This property is well located just a few minutes walk from the shops, cafes and restaurants. It is a lovely quiet private location and the hosts Sue and John made us feel most welcome. There is easy parking and a flat entrance path. The bed was comfortable and there was a good shower. The highlight of the stay was the breakfast as we departed. We had a lovely continental breakfast with fresh brewed coffee. The hosts joined us and we shared a lovely half hour of conversation. We would definitely stay again when we are in Geraldine.

A comfortable family home set in park like surroundings and strategically close to the town centre. After a warm welcome from Sue we enjoyed relaxing in the guest lounge and became absorbed by some of the carefully chosen reading material. Our lasting memories will be of warm conversations and deep sharing around the breakfast table with John and Sue and their genuine hospitality. Stopping here for one night has been a highlight of our S. Island holiday.

John and Sue were lovely, it felt like being at home away from home. On the property there is a cat named Bas that greeted me everytime I went out and even waited by the gate when I was finally leaving… The bed was super comfortable with a pretty view of the garden. John’s breakfast was amazing too! The place is also very close to the main area of Geraldine- great place if you want to walk around and explore the town.

We were welcomed into John and Sue's home and made to feel like part of the family. We had plenty of space to ourselves - a bedroom, sitting area, spacious bathroom with both bath and shower as well as our own private outdoor sitting area. Sue is also a wonderful cook and breakfasts were a real treat! The house is less than a 5 minute walk from Geraldine's High Street and restaurants but wonderfully quiet.

There was nothing we could improve. Oldfields is a wonderful find in a country where accommodation tends to be dominated by motels.

Absolutely superb! Sue and John couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Our room looked out on a lovely tranquil garden setting, the perfect place to relax in the afternoon sun with a wine and a book! Our area included a separate lounge and bedroom which was really comfy. But the jewel in the crown was Sue's delicious cooked breakfast. You wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Geraldine.

This cosy space was delightful in every way. Everything was perfect. We were made to feel very welcome as John greeted us and showed us to our room. Bed had gorgeous linen and was very comfy. Lots of little extra touches like dressing gowns and slippers. Wifi worked well. Garden was beautiful and peaceful and had outdoor furniture. Parking was easy. It was a quick walk from the centre of town, via a park and walk bridge. Breakfast was served in main part of house and Sue made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Sue and John were lovely company and knew lots about their area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Very welcoming, lovely sitting area inside and out, very comfortable bed and bathroom was spacious and lots of hot water. Breakfast was delicious Very warm welcome from John and Sue. We had a lovely breakfast chat and would love to have stayed longer. If you are in the area please we would highly recommend staying, lovely hosts.

We had only booked one night

We were happy to stay with Sue and John at their well appointed home. The space that we lived in was impeccable beautiful gardens surrounded our stay an easy walk to town to eat. in the morning breakfast was magnificent and our conversation was engaging and interesting. It was an excellent choice for us to stay on our journeys across the southern island.

Sue and John were exceptional hosts and made us feel super welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was beautiful - especially the jam which Sue had sourced from Adelaide! The property is peaceful and lovely and the bed comfortable and warm. Shower very good and lovely heated tile floor was much appreciated. Thanks Sue and John it was lovely to meet you.

Beautiful welcoming couple who were a delight in every way. Very kind and helpful. Just delightful to have met Sue and John and exchange life experiences with them.

Probably the TV was the problem. We had hoped to read and veg in front of the TV but it was a mission to bring up normal programs and most importantly the news. One evening we were successful, the next day the same navigation process through the channels didn't work. Caused a bit of stress. We gave up in the end. Netflicks is available but didn't interest us.
