It was an historic building in a prime location with the city centre a few minutes walk away

Nothing except you had to park on road outside of the hotel. For us this was no problem as we found a space as soon as we arrived but I would guess that in peak season this may be a problem.

This is a great location in old town Torun. The staff is friendly and can provide excellent service in English. The breakfast is amazing, with huge variety and fresh cooked eggs and crepes. The beds are very comfortable. If you are accustomed to US luxury hotel standards, this property will still exceed your expectations.

We generally liked everything about the town and the hotel.

The attitude of the Maitre'D when asked if it was possible to eat in the hotel in the evening came as a great surprise to us. The Maitre'D told us that it was not possible to eat in the dining room as it was fully booked - furthermore it was not possible to have a drink at the bar. The Maitre'D ignored our advice that we were guests in the hotel. He could have quietly apologised to us that it was not possible to dine in the hotel that night because there was a function that had taken all available tables; he could also have provided a recommendation for an alternative dining location. Whilst we stayed in the hotel for two nights we did not feel inclined to dine there the following night either.

This hotel offered a satisfactory stay due to its excellent location in the very heart of Torun's old town, right by the medieval gate. This proximity made exploring the historic area incredibly convenient, with numerous restaurants and cafes just a short walk away. The room itself was exceptionally clean, a standard that I've found lacking in some higher-rated hotels. The bed was also notably comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest. Furthermore, all the necessary amenities were present in the room, which was appreciated. The breakfast offered a particularly rich assortment of food, with enough variants to likely satisfy a wide range of tastes and cravings. The ambiance and design of the breakfast area were also very pleasant. The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Overall, this hotel was a decent experience, and the cleanliness of the room was a definite highlight. Definitely would recommend it to any one visiting Torun!

The hotel is part of old building so looks inside like a castle and just cute with small statuettes here and there. Very good diverse breakfast, parking in front of hotel but 60 PLN. Close to road and 2-3 minutes to city center/old town.

One small window available, no air conditioning. Just ventilator. Ok for colder times but since these days/weeks we have very hot weather so kinda important. Very small bathroom/shower. During day there were few cafes around which looked like day cafes not night bars. But at night there were sounds very loud of people drinking and laughing. Great that they enjoy life, not great when you try to sleep at 2 am. Overall, if it wasn’t for that at 2 am, the hotel is good for 1-2 days.

This is a wonderful hotel located inside the town wall and near the river; The outside is delightfully decorated with playful statues in the windows. Breakfast was wonderful with so many choices (all identified with signage so you knew what you were eating; There were several cooks who prepared omelettes or eggs to orders; Atmosphere in the breakfast room was cozy and lovely music played; We were treated to gingerbread on our pillow; room was modern and well equipped with outlets and USB ports beside the bed and at the desk. Great stay...wish we had stayed longer; hotel is close to city center.

loved everything!!!

Huge two story room was fabulous for my husband and me and our young adult son. Immaculate and comfortable. Stunning, restored granary was a very special place to stay in this charming town. Breakfast buffet was fabulous. Lovely and helpful desk clerk checked us in on Saturday - wish I had gotten her name to tell management. She made us feel welcome.

We arrived at empty restaurant an hour before closing and were ignored. Two staff were rude (one did not stop vacuuming. We should have left at that point. I ordered glass of wine. After 15 minutes of waiting, we decided to walk out. The desk clerk encouraged us to stay and sent another waiter. The dinner was delicious but it was stressful after a long day of travel.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Spichrz in Torun. I stayed in a room in the annex building across the street, which had an elevator and the room had AC, which I really appreciated. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds extremely comfortable. I used both the kettle in the room, and the small minibar for my own drinks (after setting the minibar contents on the desk!). The room was quiet, and had a nice view of the river from the window. The breakfast was huge, and the staff were nice to get me some ice for my water bottle. It was a perfect location to explore the old town from.

Super nice breakfast buffet! Much better than expected for a 3 starts hotel. The room was very nice and clean with all comodities you need. The location is fantastic, in the core of the beautiful old town of Torun. Just on the Vistula river.

There is a little uncertainity whather You will get a parking place. The hotel is not offering any reservations but still charging when You use one of their places. So if You come late or want to move Your car and come back late, there might be no place for Your car. And in general parking in the old town is not easy. The alternative are othre parkings several minutes walk away.
