The staff on reception was very friendly and helpful, he resolved a booking issue and got everything sorted without any drama whatsoever. The hotel was located on the main road, so easy access to the rest of Timaru and out to the highway when leaving. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to discuss where your room is located as one side is exposed to the road traffic, Lots of parking, so easy for them to accommodate large vehicles if necessary. Menu in the restaurant looked great but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to try a meal there.

No air con, but the room did have a ceiling fan.

Love love love this place ❤️ oh the smell of our room Was delicious 🤤 our room was beautiful! Comfy bed this place is great! Easy to walk to and from town! We also used the taxi service the staff recommended and oh my gosh they were the most lovely taxi drivers I’ve ever met ❤️

Staff were so friendly when we arrived it was early and we were allowed to check in our room had just been cleaned. The staff always said good morning and greeted you with a smile I would highly recommend and we will be back close to the bay .thank you

We were close to the street, and the traffic was so noisy unable to open window and doors because of this. We had a family suite would have been nice to have a microwave in it.

Location was 👍 Room.was value for money. Great shower. A little out dated but the bed was comfortable. I would probably take out the single bed and replace it with a table and chairs or even a leaner and stools...great view too

Staff were wonderful, I messed up the booking arrived a day early, but they sorted it we stayed an extra day ,great restaurant prices were good one of the best meals so yummy.The lass on the front was excellent bonus needed there.

the butterchicken was very good, loved how we were on the main street and had a balcony, had our own bathroom.

the beds weren’t that comfortable, somewhat hard. there was no microwave so i couldn’t heat up my leftovers

THIS COMMENT IS FOR THE NEXT QUESTION: Our room was located on an end which had our balcony looking onto a grotty filthy area and the same grot was down below our balcony. We paid extra for a balcony but certainly NEVER used it. We took photos and considered complaining to management but we had unpacked our bags and didn't want to have to move to another room if one was offered. That Room 51 should not be rented as having a balcony. No one in their right mind would choose to sit next to and look at that grotty area. It was a cheeky ripoff.

A great location being an easy walk to the town centre and the bay. The rooms are very comfortable. Showers are hot and great pressure.

There can be a lot of traffic noise from the street.

Having a ground floor room. Great having a restaurant which meant we didn't need to go away from our accommodation which really suited us. Nice staff and good food 👍

Maybe getting the door open was a bit tricky!!
