We were impressed by this hotel. It's small so feels very calm and the fact it's recently refurbished means everything feels lovely, new and clean. The turndown service was really nice as were the extras in the mini bar. The breakfast was nice if a bit carb heavy.

The spa requires you to wear a swim cap to get into the water. That didn't really bother me but the attitude of the spa manager and the fact you have to pay for the swim caps did. If you have a rule which is unusual (first time in my life, including many trips to Portugal, where I've encountered this rule or seen swim caps outside of a public pool) the spa should provide the equipment needed to comply free of charge.

Passed the hotel 3 times but after that I was beamed into this 5* ambient. Rooms were great, bathroom perfect and breakfast was amazing. Very central but one thing bothered me: wellness was only open till 7pm

Staff, decor and facilities.

Rooms on the first floor number 3 4 and 5 are in fronf of staff door, public toilets and is the hallway towards the restaurant. I requested a bottle of porto of 250ml the same brand of a 750ml at any store was €12. The hotel charge for the 250ml €40. Absolutely shameless the markup. Room service is always more expensive but 400% markup is a rip off. I have stayed in SLH hotels before and this is not up to par to others.

The hotel was amazing and luxury with very great service and many attention to details that makes you feel valued. Service was great. Room was nice, bed very comfortable. The breakfast was super nice as well as fine dining. The other amazing thing - Amouge shampoo and shower gel. That smell - reminds me amazing time in Portugal.

Maybe some details shall be looked after more: flowers near the pool needed some attention, daily treat to the rooms - a bit boring - the same every day, I would expect at least different every day. Parking - I think i expected it would be included in the hotel price, it was not - additional payment we had to pay. ( this could have been told at the reception when check-in).

We absolutely loved everything! The staff was excellent, pleasant, and friendly! The property is beautiful and the perfect size! The room was so comfortable and well-decorated. It's in an ideal location close to everything in Aveiro! We loved the little details, notes, and sweets in the room for us! We definitely recommend it and will definitely be back! So modern and pretty! And the food at the restaurant was sooo good too! Breakfast had lots of options and was so good! Also dinner and snacks!

The property is beautiful and the service impeccable. As a bonus the hotel offers a 2star michelin restaurant which we highly recommend - note not available Sun/Mon nights. Breakfast was superb. Would stay again if returning to Aveiro.

We did snacks for dinner on the Sunday night when the 2 star michelin chef wasn't there. Food was good but some items offered are the same as on the other nights, but didn't compare. Staff was honest about it. Generally though, nothing to complain about. Book ahead if you would like to use the beautiful spa.

The Hotel is amazing! We stayed one night, and I chose it to propose to my future wife (And I thank to Hotel staff for their kindness and support on this behalf). The Hotel is cozy and is inspired in Eça de Queiróz, one of the main writers of Portuguese literature (also a journalist and a lawyer). The room given to us was extremely comfortable and had all the amenities for an Hotel of this category. It has one of the most beautiful spas I have ever been. From the interior pool, lying beneath the exterior pool, you have a panoramic view of the same, allowing a lot of light to come into it. Another good surprise was the beakfast, whose quality exceeded our best expectations. The staff was extremely willingful and commited on the quality of our stay, which we appreciated.

The only negative point I would raise is the price of the car park. We weren't informed that it has a cost, and we paid 25 EUR for less then 24 hours parking.

Beatiful boutique hotel with interior design that is elevated to the form of art you can't stop appreciating. Located in the center of Aveiro close to absolutely everything. Staff is simply amazing, service is perfected to the level of detail I have not experienced anywhere in the world and we travel a lot. Spa with saunas and pool was great to use on the rainly days in March. Breakfast was great with selection of fresh local produce and nights were finished off daily with poetic notes left in our room from the staff always coupled with Aveiro special deserts.

Absolutely nothing to dislike.

Exceptional facilities, beautiful comfortable rooms, friendly helpful staff and incredible bar service and great food at the restaurant and breakfast buffet. The indoor swimming pool was brilliant, likewise the gym, jacuzzi and sensory shower. Staff were knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and proud to present it to us on arrival . Our stay was absolutely amazing. Thank you to everyone.

Parking it tight in a Aveiro - we had to surrender our car key for valet parking at a cost of 24 euro per night - no choice. Also, my husband is a technologies geek and chrome caste did not work …. Not a user error - it just simply did not work.

A small luxury hotel with brilliant staff. Elegant decorated. We loved the chocolates, traditional cakes as well as the fresh flower as a welcome in our room. Excellent location with shops and restaurants nearby. Close to the cancel. Just around 20 hotel rooms.

We did go to the spa. Unfortunately I felt down on the slippy floor where I could saw there was obviously splash of water on the floor. Luckily I did not get hurt.
