The location is magical and the views breathtaking. The staff are super kind and caring, and the location allows for a peaceful vibe where you wake up surrounded by mountains and nature. We had one of the suites, and the modern style rooms and second floor jacuzzi tub facing the mountains is worth every penny.

The breakfast had limited options, but the staff was super helpful and took off-menu orders (pancakes) for our kids. The dinner menu is nice but I wish it had more variety. That being said, the staff went out of their Way to help us order delivery pizza. Again, amazing staff!

The hotel Del Pilar Ollantaytambo is outstanding! it is situated about 20 minutes by car from Ollantaytambo in the beautiful valle de Vilcanota. Our room had a stunning view to the picturesque mountain. Everything in this hotel is precisely executed and decorated with lot of taste. The food is tasty and classy, the staff is kind and all the services are superb. We failed to buy tickets for Machu Picchu online. Irvin (the manager of the hotel) and Karen (the front desk manager) noticed our struggle and did everything possible to help us. With their help we were ale to get successfully last minute tickets for Machu Picchu. We will keep memories from the hotel as one of the best hotels we ever stayed in.

Location of the property is excellent, nice property surrounded by beautiful mountains and snow peaks, rooms are nice and clean

It’s not a lot to do in the property apart from relaxing as this is about 35 minutes drive away from the main plaza, food choice and drinks choice very limited considering it’s 4 star and that doesn’t reflect the price you pay as we didn’t have much choice either eat there or go out as taxi service is very limited

Gorgeous views from the room. There is a great playground for kids complete with hammocs where exhausted parents can relax😄 Llamas roam freely around the hotel. Location is good, not too far from Ollantaytambo (maximum 15-20 minutes drive)

No food outside of breakfast or dinner hours. Maybe you can try preordering it, but availability is not guaranteed. The bar was open though

We loved the alpacas that wandered around the property. The staff are lovely and very helpful. Each time we came back there was tea in the lobby. It was a very peaceful, quiet place. Just what we wanted. There is a pool table if you are looking for something to do at night. If you want a lot of action going on, this might not be for you. The breakfast and dinners were fresh and tasty.

We stayed in a room with a hot tub on the terrace and the water never really worked to fill it. That was the only negative.

The property is very beautiful, surrounded by mountains. The staff spreaks English, and they will go out of their way to help you. The food was also nice.

The location has it's pros and cons, it's out of the town so you need to take taxis and the prices can go crazy. Also the train is super close and it can be a bit loud but that's not the property's fault.

The location is very bad, far from everything; actually, I paid PEN 120,00 for the taxi, to pick and return us to the Ollantaytambo Train Station. Also, the breakfast is poor with few options.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting- the view from the rooms is stunning. The rooms themselves are very comfortable and there is lots of calm outside space to relax. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They helped us to arrange trips into the surrounding area and made great recommendations for what to do. The food in the restaurant is also good. I can’t fault anything about our stay.,

Loved the location and facilities here. The staff were super helpful, especially when we needed a taxi to get from the hotel to Ollantaytambo station and there was a landslide - we got to the station with time to spare. Great games and activities in the shared spaces too.

The hotel was quite difficult to get to if you didn't use the shuttle service that you could get from the hotel. Further from Ollantaytambo than I thought.

This is not a place for usual backpacker crowd. About 7 km away from the main town of Ollantayatambo, Del Pilar is a place of calm and serene; the mighty Andes surrounds the property like a fortress, vast stretch of green fields soothes the eyes and the mind, puffs of cloud imparts a mystic aura as the legends of the Incas. My husband and I stayed here for three nights and we both agree this is the best romantic and peaceful hotel stay that we have had so far. Hotel staff are amazing. From the time we stepped in they gave us personal attention, including waking us up and serving coffee at 5 am plus packing boxed breakfast for our early morning train ride to Machu Picchu. Transport to the main town and ruins is by collectivos ( Veronica), there is a stop just at the hotel gate; usually a little crowded with the local commuters ( 4 soles / person), taxis take 40- 45 soles. A special mention to the juices served in breakfast, they are freshly squeezed and tastes of real fruit!

The onsite restaurant Aymuray has fewer items though the dishes are made with lot of care and taste perfect.
