Kia ora, we stayed here for 4 days and had the executive suite. Everything was as you see in the pics. Clean, fresh, air conditioned, wi-fi access all the amenities. Our hosts were phenomenal, we were late due to the Waioeka Gorge closure and many Rd works along the way. As such we traveled an extra 2hrs around the Coast before arriving in Gisborne. I couldn't be more grateful that our host was willing to wait beyond operating hours for our arrival. Luckily we arrived just on time... The location was perfect, 5min drive from township and local beaches. I would highly recommend....

Lauren on the front desk is a superstar. She gave is great recommendations for dinner and breakfast and coffee shops. She helped me figure out the laundry, and when two lost socks (wool, very expensive) eventually returned to the laundry room after I had departed, she mailed them to my final destination in Auckland for me. The Motor Lodge is one level, and mostly we were able to park right at our door. The room was clean, the twin beds a wee bit “close” together, the kitchenette was small and the bathroom was massive. Not a walkable neighbourhood, but a quick drive into town or to the beach was easy.

The staff were exceptional when we said we would be arriving after office hours. They arranged for us to arrive with the room ready for us and milk supplied in the fridge. The rooms were clean and my bed was comfortable. I had no complaints from the others who shared the unit.
Not the staff's fault, but after a recommendation from the office staff with a name of the taxi driver, their mobile number and their email address, the taxi driver did not show up. Yet, the taxi driver answered my phone call, directed me where to wait at the airport with my family. After waiting outside in the cold and wet evening, we called another taxi company, and we finally reached the hotel near 10pm, after arriving at the airport at 8:20pm. It was a very, very long and tiring day for my family who had flown in from Brisbane, then from Auckland to Gisborne.

Great room, exactly like the picture.Has everything you need and was pleasantly surprised with all of the apps on the TV. Staff were very friendly, handy to town and walking distance to small shops. Cute little milk bottle on arrival, enjoyed our stay and will return.
There was some construction going on next door which woke us up early with the noise BUT this is through no fault of the Accomodation...just more of a heads up if you plan on staying here soon.

The unit had everything we needed. Bathroom was nice. It was lovely to meet Geraldine and appreciated her friendly approach. We had a great discussion about 'education'. Convenient parking space a bonus.
The bed was hard and uncomfortable for me and my husband. It would be great to have a stand / rack for suitcased. Just a note for house-keeping: one cup had quite a bit of sugar stuck to it and on the shelf in the cupboard. Not noticeable as cup and sugar are white. I scrubbed the sugar on the shelf, didn't take much to wash the cup. Thought you'd like to know.

The kaimahi were very welcoming & friendly. The room was nice & clean and included a spa.
There was some confusion about the booking that didn't make sense to me. I made two bookings on the Booking.com app for two separate rooms - the bookings read 'Confirmed' in the app, but the motel only received a booking for one. Also, according to the motel staff, I needed to change rooms for my second night because of the booking/room type, so the motel staff moved my stuff into another room while I was out at a tangihanga. When I returned to the motel on the second day/night, the layout was exactly the same as the room on the first night. This experience was confusing & frustrating :(

The room was bright and fresh lovely daycare my fav colours. Spacious and modern. The staff kind and friendly Even offered to pick me up and drop me off places. Stored my bags before and after check ins and were just really lovely. On request they set me back from the road.
The toilet had a seal on it saying it was clean. But I had to clean Pooh stains out the bowl as it wasn’t.

Reception and cleaning staff very friendly and efficient. Room set up was good. Even though there was construction and Motel on main road noise was very limited.
Would be nice if there was a small space to pack groceries in kitchenette as I had to keep moving it around to use facilities. Spa needs a better fitting plug. If bedside lights was dimmable it would be great.

We had a family wedding on when we stayed. We have plenty of whanau in Gisborne but most places were full from other travelling family so we decided to stay at BKs. The staff were very accommodating letting us check out later than usual while the kids waited for their ride to the wedding. They were also very friendly and the rooms were lovely and clean.

Staff were lovely and super helpful when it looked like I wasn't going to make check-in before the office closed.
We interrupted the cleaning team while they were doing our unit after our first night there, so they hurried to get out of our way, which was very nice of them, but it meant they forgot to stock up our coffee supplies so we had no plunger coffee for the next morning, we didn't realise till it was too late to ask at the office.
