Paid expensive and no information of maintenance by booking.com and swimming pool was not operational

The pool was closed and had maintenance. They did not mention it during the reservation. They should mention these kind of things to the guests beforehand.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool area is very nice and with a direct access to the public beach. The staff is always welcoming and smile. The cleaner of our floor/wing was particularly nice.

The hotel is 25 years old and needs a bit of refurbishment but it is still a very good hotel. The lobby was closed and in the process of being repared.

The main advantage of this hotel its exceptional, wonderful, native Omani-styled lobby. Every minute spent there is unforgettable.

It is a pretty old hotel and its facilities mostly are ... a little bit tired. The Tuscany restaurant is good enough but it is not 5* hotel restaurant for sure. The pool is small and the bar there didn't work. The SPA facilities and the Club lounge zone are also very old and need renovation... They are not bad, but you are expecting usually a little bit more from a 5* hotel ...

only if they had their swimming pool not under Maintiannce , and also if they could have the pool table to a public place so kids under 18 could also play .

Staff was amazing and very friendly. I told them before that we were coming for our wedding anniversary. The room was ocean view and they sent us a cake. They remembered every detail. We booked several activities with the hotel and the activities were all well planned and perfect. I definitely recommend booking day trip to Dimaniyat Islands through the hotel.

The pool and the restaurant next to the pool was under rennovation but the hotel provided free shuttle to another pool, so that was not a big issue for us.

The staff was amazing specially Ali at the reception. Due to the EID holiday and the hotel being almost full they had to delay our checkin a little bit. However, Mr. Ali was amazing and offered us a room upgrade plus late checkout for the inconvenience. Moreover, when he knew it was the birthday of one us he took the liberty and arranged for a birthday cake by himself. The rooms are really big and spacious. The breakfast was amazing, so many options to choose from. They have access to the public beach. They have a nice pool bar as well as pool restaurant with sheesha.

I just feel like it’s an old hotel that needs a little bit of refreshing in terms of furniture and lighting.

Great somewhat faded decor. The staff we met couldn't have been nicer & more professional. Abdullah T at breakfast was extremely polite & helpful, and the Nepalese concierge was excellent too. Thank you both very much indeed; you couldn't have been kinder.

The fact that our bedroom overlooked a building site. The workers got going at about 0500 hours and two JCBs, a Komatsu and someone hammering corrugated iron didn't exactly enable a lie-in. However, I have a feeling that those who book into 5-star hotels through websites like Booking.com are regarded as second class citizens .... so "give them any old room regardless of problems" is the norm. Our fault therefore! Make no mistake though, it's a lovely hotel probably best suited for the older generation

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Grand Hyatt Muscat Hotel. The hotel felt grand, without feeling cold. It was very welcoming, warm and tastefully decorated. The food at the restaurant is extraordinary. We would rush back to the hotel to have our dinner there because they had so much variety, the food changed daily and it was very fresh. The rooms are spacious, ours overlooked the sea. Even though the hotel was redecorating its main restaurant, the terrace is stunning and has a wonderful view, so I don't feel like I missed out. I can highly recommend anyone to stay there.

A great luxurious hotel with excellent service. The staff was next level friendly. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! The hotel has several restaurants. We ate at both the Pool restaurant (Marjan) and the Italian restaurant (Tuscany). Both served high quality food and drinks. The pool is very pleasant with plenty of places.

Food and drinks are a bit expensive here, but that's to be expected at this type of hotel.
