The room was great with lovely decor. The kitchenette was a bonus for us as the weather was cold, so we had one night out and one night where we cooked in the unit. Facilities were great and the communal laundry was a bonus. It would have been amazing if the weather had been better as it had a little outdoor area with seating. We would definitely stay again.

The alignment of the bed was tight and out of sync with the reading lights and there are some small windows that didn't have covers, so the sun shone through in the morning. We are early risers, so it didn't matter to us.

The property was located right along the main beach and within walking distance to all the central attractions and the waterfront. We walked almost everywhere and there were good food options close by. The staff were welcoming and very helpful with advice about local attractions and eateries. The rooms had been recently updated so were fresh and welcoming, with some very nice local artists works on the walls.

Nothing, this property was excellent.

Location to speedway (reason for being there) was perfect. Room had all the cooking facilities required. Staff very courteous and helpful Beds very comfortable over all a pleasant stay

Ants, flies and cockroaches were unwelcome visitors. Fly spray can was empty. Lighting outside the room was non existent. Parking was a problem even though I was assured it was available and easily accessible for car and race car trailer.

Excellent welcome, awesome friendly humorous and informative chat. Was privileged to be upgraded and absolutely loved the room/view. Brilliant location & all that we wanted to do was completed easily and delightfully because of the info received plus more. Thank you for a memorable stay & I will certainly recommend you to others & used you again should I be in Gisbourne again.

Absolutely nothing

We were caught in a cyclone and had to stay 3 extra nights in an unfamiliar town and stuck in our room for the majority of the time (with a newborn) . So we were so glad we picked this motel they were welcoming, clean and had everything you need * free wifi , my partner enjoyed the Sky sports to watch the state of origin and I enjoyed free WiFi aswell as the comfy beds plus aircon was great to keep baby warm during the storm. Thanks for having us.

Cyclone 😅

Location was relatively close to the town centre but in a very quiet neighbourhood. Our unit's car park was directly in front of it which felt very secure and handy for loading and unloading all our stuff. Very clean and well appointed facilities

Tight access to our unit between other unit's car parks and screen fencing of adjoining unit. 3, 4, even 5 point turn to get through the gap.

We were upgraded to Unit 1, which had a fabulous sea view. Everything about our rooms was fabulous. We were warm, comfortable, felt well looked after. Lots of individual homely touches we haven’t found elsewhere. Scott and his staff couldn’t do enough. He suggested going to interact with stingrays and eagle rays in the bay further north. It was a unique wonderful experience.

There was nothing at all that we didn’t like. It was perfect.

Very personable host. Milk came in a little glass bottle. Good selection of tea and coffee. Full kitchen. Close to the beach. Clean and comfortable.

Dated fixtures in the kitchen. Not as sound-proof as you might like. A small high window with no curtain may trouble those sensitive to light when they sleep (probably specific to the one room I was in on the front of the property). None of this was an issue for me, but worth mentioning FYI.

The location was brilliant so close to the beach and township. We loved being on the ground floor and being able to park right outside. The heat pump was great and heated the space very quickly. We appreciated having a couch to relax on at night while watching telly. Also appreciated the friendly chats with staff, and how clean the unit was.

We would have liked a ventilation fan and heater in the bathroom. We were surprised not to have Sky Movies so we hooked up our HDMI cable to watch Netflix movies on our account.

Fantastic location, right by the beach. A short walk to the wonderful restaurant at the surf club. Very quiet, clean and comfortable room, A great manager, very friendly and helpful with hints on activities and meal options. Would happily stay here again.

Minor quibble - the parking spaces are pretty tight, but we managed OK.
