It was a very convenient location - close to the airport and with a bus stop just outside, so easy to get into the centre of town. It was clean and comfortable. The room was quite basic and there were no tea/coffee making facilities but everything else was good and the bathroom was very spacious. The view was stunning from 16th floor. I had problems using the access card for my room at first (turned out to be an error on my part) and had to keep going up and down in the lift to reception for help as phoning or messaging reception didn’t work. However, the receptionist was very friendly and sorted the problem out for me in the end.

The room was huge and immaculate. The view was outstanding. The plugpoints by the bed were helpful and the bathroom was very big and convenient. The breakfast was decent. I am vegetarian and options are always less for me but others might probably love it a whole lot more. They gave me a kettle to use in the room.

There were no tea or coffee facilities. Also, we couldn't get water in the reception like in other hotels. A little far from the city centre though well connected by bus

We stayed in the hotel for one week. The price (especially in Christmas time) is very nice and for breakfast there was a big variety and amount available. The stuff is also very friendly and all our wishes were considered. We would stay in this hotel again. The hotel has a certain distance to the centrum, but everything is accessible by bus mostly all the time within a few minutes.

Breakfast is super duper delicious. I got a room in good location. I could see the sea view from window. I travelled alone and the was quite large and clean. I visited Norway in winter season and my all clothes got wet, so I could dry them in bathroom. This is benefit for having own room, not share bed and bathroom with anyone. If you arrive hotel after 10 p.m., you have to ring the bell and receptionist will open the gate for you because the front gate where share with hospital gate

The breakfast was alright, nothing over the top plain and simple but does the job. The room i had was 1605 so 16th floor with nice views over the ocean and mountains. It was clean and easy to navigate around with a frequent bus stop right on the outside.

The bed was like 70cm wide which makes it hard to sleep comfortable. The shower also had some issues, it went from boiling hot at random even though you put the temperature at 38C.

If your business is with UNN Hospital you are right on the site. Ocean view rooms are the best with a splendid view. Easy access to down town either by bus or taxi.Rooms are good and comes with free wifi.TV and a small fridge. They serve a great breakfast in the morning. Normally included in the roomprice. They also serve buffetdinner that you can pay for and sell softdrinks.beer and wine. I had 5 stays there during february and march.

For me i found beds a bit small

Spacious clean rooms, decent breakfast, front desk accommodates late check in. Quiet area with good views as the building is quite tall.

Worth noting this is part of a hospital so the entrance can be a bit daunting if it is busy. Also not much around there, but it is well connected with buses to take you in town.

Easy to get to by bus to the centre. It was unique being in the hospital. Staff were helpful and kind. Rooms were clean and bathroom was very spacious. Views were lovely from the room. Breakfast was plentiful and a variety of choice. Would recommend highly and would stay again

Nothing at all

There is nothing negative I could say about Pingvinhotellet. At first I was a bit worried because of other reviews, but nothing mentioned there was the case during my stay. Reception staff was always friendly and helpful. A big bonus for me was that there are snacks and drinks available at the reception even at 3 in the morning. No pesky supermarket visits and carrying heavy bags! There is also a small Narvesen supermarket right next to the reception where you can buy everything from newspapers to shavers and even hot snacks. A pharmacy is also there. This was closed over Christmas and also the supermarket had different opening times, but hey it was holiday season, so no worries. Many bus lines to the city centre leave right outside the hotel entrance. It wasn't a problem for me that the hotel is connected to the hospital and sometimes you see patients or doctors. In my case it was even convenient because I got a migraine, I then asked a doctor I met and she was kind enough to give me something against it. The room was rather big by international standards; the bathroom you could actually dance in, and everything else was fine as well. There was a comfy couch in my room, too. The only small thing I would recommend is that there should be a hair dryer in the bathroom.

Wide choice for breakfast. Qualified breakfast chef . the room is large with a minimal set of furniture. I love the space and bathroom is also large. I liked it very much. Everywhere clean.

Dinner time ends at 5pm. I was returning fro excursions after 5pm . One time I was left hungry. there is no way to make hot water or tea for yourself.
