Perfect spot for everything. Close to island hopping tour meet up place, perfect view at the balcony, perfect hostel to meet new people as they organize nightly activities, free coffee/tea all day, free bread and banana in the morning. The team is super friendly and feels like a family. Shout out to you all, Celeste, James, Joseph, for being so approachable, welcoming and friendly. I had nice conversation with you. To Elena & Mariel as well who spent my last night at the same time a birthday celeb in El nido , ‘twas so fun I am not a “bar person” but swear I super enjoyed it. Thank you so much, you guys are so good. I truly appreciate it. I met a lot of lovely people who made my birthday vacation even more memorable. 8days wasn’t enough for me and I wish I could have stayed longer. I will definitely come back and stay here again. ;)

The friendliest staff I have ever met at a hostel (shoutout to Jonnaleah, Celest and Joy!). They all knew my name and greeted me every day, helped me plan activities, made recommendations, and went over and above to ensure my first time in El Nido was memorable. The facilities were clean, the rooms were and bunks were fantastic. The location was great. Having the restaurant and DJ in the same building was awesome and convenient. I would "happily" go back to this hostel and recommend it to solo travelers and couples alike.

There was only one pillow in the bunk. A very minor thing, but it is nice having 2 pillows like at most places.

There are no words to describe Hostel Happiness in El Nido. First of all, they have amazing staff. Especially kudos to Jonnaleah, James, Joy and Joseph, who made my stay unforgettable. They are super helpful and every day organize some activities for hostel guests such as: movie nights, pub crawls, night pool party, game nights, trivia night and others. They also organized me 2 island hopping tour which were very cool. Staff is also very social and they are willing to hang out to show you the town after their work hours. When you are a guest in HH you also get some discount to the most popular pubs in town and 15% discount for food in their restaurant downstairs. Happiness Hostel is situated on the 2nd and 3rd floor. On the 2nd floor you'll find amazing common area, where you can find a terrace, games, books, free water, coffee and tea and bathrooms. When I spent time there I saw staff cleaning the floor every hour and shared facilities were super clean. On the 3rd floor I had my dormitory and it was also really good. Comfy mattress, clean enviroment, good AC, access to private terrace. I was so happy, so I extended my stay there and then I went to Boracay and booked Happiness Hostel branch there :D

Everything was perfect!

This is a really good hostel, the location is perfect, is one block from the beach and all the tours start on that point. The staff is so friendly and they help you with everything, they even organized my transfer to my next hostel in puerto princesa for a really good price. There is free coffee and hot sweet bread every morning, free bananas all day. The view from the balcony is amazing, beds are really comfortable and you can ask for extra blankets at night. Really good experience, as a solo traveler you can feel that the girls are always taking care of you and be sure that you feel comfortable everyday saying hello with a big smile ❤️

This place was a gem! I loved staying here and watching the boats leave in the morning for the tours. You can sit on the deck and watch the town and people. You have an ocean view and nice lounge to chill. Very social hostel, engaging others in activities to make it fun and chill. Very comfortable beds, lots of storage and privacy in the rooms. I loved the idea of collecting bracelets and getting discounts. I still wear mine 😊 I did two tours with the hostel Tour A and C and both were great and company that we went was very friendly as well.

Not property related but someone took my hairbrush from the bathroom 😞 not very pleasant experience.

Super cool place located right in the heart of El Nido town. Amazing staff who will literally help you out with anything you need. The rooms are nice and you still have a lot of privacy with the way they are setup. Right on the beach front and their restauarant/bar downstairs is so good, some of the best food and drink in El Nido! Extra 15% off when you stay in the hostel is handy too. Great facilities all round, good value for money.

Only issue I found was that there are no locks on the doors for your room! Even though the hostel is super secure, this might be an issue for some people. Otherwise, perfect place to base yourself when exploring El Nido.

What a stand out place! I felt so relaxed and at home with the arty upbeat design of the hostel, spacious comfortable & private beds, modern bathroom with good showers & toilets and great lobby area. The staff are so friendly and make an effort to welcome you throughout your stay. James on reception always had a smile! The maintenance cleaning staff are great and hung my clothes for drying everyday, along with constant cleaning to keep the hostel in great shape. It’s a small size (approx 30 beds) so very homely and always room in the lounge area, which opens with swing seats out on the balcony to hear the ocean & people watch below. The location is tops in a pedestrian only street just back from the beach. There is a Happiness cafe below where you get a discount and delish food to take advantage of. Loved it and would go straight back there next time!

If I could give 6 stars, I would. Loved this place!! I decided to make an exception and stay at a hostel (instead of getting a private room with bathroom at a hotel) because the vibe and personality of this place are just so awesome!! I ended up paying for two persons for a doubleroom, just so that I could have a private room all to myself. Great stay! Excellent customer service -Fantastic location!! P.S. after I checked out, I was supposed to do a 4 day/3 night Expedition tour from El Nido to Coron (booked through another company). When the expedition got canceled and I had no place to stay (because all accommodations in El Nido were fully booked), the girls (Ellen, Marielle, (and Celeste)) were going out of their way trying to help me find a place to stay on the island. I genuinely appreciate the care that they showed the whole time. I feel genuinely valued and cared for, not only as a hotel guest but as a guest of the Philippines. Thank you, Happiness Hostel and staff!!

Nothing. Everything was great.

The people were amazing! Marielle took is to Lio beach, she is super sweet and went around with my friend and I, James has been very kind and I really like playing chess with him. Hes very good and very outgoing. Joseph is also very friendly, he always checked to make sure my friend and I are doing ok, Jonna has a very bubbly personality, it was really lovely talking with her, Celeste and Ellen are always smiling and very approachable.

Nothing everything was perfect.

Very lovely hostel with great facilities. The common area has space to work with plugs and seats, place to chill with beanbags and a place to sit and watch the street. There is a cafe downstairs which has nice food. My bed was comfy with a curtain and shelf. The staff were lovely. On the first day there was some local food to try and we played card games in the evening and went to a bar.

I have had to knock off one point because at 8.30am on Sunday morning a guy downstairs in the restaurant kitchen started doing building work which is just a bit thoughtless. Everyone in 2 dorms woke up. It is attached to the hostel so a bit of thought maybe needed there!
