The hotel is in a fantastic location near the river and old town. There are a couple of excellent bars at the end of the road. It is also near the Gingerbread Museum so sometimes you could smell gingerbread in the hotel - lovely :) The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good but some things could be improved. The staff were polite and friendly. The communal areas and reception were very clean and welcoming. It was very nicely furnished. There was a good selection of tourist information available - maps and leaflets which were really useful. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe walking about at night.

The safe in the room did not work. The curtain in the room was inadequate and let the light in. Because of the style of the window a blind is needed. Breakfast was good but the orange juice was awful - not fresh. And the apple juice tasted watered down. The breakfast area is extremely small and can feel cramped. I was asked to state a time I wanted to come down for breakfast.

This is a small and cosy hotel situated in an old house right in the centre of the town, next door to the Living Museum of Gingerbread. It has 4 floors, each with 3-4 rooms. I had a room on the 4th floor, below the attic. The room was nice, clean, there was a fridge and a coffee maker, wifi worked well. I could not wish for more. I did not take breakfast in the hotel, as I was often leaving very early. Toruń has a relatively small and compact centre, which cen be easily discovered on foot from the hotel. There are many shops and restaurants all around and yes, of course, there are many gingerbread shops there as well. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at the Czarna Róża hotel and I would choose it for my next visit to Toruń again.

The only small inconvenience was the absence of air conditioning in the room. It was quite hot there at night and due to the noise from the street, I could not really leave the window open. But nothing too serious.

The location is really good is in the center of the city and everything was close. Also the view from my balcony was amazing. I arrived 30 minutes earlier and they allow me to do the early check-In that is always a nice touch. The breakfast is a short buffet but it has a little bit for everyone and on the weekend you can eat it till 11am that is very important for those of us who lik to sleep a lot. Many people complain about the stairs, but in the part I was they do have an elevator that is very good considering I was in the 3rd floor

The toilet paper. Is the worse toilet paper a hotel have, is bad quality and it start to desintegrate even in the fingers. Not even in hostels I have seen such a bad quality. So bring your own if you are visiting this place

Charming hotel, close to the Old Town. The room was clean and cosy with lovely glassed balcony and the river view. Breakfast was served from 7 till 10 or 11 (scrumble and boiled eggs, sausages, varied range of dairy products and so on). There is a possibility to buy local alcohol in the hotel bar e.g. ginger beer.

It should be a botteled water for free in the room (like in other hotel) instead of selling it for 5 zł per bottle. Our double bed wasn't comfortable because there were two single beds or mattress joined togerher. While hugging my husband I was falling into the hole between beds/mattress.

The hotel is ideally situated a very short walking distance to the town centre with all its restaurants , museums and other places to visit. It’s also near bus and tram stops . The main train station is only a couple of bus stops away . I found the hotel to be very quiet. My room had a beautiful view of the river which I could enjoy from my balcony. Both the room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean and it was very useful to have a fridge. The bed was extremely comfortable. More importantly given the time of the year the room was kept nicely warm at all times . Breakfast was available until quite late and was very copious. For the purpose of my visit I often had to go in and out of the hotel and I appreciated not having to go through reception but be able to use the other exit door. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again at hotel Czarna Roza.

This nice little hotel is right in the centre of Torun's old town, next door to the Gingerbread Museum and 5 min from most tourist sights. We stayed in the new wing, which is equipped with a lift and the room has a roofed balcony with views of the Vistula and the park (although it's summer and the views are blocked by the trees). The room is nice and comfortable, equipped with fridge, kettle, air-condition and the bathroom is of a decent size. The shower works well. The ladies at the reception are very helpful and friendly.

Friendly staff, breakfast, fridge in room, stylish iron work, cute courtyard and excellent location. Comfy bed. Extra door between the bedroom and hall is a real bonus - keeps the hall/stairs noise out.

Was hot when we stayed (28-29 degrees). Was surprised no air con. But the room stayed pretty cool with curtains shut to keep the sun out. A very welcome fan appeared on the 3rd day. I should've asked for one straight away. Pillows very lumpy. Soundproofing when someone upstairs above me wasn't great - the TV seemed to jiggle on the wall when someone walked about.

A welcoming environment from the moment I opened the door! Staff were friendly and helpful, room clean and quite suitable, breakfast was good European fare with great service, location perfect for walking the historic areas. So much value for money spent!

Steps were a bit challenging for these old legs but staff carried my bag up to my room. No complaints as the exercise is good for me.

Gorgeous! Awesome location, few steps to the old town and to tbe river. Lovely hotel staff, both at the reception and at the breakfast. Felt in love with that cozy accommodation. Seriously hope to visit it again

Not a dislike, any future guest, please keep in mind you're in the old town, i.e. parking lots are limited.

Very nice staff, quiet area, great location. Even though I didn't have breakfast included in the price, I still got a lovely coffee in the morning in the restaurant - thank you! Note: There are four floors in the hotel, and there is no lift, so something to consider when booking, if you travel with someone who needs easy access.
