Ideal location, highly recommend to stay if you come to Islamabad for official, govt ministers, diplomatic enclave visit. MOFA is 5 minutes drive from guest house. House has a nice classic vibe of 80's era which I like it. Rooms are nice, cozy and comfortable. Bathroom are clean, hot water available. Staff is very courteous and respectful. Food is amazing, Cook Sheikh Fazal Ilahi is very humble man. Served great food and tea.

No convenience store, shop near by. Bring your snacks for odd times.

We had a great time in this guest house. The neighborhood is very quiet and the staff is incredibly kind. The pick up and drop off were great and everyone was super helpful! Would definitely recommend for someone who wants a cozy and safe place to stay without any fuss.

Unfortunately our shower had an issue when we were there but we managed to find a solution!

We stayed as a group in the hotel with three rooms for 4 nights. And we were mainly for the embassies there, as they are closely located.The beds were comfortable and the AC was very good. The rooms were spacious and the cleanliness was good! What really stood out was the friendliness and helpfullness of the staff. At last, the served food at the hotel was freshly prepared and really good! I can recommend the chicken pulao.

The behavior of the staff was exceptionally humble and understanding. They served good food that gave us the feeling of homemade cuisine, and the tea was fantastic.

It would be a good idea for them to replace their carpets

I was traveling with my family, Me and my husband often travel to islamabad for work, it was my first stay at The city Lodge. Staff was very supportive specially Mr.Sunny Abbasi, he always try to help us very kind, humble. Property was bit old but services are good, better in term of service & Staff as compare to other properties in that area. Highly recommend

It was my first time traveling to Islamabad, and I was alone. The guesthouse felt as safe as home—you could go outside without worrying and even leave your room unlocked. The staff were incredibly nice and supportive. Plus, they served delicious meals and fresh juice.

The place is centrally located and near to all the main areas of the city with good transport links. I’ve stayed in many 5 star hotels and airbnbs but the ethos and vibes here are unmatched. You really feel like part of a family and the vibrant community of guests and hotel staff really make the stay. I would definitely stay here again when I visit. For an English speaking guest, they really do well to go above and beyond to all your needs and the service and ethos is amazing.

There’s nothing I would change about this place

Staff was very friendly and helpful. They supported me to order food online for example. Breakfast was wonderful. Especially the Paratha with less fat were excellent. The lodge has hot water and good water pressure, as well as cold drinking water (which I filtered again just in case).

The location was excellent. Great value, spacious and clean room with a comfy bed. As for service, the host and staff were very friendly and superbly helpful. Room service food was very good. The next day, I was not around for breakfast, but my father was. He found it very good.
