Very friendly staff. They were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. The airport driver was excellent. The room was roomy . Super spotless clean. We really enjoyed and we definitely will stay there again The staff had our room ready with keys on the counter once we arrived. This was the easiest check in process we ever had. 10 star service

We had a room on the top floor with the balcony right outside - and the view from there is spectacular - and we sat out there each sunny afternoon to enjoy. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was perfect. It was clean and well appointed - basic but just right. The staff were awesome and let us into the kitchen whenever we wanted to make our cups of tea or heat up soups etc. Very friendly family run business and highly recommend. The location is PERFECT - just the right amount of walk away from the main square to be quite and in a real local neighbourhood feel (not touristy) but also easy access to anywhere you wanted to walk. We LOVED our 4 nights here in Ollantaytambo - there is so much to see and do and also a great place to relax and unwind.

The location is unbeatable. If you book a room on the top floor (you need to be able to manage stairs) then you have the most stunning and breathtaking views in all directions. You are looking right at the main Incan sites in the Sacred Valley. You are a short walk away from the central plaza with lots of options for food and drink. The staff are lovely and so helpful and friendly. Filtered water is always available in the dining area along with hot water and cocoa leaves. WiFi in room was excellent. Facilities are simple but well done. Breakfast was basic but delicious.

Bring ear plugs as Ollantaytambo has lots of roosters who start crowing at 4.30am!! There was one right directly outside our room (at back in neighbouring garden) and he was very loud! I felt it added to general charm of the town but if you are sensitive to noise ask for quieter room if possible.

The location, the staff are the selling points for this hotel. Amazing views from the rooftop. Walkable to shops and restaurants, albeit on bumby stoned streets. Helpful, friendly, and responsive staff helped us from arrival to departure. Requested and got more towels and pillows for the room and got early tuk tuk for our trek to Machu Picchu. They packed breakfast to go for us, too. Helped store luggage with late departure. Everyone was always with a welcoming smile and attitude.

Be sure to have cash for room payment. There is a fee for credit card payment. True overall with most transactions in Peru. The town is mostly pedestrian. Cobblestone streets. Our driver parked nearby and hauled our luggage up the rocky steps for us. It lends to the charm of the town but be prepared for those with limited mobility. The room has odd angles and could use more ample supply of soap and shampoo.

Lovely little place in the heart of a lovely little town. AMAZING VIEW from the balcony outside our room and from our room itself, which had a sort of breakfast nook with a panoramic view. You can see the ruins! At first we were worried because the room didn't have any heat, but they give you lots of cozy comforters for the bed. We actually had to peel some of them back. Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast (little pancakes!), steady wifi, plenty of hot water in the shower, nice price. And they did that thing where the towels were on our bed folded into swans, with flowers, when we checked in.

This is a quibble, but the bed is in a corner, so only one of us got a bedside table. And it wasn't me 🙁. But you can still get in and out of bed on that side.

The property was very clean, comfortable and in a great location for strolling to the main square and ruins. There was a very good choice of food at the breakfast buffet and hot drinks/water available all day. The 360 view from the roof terrace was also incredible. But the very best thing about this hotel was the staff! Especially Marcela, who went above and beyond, helping us so much with recommendations and transportation bookings before we’d even arrived in Peru. She is an absolute diamond. Thank you for helping us get the most out of our short stay!

I had a wonderful stay at this centrally located hotel in the charming town of Ollantaytambo, a great jumping off point 1.5 hours by train to Machu Pichu. Host Marcela helped me every step of the way, drawing maps to the city, recommending restaurants and attractions, arranging taxis and making every guest feel welcome. This is not the Hilton - those modern tower hotels do not exist in this most authentic town (thank God) - it was simple and very clean with a great breakfast included and a decent Internet connection. I hope to return someday.

Intitambo hotel was just perfect. The location was very close to the main square and in one of the beautiful streets of the authentic Inca city of Intitambo. Rooms were very clean and the hotel has a lovely terrace upstairs. Breakfast was plenty of tasty food and local amenities. We must praise the lovely staff at Intitambo, specially Patricia who helped us with the taxi bookings, exchanging room since there was a misunderstanding with our booking, and letting us having a late check-out. Thanks Patricia! I definitely recommend Intitambo hotel for a stay in Ollantaytambo.

Everything was great!

Great location in a very quite alley with only foot traffic (a lot of streets in Ollantaytambo are based on the original Inca layout and are not wide enough for cars). Staff were very friendly and spoke some English. Excellent breakfast. A few minutes walk to the main square and restaurants, about a 10 minute walk to the main Archaeological site. The train station is a 15 minute walk from the hotel but, from the main square the Tuk-Tuk taxis charge under 5 soles for a ride to the station.

The hotel requires you to drop off your room key when leaving the hotel and pick it up again from a plate near the entrance when returning to the hotel. While there was always someone around when getting your key I was slightly concerned about this practice. Because cars cannot get to the hotel you will have to carry your luggage either up a set of stairs or through the alleys.

The view from the third floor terrace is incredible! The room was very comfortable with a great shower. We loved the breakfast and taking our coffee up to the terrace to enjoy with the view. Marcela, at the front desk and who I communicated with before our stay, is the best! She helped us arrange transport to and from Cusco with an excellent driver, gave us great restaurant recommendations, and helped me arrange same day laundry service. She was so warm and friendly and really made our experience in Ollantaytambo special. We loved staying here!

The owner did not seem to be treating the employees well, which was really unfortunate because they were all great. She raised her voice at them a bit and it was uncomfortable.
