The location was excellent. Easy walking distance to beach, lovely rivers and historical walks. Several good places to eat nearby. The hosts and staff were lovely.

Would have liked some more kitchenette basics like a sharp knife, cutting board and tea towel as we were there for 4 days. We could have upgraded to a bigger room with some of these extras, but opted to buy these things from local store to take home with us. The staff, while lovely, were short-handed at the time and working very hard with minimal room servicing due to their high workload on a busy weekend. We were advised and we did understand the challenges they had.

Great location near the river and beach within the town centre. Room was large with a huge double bed and big single bed. Shower was excellent as were the fittings. Easy, level stroll to cafe's and bars. Staff were extremely helpful when my rental car got stolen (very rare event in this town). Gisborne itself is a lovely (and safe) place to visit with a clean city centre and wonderful beach. The locals are extremely welcoming.

Nothing really

The room was spacious and included a separate sitting area, and a kitchenette. It had a nice large bathroom, including a tub. We were able to park right at our door. Very nice, friendly host, who provided dining and local information. The location is excellent! It is close to downtown shops, the railway tour, and other landmarks. It has a beautiful view of the harbour!

Nothing, really.

Great location, super handy to restaurants and shops, with a lovely outlook to the river. Check in was easy and staff were friendly and welcoming. Great sized room with a balcony provided a relaxing spot where you could enjoy a wine st the end of the day.

If looking for negatives I would say another mirror in the lounge that allowed the ability to get closer for makeup application. And shower design did turn the bathroom into a bit of a swamp, but that is just nitpicking and didn't detract from our fantastic stay, thank you!

This was one of the nicest Motor Inn that we have ever stayed at. The rooms were large and it was very clean. The location was excellent as it was close to everything we wanted to see in Grisborn. The only thing we were disappointed with was their WiFi, which was dreadfully slow and really unusable. Since I need wifi to keep in contact with investments, I would not stay there again.

As stated the only drawback to this hotel is the lack of adequate WiFi.

Wonderful staff gave us a complimentary upgrade. Kitchens have everything we needed. Great location. Perfect place to spend time in Gisbourne

If I'm being pedantic, the bed was a little soft for us and the tele could have been bigger, given the size of the living room.

Wonderful team here at Pacific Harbour Motor Inn. They were so patient and kind to us. Due to a cancellation, we were upgraded to a bigger room. This was amazing for our son. He was able to enjoy the kitchenette and the bathtub. Everything was within walking distance and we rarely had to use our hire car.

Nothing at all. I'd stay here again and recommend the place to friends and family too.

Had my own breakfast stuff with me

Plate cupboards were very high to reach up to in the corner. We thought the aircon was in the wrong place as the cool air was not going into the bedroom, my son and daughter inlaw found it very hot and uncomfortable all night. I also moved the couch and bed in the lounge so I could watch at night while laying down, didn't want to look at the wall

The staff & location were excellent. The only downside was on our last night, the neighbours shower was quite noisy, that we had to turn TV up. Other than that facilities were good & clean.

Units could do with sound proofing where neighbouring shower backs onto lounge

Judy, was my main highlight. She was helpful friendly and my room was tidy everyday. I didn’t expect it to be but it was once I got back every night. Warm easy access.
