I loved this property so much. We were there 4 nights and it was so beautiful, peaceful, and rejuvenating. The location is great because you are hidden away in a little oasis. The grounds are beautiful. We sat on our balcony daily and watched the birds, listened to the water, and enjoyed the views. We appreciated that there was no tv in the room and I think unintentionally the wifi isn’t reliable but it really allowed us to disconnect. We borrowed some of their books, they have a massive book exchange with a great selection. We used their convenient laundry services. Lastly, the breakfast was so fresh. The 24/7 tea service was a cherry on top.

We absolutely fell in love with this place immediately upon walking into the gorgeous gardens and hillside ruins you can see from your balcony. The rooms were large enough to spread out some gear. They provided laundry service which was excellent. Beds confortable. Breakfast in the morning was perfect and they even made us a to go breakfast when we left early to hike Inca trail. We kept our bags here and stayed another evening after coming off the Inca trail. Best decision! The desk staff and cooks were always kind and helpful.

Depending if on the first or second floor, you might find some sqeeky floors if someone walking above you. We stayed on the first floor upon return for one night and the only thing to mention is that you may have a few more bugs on the lower garden level. Nothing too bad but noticed in evening. Overall they clean well and I'm sure if there was an issue they would immediately address.

The hotel is located along a quiet, cobbled pedestrian street (if you need help with your luggage, the staff will collect your bags from the main square, which is five minutes away). During the rainy season, the rainwater in the stone irrigation channel next to the alley makes a beautiful gurgling sound. A lovely little flower garden welcomes guests. We arrived at the hotel in the evening. Although dinner was unavailable, the clerk kindly ordered food from a nearby restaurant. Our requested quinoa soup arrived within half an hour, requiring cash payment. The nights in Ollantaytambo can be freezing, and the room has no heating. However, the blankets were warm, and we slept well in the cool air. The shower provided hot water, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

The staff were great, especially Leo, the breakfast was great, homemade granola, fruit and yoghurt, omelette. Comfy beds, good shower. Fire lighting in reception on cold, rainy days, beautiful garden and hammocks to relax in on sunny days. Quiet location but convenient to everything! Leo gave us a heater and extra blankets in case we would be cold. He also recommended Apu Veronica, a great restaurant! Staff helped us to bring luggage to main square on arrival and departure.

We had a ground floor room. I would’ve preferred an upstairs one with a balcony!

We spent three nights at Apu Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed this lovely hotel set at the end of a quiet lane in Ollayantambo. It is set in beautiful gardens with glorious views from the upper floor rooms. The staff are super pleasant and helpful too. We can also recommend Edgar the taxi driver who drove us to answer from Cusco as well as to other sites of interest in the Sacred Valley. He is an excellent driver and full of useful information.

We loved our stay at Apu Lodge! Our favorite place on our trip to Peru, hands down! The staff was amazing and friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. The small deck off our room allowed moments for relaxation and calm, watching the gardens and the hummingbirds - surrounded by the beautiful mountains. Great view of the Ollantaytambo ruins. We had Leo arrange a taxi to take us to some other sights on one of the days - Edgar was our fantastic driver. Highly recommend this amazing place to stay!

The breakfast had a great variety of fruit, yogurt and granola, as well as an omelet cooked to order. The orange juice was fresh squeezed, and delicious. It exceeded our expectations! The location of the grounds was AMAZING!! We had a great view of many ruins. The lodge Is nestled at the base of one of the huge mountains. Such a BEAUTIFUL location!! The grounds were covered in many different flowers, and a large variety of fruit trees. We enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks, enjoying the tranquility. We also loved how close it was to the town square. We highly recommend staying here the night before going to Machu Pichu, to allow for a shorter train ride, than if you came from Cusco. It breaks up the trip. If you can, stay at least 2 nights!!

A couple of our guests received bug bites from what looked like tiny ants, which we found on the bed. We let them know, and I trust they will make sure the area Is treated.

We really loved this place. It is located in the old part of town, which is a really beautiful historic area, cobblestone paths and lovely old buildings. It is below a very steep mountain with Incan ruins on it, visible from the hotel. The building is surrounded by a lovely garden, with tons of hummingbirds and other birds. I loved sitting on our upstairs porch and watching the birds and admiring the view and sitting in peace and quiet. The room was comfortable and nice too. We also really enjoyed talking to all of the staff, especially Leo. He was extremely helpful and kind and we had lots of good conversations. The hotel sent a helper to bring our suitcases from the main square, since it is a walking path and not a road outside the hotel. So it is easy to get there with luggage. The cobblestone path is a little bumpy, so if you have a lot of trouble walking, or use a cane or something, maybe that could be a problem for you. And if you want to go to the train station to go to Machu Picchu or elsewhere, you can easily get a tuktuk from the main square so you can get there more quickly. It's very cheap to get a tuk tuk. There are many restaurants in the main square and surrounding areas. You can walk to the main ruins easily, and there are also the ruins high above the hotel. There is also an interesting market with tourist stuff near the main ruins. So everything is very close and convenient. I was sorry I did not stay here longer. We moved on to Urubamba, but Ollantaytambo is much more historic and interesting. I would have loved to have more days wandering around this town and enjoying the garden at the hotel.

We stayed here for 5 nights as we wanted to acclimatise before our main tours at higher altitude. Apu Lodge was the perfect place to stay, with its serene gardens and mountain views, just 5 minutes walk from the main square. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, with good English. Breakfast was freshly prepared, with 3 options of tropical fruits each day, eggs, fresh bread, cereals and a variety of drinks. Free coca tea and filtered water was available at all times. The room was spacious and comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the archaeological site and mountains. Highly recommended.
