Very friendly welcome by owner who escorted to me to my room. The heatpump had been turned on earlier so the unit was already lovely and warm and it stayed that way for the duration of my stay there. The unit was beautifully clean as was bed linen etc. Comfy bed/pillows. Owners are refurbing units and although the couches were showing signs of wear - this was in the process of being done. Still very comfy and clean. Kitchen seemed well equipped including decent sized coffee mugs! I will happily stay there again.

The Tamuka Motel is centrally placed in Tamuka, the rooms were very clean with everything you require on hand while the staff are so friendly and helpfull. I do recommend this Motel.

The Wifi let this Motel down badly you are given 1 Gig which when you are trying to run a business while on holiday is very inadequate this and the fact that the owner knew the signal was very weak, you find yourself walking around the room waving your phone in the air a lot to get a signal

Hospitable owners, close to everything you'd ever need. Super clean. Electric blankets were a surprise bonus! If you have time take a short drive from the township out to the nearby coast. You're likely to have the beach to yourself...super atmospheric with the ocean right there, amazing turquoise colour of the water and wild landscape surrounding it

Friendly greeting and helpful staff. We were fortunate to have a new studio unit at the back so noise was not a problem. The amenities were fantastic and the room spacious. Conveniently located to cafes and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent in every way except Monday morning at 4:30 there was unexpected nonstop noisy traffic that continued till we left at 9 30. Unexpected cause motel was not on SH1 which was a number of streets over.

The outside light for the stairs was on all night, perhaps a sensor light fitted would be better and it only came on when guest was using the stairs . so it didn't make our bedroom so bright for sleeping

Location was fine. The unit was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Price was reasonable.

Two people sleeping on the mattress was a bit uncomfortable. You tended to roll in the middle. The shower step up is a bit hard to negotiate with a bad knee. Reception was closed when we arrived (2.00 p.m.) but I was able to phone for instructions.

We never met the manager but she rang to say which room we’d be in, turned on the light and the heating. It was much appreciated as we were arriving late and appreciated not having to rush.

Super clean, great size apartment with a very comfortable bed! Fantastic facilities for a great stay in a very convenient location

Single glazing with concrete walls so can get chilly and noisy during the daytime but heaters worked well.
