I like it! Very clean and quiet place. The management is very good. The staff could remember my needs raised 3months when I books the hotel before I checked in. Very well organized place, especially the kitchen and dining hall. Free coffee and tea is great! Location is also perfect for me, close to city center but keep a quiet environment. The view from the window is really nice. Lastly, the price is very nice in Norway.

Only the curtain could not provide a very dark environment in nights without sunset. But the staff already reminded me of taking a mask when booking. So remember to take a mask during summer time to Tromoso.

We stayed in the independent apartment, 30 meters only from the hostel, so I can't evaluate the hostel itself. On regards of our studio, it was everything as expected. The place is comfortable with a beatiful view to the mountains, well located, being only 5min from the city center, the kitchen is well-equiped and taking showers before 10PM wasn't a problem, we always had hot water available. The staff in the hostel is amazing, they reply very quickly and provide whatever we ask for, within their possibilities.

The shower area is old-fashioned having that plastic curtains instead of a proper shower glass partition. Since it was still cold and we had the heating turned on all time, it wasn't a problem for us, because the bathroom floor indeed got wet all the time someone took a shower, but in 10 minutes it was again dried and without any effort from us. In the summer, the wet bathroom after a shower can be a problem for people who, like me, doesn't like it.

Location is perfect! 5 minute walk front the city center! Close to everything! Big kitchen and common area Amazing staff! Super nice and very clean property! Price is also very affordable

The single room with shared bathroom is not very comfortable. I know I booked a very basic room (single room with no bathroom) however it would be nice to add a small mirror in the room and more hooks to hang stuff since it can fit a desk. There is a tv in the room but no mirrors.

Kitchen for everyones use is well stocked with pots, pans and utensils, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, 2x cookers. Was always clean, closed overnight. Fridges in the rooms. TV with a few English channels in bedrooms. Housekeeping was very good, lovely ladies. Reception was open from 10am to 6 or 7pm. Both receptionists were very knowledgeable and made some good suggestions on things to do. They were both very nice and friendly. Heating in bedrooms was good, beds were comfy. If you needed extra towels, hair dryer or had any issues at all, just inform reception and they would sort it straight away. Would recommend and would stay again. Meli and Kaddy on reception were welcoming and very helpful. The staff made the this place even better. Thankyou all for a lovely stay

The hotel is super central, at walking distance from the main city attractions and tour meeting points. The bathroom and the bed work fine. There is free tea and free biscuits night and day 24/7. The temperature in the room is great, there is a static electric heater which is very silent. There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area available to all guests from sunrise to sunset. The price is similar to alternative hotels.

The room is small. There isn't enough space to use the two sides of the bed. The room is in the basement with a small window. The reception is about 200 metres from the hotel, from 18:00 to 24:00 you will meet a lot of people walking in pouring snow with suitcases from reception to the hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel! Firstly, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, which made us feel welcome from the start. I had a few questions before arriving, and the response time to my messages were very quick and I appreciated the thoughtfulness and detail in the replies. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the bed was comfortable – we slept well every night. Hairdryers are available at reception if needed, which was a nice convenience. The complimentary cookies and hot drinks were a lovely touch, and we enjoyed spending time in the cosy lounge area in the evenings. The location was also great – just a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants and shops. I also advise trying the tap water in the kitchen, it's so crisp. Overall, a great experience, and I’d be happy to stay here again!

The hotel has a good location at the city center. Walk down and you are in the center, walk up to get to the local park etc. Personnel is very friendly and provide you with answers and suggestions during your stay! Room is well heated and temperature was easily adjusted.

Building is a little old. As such the rooms were smaller than expected (not a real issue for solo travelling). The shower in my room was also quite small, this might not be an issue for other rooms or people (shared shower could also be used which is larger!). The bed was also quite soft, but this is a personal preference.

The kitchen was well equipped with 2 separate hobs for 2 person to cook at same time. A staff, Katie (not sure the spelling), was very friendly and energetic, giving a very nice vibe for the hotel. They change towels everyday, can put the “Do not enter” sign if you don’t need daily change & cleaning.

Some time there’s very foul smell in my toilet. Not sure is from the ventilator or drainage. Wifi wasn’t strong in my room, hardly get the signals, couldn’t make a smooth video call. Might be dangerous to go up/down the steep slope during winter when floor gets icy.

I highly recommend this place for those who want to enjoy Norway on a budget, but still want to experience exceptional service. The receptionists were always available in case of any question even if you asked them about northern light spots or anything. I really liked their mentality about wanting to make every guest's experience super good as they understood that most of us came to Tromsø to make our dream come true. The complementary cookies, tea, coffee and the waffles during the afternoons were really generous, I have never experienced something like that in any other places (probably it is normal in Norway, but not in many other European countries). The kitchen was very well-equipped, the room was a little small, but still ok for 2 people, and I really liked the initiative of the common fridge and box where we could leave what we couldn't eat during our stay so others can have it for free later, it is both very good because it reduces the amount of wasted food and given the norwegian prices, it is a huge help for budget travellers. I can't say a bad word about them, also the washing machine and drier worked 24/7. I only wish that they keep on with this mentality and brighten every single traveller's stay in Tromsø as they did with ours.

Good basic room with a nice hot shower. Fridge and TV in the room. Friendly communal areas and staff. Free beverage station available 24/7 with coffee, teas (including English breakfast), hot chocolate and milk if you want it and biscuits. DIY free waffles every day 17:00 to 19:00 with jam and brown cheese. Communal kitchen that has everything you might need to cook your own meals. Located to the rear of central Tromsø.

Limited storage, even the addition of a couple of hooks to hang things on would help. No kettle in the room but the beverage station makes up for that.
