The most picturesque and cosy setting. Having stayed in the centre of town for 3 nights before coming here it was a lovely change. We were lucky with our cabin (explorer) as our balcony was overlooking the Fjord and mountain which meant we didnt need to close our blinds at all. Not all cabins have this luxury though. Would say it is a must to stay here though. 45 min walk into town which we did daily as it was our exercise before hopping on a bus for the tour. It was exceptionally clean and the underfloor heating was an extra treat!

Nothing!

Easily accessible from the city, specially by car Beautiful and really cozy cabins Good breakfast Aaaaaand we were able to see northern lights from our cabin 😍

We didn't quite get how the heating worked, but we were still able to be cozy at home with -25C degrees outside

The location is beautiful. The cabins are really nice, clean, warm, quiet, with all comforts (plugs, chairs, hangers and enough room to store our stuff). The breakfast is very good, with sweet and salty food.

The location is far from the city center and it's not really convenient if you are there without a car. The taxis are quite expensive and the buses are not really frequent and they accept only cash for the tickets (we found out too late that the reception was selling tickets). The only negative point of the cabins are the windows of the roof, which can be closed only by the receptionists, who said that once they close it they cannot open them back. The receptionists who were there on Friday morning, 02Feb2024, were not very kind. We asked for some support to plan our taxi and we did not receive clear instructions. Then we asked again and they were bothered by the question. We finally gave up and sorted it out on our own.

You can already experience northern lights right in front of your door.

the staff were very friendly! we stayed in a red cabin as a family, and the space was cosy for 5. breakfast was decent, a small spread. got to this location from the city by taxi, wow transportation here is very expensive... at night, the spot was dark enough for us to catch a glimpse of the northen lights!! so so cool, and the mountain right next to the cabin is seriously so picturesque, really recommend a stay here when ure in tromso :)

We traveled in December, and the location was fabulous, with untouched snow and ice-capped villas. The location was a little outside the city (10 mins walk to the nearest bus stop), but that’s the beauty of Tromso Lodge and camping

Since they do not have Kingsize/large bed, the beds were joined, and it was not so comfortable. The beds moved apart while sleeping, and it was uncomfortable. Also, the room was a little dusty.

The location of the property was amazing! On our second night alone, we saw the northern lights just outside our cabin. It was however a bit far from the city center. We had to spend a few bucks to get to the supermarket, but some emergency food/supplies are available at the reception. I also liked how the staff are so accommodating. We asked for helped in booking our tours which all had the property as the pick-up location. Very very convenient. Overall, our stay here was unforgettable.

We did have a few issues with cleanliness of the bed sheets. But again, overall, our stay was pleasant. We just made the necessary adjustments and cleaned the cabin ourselves.

The camp is nicely secluded from the city, we loved the nature surrounding it (mountains, lush green forest, river with crystal clear water). Personell was very helpful and friendly. The 'explorer' cabin had an amazing view from terrace, was very modern, intelligently designed and soundproof. It felt optimal for 2 people.

During summer months, it is better to wear a sleeping mask (window shades did not block the light completely during night hours). If you go there by a city bus, you need to count with a bit of walk from the bus stop, but it was manageable even with a suitcase.

The location was amazing and I would say that if you booked a hotel nearer the centre then it's a completely different holiday. We stayed in an economy cabin, and while it would have been nice to have a toilet etc this added to the experience. There were plenty of toilets and showers in the main block, and we never had to wait for one. Everything is a bit of a walk away, but again, this was fun as there was thick snow everywhere. I would suggest getting the "Wolt" app as you can get food delivered to the site, and it works out much cheaper than eating out. This saved us on our first night as we arrived after the shops had closed.

The 6am snow plow each morning was a bit unnecessary as I'm sure this could have been done at a more reasonable time. The breakfast they offer isn't the best and is very expensive, but everything in Norway is very expensive.

Everything!!! I booked Economy cabin and I had not private bathroom but public bathroom was super clean, the shower floor was heated. The atmosphere in the camp was super cozy and the cabins are beautiful The distance to the city centre was short, about above 10 minute with the bus, only few stations We have posibilites to eat there breakfast/ lunch or do it yourself because the kitchen is equiped with everything from microwave to oven. And the most amazing part was the chance to see aurora from the camp even I booked a chasing tour. Choose this camp, you'll not regret this decision!!! This was our cozy home for 3 days.
