A lovely family run hotel in the heart of puno. Staff were great and helped with all manner of enquiries: laundry, booking taxi, extra pillow, and even opened for breakfast early as we had to leave for a bus. Perfectly located within very short walk to main square. Room was large and came with plenty of blankets to stay warm. Travelling South America for 6 weeks and this has been one of my favourite places I've stayed.

Hotel a little dated, but this added to the charm of it in my opinion - some travellers may disagree and prefer more modern accommodation.

This is a beautiful old hotel with character, in an excellent location. Front desk staff went above and beyond to help me resolve and EVisa issue for which I was very grateful. The location is ideal being only a block or so away from the main pedestrian zone in Puno and on a quiet side street. Room was spotless clean except for the exception noted below.

I would take a 0.25 mark off only because of some slight evidence of mold around on the caulking around the tub/shower and for the old school high step into the shower that would be a struggle for anyone any older than me.

Qelqatani is in the heart of Puno, and a very quick taxi ride to Lake Titicaca. The rooms look like they do in the pictures which is always great, and honestly I thought the beds/rooms were very comfortable. The bathroom was a little less clean (just inside the tub) and the water definitely runs cooler if you are like me and like hot showers. To be clear, the water was warm just not as hot as I generally use! The staff were amazing though, and helped my mom and I book a boat tour of the Uros Islands which I highly recommend. Breakfast was buffet style and tasty. The hotel is centrally located to go see the main square and park as well! Overall, it was a great stay.

The tub could have been slightly cleaner but it wasn't an issue by any means, and the hotel itself was pretty cold (given it was winter in Peru and Puno gets cold that wasn't totally surprising). I was able to keep my room warm with the heater, but I could see how the colder, darker hotel setting could potentially be an issue for folks so I'll mention it here!

Room big and convenient with nice bed and heating. Location - not far from the square. I stayed there on my first night in Peru and in the morning needed to get sim card and cash - everything was within short walking distance from the hotel. Descent breakfast included in the price, really kind staff. Stored some of my luggage without extra charge when I went to Uros for the night. Small points for improvement - - Heating could be stronger, room was still very cold. - Stronger shower pressure would be great.

Our room was nice, clean and had everything we needed: hot shower, heater and comfortable bed. The breakfast was great. The staff were super nice and flexible, they stored our luggage and let us stay in the lobby while waiting for our night bus.

The only minor inconvenience was that the cleaning staff entered our room twice while we were still there way before check out time (around 8 and 10 am). It wasn't a big deal for us but it would be nice to better coordinate the cleaning.

i arrived at 5:30 am (yeah... night bus from Arequipa). I waited in the lobby till 6:20, asked if the room was available, and if an early check-in was possible. The room was available, but I would have to pay an extra night. I suggested usually they charge max. half of the room rate. The recepcionist confirmed I would have to pay an extra day in full - she had asked the administrator - because I had a very good rate through booking.com. I didn't like that, and spent the morning doing an excsursion.

The location was excellent, just a few steps away from the center of Puno and its major attractions, restaurants, and bars! The staff was kind and friendly, offering helpful advice and suggestions. After check-out, I was allowed to use their relaxation area to work until my next bus. The room was truly spacious, with a generously sized bathroom. It was the first and only hotel with a radiator (very useful for drying clothes), a very comfortable bed, and a large wardrobe! The breakfast was excellent, especially with its variety.

Older hotel in good location close to plaza. Good breakfast with eggs to order. Staff VERY helpful. Bed comfy and room dark. Quiet at night. New bathroom with good hot water. Nothing fancy. At $35/night a good value. Tour of Lake Titicaca arranged for us was excellent - $28 all day including lunch.

Anything negative I could say is erased by the welcoming staff.

The hotel was in the prime quiet location not far from the square. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was great. This hotel was the only one that provided a water dispenser to fill my water bottle and I truly appreciated this feature. A good hotel to spend a couple of nights while visiting Lake Titicaca. The reception was friendly and efficient.
