We absolutely loved our stay. The Suite room was spacious, elegant, and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and once we discovered the Rawya Restaurant, the variety and quality were fantastic. The pool was excellent — clean, well-maintained, and a great place to relax. The Kids Club was also brilliant; our children loved it. The staff’s knowledge of the local area was impressive, and they were consistently helpful and attentive throughout our stay. A special shout-out to Krish at the 258 Club — his warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made a real difference. He’s an absolute star!

We genuinely enjoyed our stay overall. However, we weren't informed at check-in about the full range of Suite guest privileges — including breakfast at Rawya Restaurant and complimentary drinks and canapés at the 258 Club. We initially thought breakfast was only available at the 258 Club, which had a limited selection. Fortunately, a fantastic staff member, Krish, explained everything to us later. Clear communication at check-in would have made the experience smoother from the start.

At first, the arrival experience wasn’t very pleasant tried to trick us and down size our room, but eventually things improved. The room was spacious, the hotel was lovely with an amazing balcony view, and the food was outstanding. The staff became friendly and organised, which made the stay much better overall. In the end, it was a lovely stay.

Upon arrival, the hotel staff assumed that since we were two women, they could move us to a deluxe room and tried to sell it as an “upgrade” with a better view. At first, I thought an upgrade would be nice, but when we got to the room, it was actually smaller than what we booked. I immediately called reception to clarify, and they insisted it was the same size with a better view. After checking my booking, I made it clear that I wanted exactly what I reserved a king-size room with a balcony. The staff initially made excuses about summer bookings and unavailable rooms, but I insisted on receiving the correct room. In the end, we got what we booked. Overall, the room was spacious and comfortable, but be careful when checking in to ensure you get the room you reserved.

Another stunning, brand new Mandarin Oriental property! The design is breathtaking, blending traditional Omani patterns with a clean, elegant simplicity. The staff were warm, enthusiastic, and full of energy, though a few of our requests and one food order were mixed up — nothing major, and understandable for a hotel that only opened a year ago. Our room was spectacular: spacious, beautifully detailed, and impeccably maintained by the excellent housekeeping team. We opted for a city and mountain view, which we loved. The location is fantastic — right by the public beach promenade, in a district where many embassies are located and expats tend to live. We rented a car and really appreciated the secure basement parking, which kept the car cool and offered direct lift access to our suite. Overall, a luxurious and memorable stay, with just a few service hiccups that we’re confident will smooth out with time.

Location is excellent Hotel is brand new so everything is in top condition. The rooms are great (we had the ocean view deluxe). The pool is excellent, cooled and clean. The breakfast was high quality and had a good variety. The water pressure is excellent. Every detail has been thought through.

At the risk of sounding entitled, we arrived from Dubai at 1:30pm and had to wait till 3pm to get the room. That felt odd since the hotel was barely at 50% capacity. At the pool, it would be nice to have a DJ create an atmosphere.

The diligence and attention of the staff to detail. The food was good. We ask for a very late checkout and the hotel obliged. It is worth noting that Felix, the manager of the restaurant where we breakfasted, made the request for us when he found out that our flight was late in the day. He took the trouble to make the request for us.

The hotel provided an exceptional experience, combining elegance and comfort seamlessly. The facilities were immaculate, catering to every need with a touch of luxury. The reception staff were outstanding, exuding warmth and professionalism, ensuring every guest felt welcomed and attended to with impeccable attention to detail. Truly, a stay to remember.

The staff was too freindly and she really try to help us as we was searching for diffrents hotels but all was full and we was travelling for 5 hours..she realy was kindly and helpful..hotel was amazing and really for relaxing

This is not my first stay at the Mandarin, and it certainly won’t be my last. All the staff are amazing, and I am truly grateful for their kindness. The hotel is clean, the location is great, and all the facilities are well maintained. I look forward to my next stay 🙏🏻

The pillows were not comfortable, even when changed to more firm pillows. Some toiletries were missing or not replaced after using.
