadequate this and the fact that the owner knew the signal was very weak, you find yourself walking around the room waving your phone in the air a lot to get a signal

Hospitable owners, close to everything you'd ever need. Super clean. Electric blankets were a surprise bonus! If you have time take a short drive from the township out to the nearby coast. You're likely to have the beach to yourself...super atmospheric with the ocean right there, amazing turquoise colour of the water and wild landscape surrounding it

Friendly greeting and helpful staff. We were fortunate to have a new studio unit at the back so noise was not a problem. The amenities were fantastic and the room spacious. Conveniently located to cafes and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Location was fine. The unit was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Price was reasonable.

Two people sleeping on the mattress was a bit uncomfortable. You tended to roll in the middle. The shower step up is a bit hard to negotiate with a bad knee. Reception was closed when we arrived (2.00 p.m.) but I was able to phone for instructions.

Excellent in every way except Monday morning at 4:30 there was unexpected nonstop noisy traffic that continued till we left at 9 30. Unexpected cause motel was not on SH1 which was a number of streets over.

The outside light for the stairs was on all night, perhaps a sensor light fitted would be better and it only came on when guest was using the stairs . so it didn't make our bedroom so bright for sleeping

Friendly, very helpful staff. Unit was very clean and comfortable. An older business, with new owners working on upgrading. Location..handy to town.

Single glazing with concrete walls so can get chilly and noisy during the daytime but heaters worked well.

We did not have breakfast as we went back to friends. But everything was just lovely

We used the motel as a stopover on our way to Christchurch and it was ideal for that. Staff very friendly.

We did find the unit a bit noisy but that is to be expected as it was close to the road. Next time we would get one of the units at the rear of the property.
